Cannot access wireless (WRT54GL) options

Hello

I have an AG214 ADSL2 router that I use for my desktop PC. However, I have now also a WRT54GL for wireless connection. I have connected the WRT54GL to my AG214 via ethernet. Everything works fine, I have the wifi and I can use it to connect to the internet. However when I go to my router (192.168.x.x) I can't be able to find a wireless tab to configure my wifi. The network now is unsecure and a default name (linksys). How to access my wireless settings? When I access my router, she goes to the AG214, do I need to access the WRT54GL? If so, how do I?

Thank you for your time.

What is the IP address of the AG214?

How you you connected the WRT54GL the AG214? Which ports connect?

The WRT54GL's default IP address is 192.168.1.1. Connect a computer to one of the LAN ports of the WRT54GL and open http://192.168.1.1

    Help - please!

    Hi AMHurrel,

    This seems quite strange.

Have you changed anything on your installation?

When you say you did a complete removal and reinstall, how?

Here are the steps I follow:

The following procedure removes the software Instrument National:

    1. turn off the computer and physically remove or disconnect all devices that you have installed on your system.
This includes everything-PCI, ISA, USB, 1394-, or based on ethernet.

2 turn on the computer and go through Add/Remove Programs (START"SETTINGS" control PANEL"Add/Remove Programs)
and remove all OR related. As a general rule, if you remember, it is best to uninstall things in
the reverse order in which they were installed. For example, if you installed LabVIEW, then NOR-DAQ, then the
Internet developers Toolkit for LabVIEW, you must uninstall the Internet firstly, developers kit
    NOR-DAQ, then last LabVIEW.

    3. once everything has been deleted (don't be concerned at this stage if an item still appears in the)
Ajouter/suppression of programs list after you remove it), close all programs and restart your computer.

    4. go to the START button in your operating system, choose RUN and type 'regedit '. This will open up the registry
The Editor window. Go to the registry Menu and choose Export registry file. Select 'All' to the export range,
and select a file name. This creates a backup of the registry in case a mistake is made when you remove the key.

    5. remove the following components of the registry in the Windows registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\National Instruments remove the entire tree!
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\National Instruments remove the entire tree!
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI\ or \ISA and remove registry entries containing one
    keys with 1093 in them.

Don't worry if one of these trees are not listed. Continue with the rest of the process.

Note: You may need to change the security policies. In Windows 2000, 98, 95, NT, go to [regedt32] then
Security > permissions. In Windows XP, you can change the security using Edit options > permissions in the
    Publisher of the registry (regedit).

    6. close regedit.

    7. make sure that you don't have your own screws or other files in the "C:\VXIpnp."
"C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments", or "C:\WINDOWS\nidaq" folders. If you do, copy them to a
different location. If you are concerned about preserving old virtual tracks and your SCXI configuration.
then save the file "C:\WINDOWS\niconfig.daq", too. Delete all folders and files mentioned above.

Note: If you have Windows NT/2000, replace 'C:\Windows' with 'C:\WINNT' in the path listed above.

    8. save the attached file msiBlast.zip to your desktop.

    (a) extract the msiBlast.exe file from zip archive.
    (b) double click the downloaded msiBlast.exe file to run the executable.
    (c) choose the selection show only installers of NOR.

    (d) using select (Ctrl + left mouse click) of all National Instruments software that appears in MSIBlast.
    (e) press the button uninstall. This allows to uninstall all entries in register MSI of National Instruments.

    (f) Optional:
The repair option will open the installer of National instruments and run the option fix in the installer.

Maintenance mode will open the installer and allow the user to change the installation. To open the installation program indicate nothing in command line Arg? Dialog box.

    9. restart your computer.

    10. you should be ready to install your software. For the cleanest possible installation, first install all of your
software application, such as LabVIEW, Measurement Studio development, etc. Perform a custom installation so that you can
Install just the request WITHOUT DRIVERS EVERYTHING. Restart your PC after each installation request.
Even if the installation program does not tell you to restart, it would probably be a good idea to do it anyway.
Now install the software driver and follow the associated user manuals. Some older non-Plug-and-Play hardware
must be installed before the pilot. Download the latest versions of the drivers that support your hardware
She draws from our drivers and software updates (link below) and install them one by one, reset after each
    install.

    11. Lastly, stop and re - install your hardware. When you start back, he must be detected in MAX.

    NEITHER drivers link:- http://www.ni.com/softlib.nsf

    Noelle,
You can go to Device Manager and remove the wireless network adapter.  Then go to the website for the manufacturer of PC and download the downloaded current drivers.  Then restart your PC, and after that he finds the card even once use the new drivers with it and see if that helps.

  • My wired network cannot access computers connected wirelessly

    Very strange problem of networking:

Everything is Windows 7 and the network is defined as a working network.

My laptop (wireless) can see and access my desktop (wired), but my desktop computer, although it can see my laptop, cannot access.
If I connect the laptop cable, the Office can then access. I do not change anything, just plug in the cable.

If also connected to my netbook with unusual results. The netbook runs Windows 7 starter and is wireless
He can see the desktop and the laptop and access, but does not appear in its own computer network list in the Explorer.
It is visible in the desktop browser, but are not accessible from it. It does not appear on the Explorer of the laptop at all.
If I have the cables up to the netbook, the Office can then access it, but the netbook can then access the laptop if it is wireless.

Just to clarify - netbook on wireless - I can access the laptop (wireless or wired)
NetBook on cable (wireless or disable as well) I can still see the laptop, but cannot access it.

When I first put this network - a couple of years - all spoken at all. I think I lost it after an upgrade of windows, but don't know when because I rarely access the laptop from the desktop, usually the opposite.
Anyone got clues? Or how can I delete all networks and start again because I have a different network (same working group) on each PC name, but I can't change the names - windows seems to decide what to call them.

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

I would appreciate if you can help me with the following information.

    1. what happens when you try to access wireless computers? You receive an error message/code?

    2. don't you try to access folders to disable firewall/antivirus?

I put t know why you are 100% sure that the drivers work correctly if the yellow exclamation point appears in the Device Manager.
Once again; wireless network adapter appears on Device Manager-> network without any exclamation yellow cards?

  • Cannot start on the screen and can not access early startup options

Original title: no access "advanced boot options".

I've had my new Sony Vaio laptop for a little less than two months now, it came preloaded with Windows 8. However this afternoon after startup, I got a blue screen, followed by the message: "repair disk errors. It may take more than an hour to finish '. After less than 10 minutes, it restarted itself, only to start on a black screen with a cursor. When I stop or put it to sleep, it will start ONLY at the back screen after a short while on its loading screen "VAIO". Windows does not make me a "Advanced Boot options" as it should, so I have no access to any system restore, update them or safe mode options.

The only thing I've been able to think is to ask a Windows 8 install disc my manufacturer because I don't have access to an iso of windows 8 DVD/USB to boot from. Are there other options I can try as I wait to hear from Sony on an installation disk? I am so far not impressed with 8 in all, the system "Advanced Boot options" auto seems ridiculous to me.

I looked at the options for creating the installation of Windows 8 media, and I have access to another computer running Windows Vista to create this, but I don't have access to a product key of Windows 8, because my Sony notebook came with the operating system pre-installed, and I couldn't find a key product or on the laptop itself , or anywhere in the documentation that accompanies it. For this reason, the Installation of Windows 8 media doesn't seem to be an option for me.

However I saw a feature on my phone that allows me to start directly on the boot advanced options. an assist beside my power button which, when I hold while the laptop is turned off, starts directly at the menu said.

Now that I have access to advanced startup options, I tried an auto-recovery, he said was not possible, and I also had the same thing when you attempt a system refresh, so was the only thing I was able to reset to the factory settings.

I still have no idea what triggered the problem, or why it was not possible for automatic retrieval or update it, however it seems to work fine now that it is restored to factory settings, though not ideal or practical.

    Hello

What is the IP address of the hosts/servers LAN Gateway?

If this is not the ASA 'inside' interface IP address then I assume that the problem with VPN is simply routing.

For example, if your hosts/servers LAN wireless LAN gateway router then the following would happen to your Clients VPN connections.

    • Forms of customers login VPN users through configuring wireless routers static PAT (Port Forward) to interface "inside" ASA
    • Client VPN sends traffic through the VPN to ASA and again the host of the server or LAN.
    • Host/server LAN sees the connection from a network other than the LAN (192.168.202.0/24) and therefore to forward traffic to the default gateway that would likely be the wireless router.
    • Wireless router has no route to the network 192.168.202.0/24 (VPN Pool) and therefore uses its default route to the external network to forward traffic.
    • Client VPN host never received the traffic back as transmitted sound on the external network and abandoned by the ISP

So if the above assumption is correct, then you would at least need a configuration of the road on the wireless router that tells the device to transfer traffic to the network 192.168.202.0/24 to the 192.168.201.200 gateway IP address (which is the SAA)

I would like to know if the installation is as described above.
