Cannot access the Flash drive

I recently got a laptop (Lenovo, 6-8 years but initially ran old, running Windows 7 Vista.) and I plugged my USB key and was able to use it. A few days later (I had stayed at a friend's House and I left the drive in the laptop, so I have taken into account the fact that it could become corrupted). I was unable to use it. I can't try to change the drive letter for the drive does not appear in disk management and it gives me an error message saying 'Please insert a disk in the removable (e :)) disk '. When a look at the properties, the driver is good, but no data appears either. II is 16GB and I had about 10 GB of data on it. When I inserted the disc in my computer that is running Windows 8, the USB has not even appear. Device drivers have been installed, but when I went to the Windows Explorer, there is no drive not showing.

Hi Sam,

According to the description of the problem, it seems, the Flash drive is dead and it is not get recognized.

If the Flash drive is under warranty, contact the manufacturer of the drive to be replaced.

However, you can also run the fixit to solve any problem with the computer and see if that fixes the problem:

  • Cannot access the network drive after trying to change the shared folder.

I had a 80 GB drive connected to my E3000 for a few years and it worked without problem. I recently turned to a 250 GB Maxtor One Touch drive. When I plugged it, the router automatically creates a shared folder. I was able to connect to this folder without problem, but I wanted to share the whole score. When I made this adjustment and tried to save the settings, I temporarily lost access to the router. He gave me the standard page cannot be error message appears. When I got access changes seem to be made. When I try to access the drive of my laptop I get this error message, "the mapped network drive could be created", "the name specified network is no longer available". I rebooted and power rolled my router as well reconnected the drive.

I think that since you have replaced your hard drive, old settings are configured may still on the hard drive of old. You can change the users and group so that it syncs with the new hard drive or start from scratch (reformat the hard drive).

  • 4.0EA3: cannot access the mapped drives (Windows) in the file browser dialog boxes

All windows files Explorer allows access to local (hard drive) C: and D: (DVD) drives. It is not possible nor access readers mapped (that refer to our server of UNC file paths) - i.e. the network drives.

I tried the following access to the file Explorer:

    File-> open: does not work

File Data-> shape-> open: does not work

    Tools-> Preferences-> environment-> Logs-> Browse-> Log Directory: does not work

It worked / works great in SqlDev 3.2.2

I tried to dismiss the problems of connection and authentication to our SAN (network drives are fully accessible from Windows Explorer and same 11.1.2.2.0 JDeveloper) - I created a drive mapping on my hard drive. Can't see this mapping within the SqlDev either

  • Cannot remove the flash drive in the list recently opened in the control panel

I tried to erase all files recently opened in the control panel taskbar icon. But I'm unable to remove flash player from the list. Can someone help me how to remove it from the list.

    Screenshot attached

Normally if you want to clear this history of jump list, you can do the following:
    1. right click on the Start button and click on "Properties".
    2. under the "Start Menu" tab, uncheck "Store and display recently opened items in the start menu and the taskbar" to turn it off.

If you are still unable to get rid of the recently-opened items, try to delete the history of list of jump, which is stored in the following location:
    C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations

That should certainly erase the jumplists, but if the problem persists, check the below link for further troubleshooting:

  • Cannot access my C drive whn saving quicken files

Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

Initially, I couldn't access the C drive because I got the message that I need administrator privileges.  I found the answer to fix this problem, but when I try to save my quicken, data files for the quicken directory, I get the message, "there is no such thing as c:\program Quicken, you want to create?  When I click Yes I get a message "Please enter a valid directory."  I type in C:\program files\quicken\qdata12.qdf-backup command line.

There are two folders Program Files under Windows 7.  The second is Program Files (x 86) quicken where was installed.  I tried to type C:\Program Files (x86)\quicken\qdata12.qdf-backup and get the message cannot access the C: drive.) Please make sure the disc is ready, and the disk is not write protected.

I never had this problem on my other computer that is running Windows XP Home Edition SP3.

No, it isn't a problem with Quicken.  By a previous answer, the problem is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit running.  It does not allow access to the Quicken directory as was the case of all other versions of windows and quicken which I've used since 1991.

In Windows 7 Quicken is installed in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Quicken. Is the path of the file for saving my file qdata12.qdf: C:\Users\myusername\AppData, because that Win 7 protects the program files.

    RCWhite thanks for the answer.

  • Error: "the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process." when treid to install the device driver

Original title: Windows cannot install the drivers

I had a lot of trouble installing the drivers on my Windows computer.  I went straight in the Device Manager and deleted the devices I tried to install and reinstalled them, I went into safe mode, I got Windows to run the console and only the basic process and run from there Device Manager... no matter what I do the same mistake.

"The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process".

Even after a restore of the system, he did this, and I don't know what to do anymore.  Only devices that have been previously installed work.

What's more important install my Blackberry software because my phone is broken.  The software cannot detect my phone because the drivers have not been installed.  Most of the devices I can use with Linux (I have Windows Vista and Ubuntu running on the same computer), but RIM don't make Blackberry for Linux software, so I have to do it on Windows.

  • Cannot access the disk in the drive E:, please make sure that the drive is ready and the disk is not write protected.

When I try to backup Quicken, I received the error: cannot access the disk in the drive E:, please make sure that the drive is ready and the disk is not write protected.  My last backup of Quicken was 16/07/2010.  I don't know why I can't back up now.  Is there a way to fix this?

Why not save to a folder on your hard drive and burn them to a CD - R from there? I can't tell from the little you wrote if the problem is with Quicken (not work or you have incorrectly backup location) or with your CD - RW drive. How about more details to work with? • WES7: 'Windows cannot access the installation sources. "Check that the installation sources are accessible and restart the installation.

I try to install Windows Embedded Standard 7 on an vacuum Compact Flash 4 GB but when installing, I get an error message "Windows cannot access the installation sources. "Check that the installation sources are accessible, and run the Setup again."

I created an answer file with the Configuration of Image Editor and I created an Image of the IBW of my answer file. All the files and the Image of the IBW (738 MB) files are copied to a USB bootable 4 GB. I inserted the Flash DRIVE to a computer with a Compact Flash 4 GB (which contains only a primary NTFS partition set as Active) and it starts on a USB key. IBW Wizard starts and I followed the instructions until the disk selection step. I chose the disk and partition of Compact Flash and I press the next button. First 2 installation steps manage (copy of Windows files and extend Windows files) but 3rd step (installing features and updates) failed with the error message "Windows cannot access the installation sources. Check that the installation sources are accessible, and run the Setup again.'.»

I tried to do the same thing with a Compact Flash 4 GB, which contains 2 partitions: a primary NTFS defined as active and a system partition, but I got the same result. Then I tried to install it on a Compact Flash 8 GB which contains 1 single defined primary partition as active and I managed.

Problem is that I must install on a Compact Flash 4 GB.

    Can someone help me please?

  • How to transfer the movie to the flash drive

I am trying to transfer the video I made using imovie on a flash drive, but it cannot be copied, the film is the 5.62 GB and Flash drive is 32 GB.

Probably, your USB is formatted for a PC and not Apple. Most of them is set form in format FAT 32 PC, or something similar.  This format limits any file size to 4 GB.   It must be in MAC OS extended (journaled) format. Order/Get Info lets you know how it is formatted.    If it's not MAC OS extended (journaled) Apple, you can reformat the drive to MAC OS extended (journaled) using the utility disc on your Mac application.    You must first remove all files from your USB drive to a different drive, because reformatting the flash drive will delete all the files it contains.  Once the flash drive is reformatted, you will be able to tailor your movie on this subject, assuming that other files do not use disk space.
