  I understand that after getting your equipment repaired, you cannot activate Windows 8.

  As the ID of the product gets changed every time the internal components of the machine are modified and when you try to activate Windows it identifies it as a machine to new or different.

  I bought a 2006 Dell Studio 1555 with Windows 7 Pro/service pack of a member of my family about six weeks ago. It came with an installation disc (not OEM) and a key product, but when I did a reinstall of the computer keeps telling me that it is not the right activation code. It is also very slow during the update of Windows. I checked the product with Winkeyfinder 2.0 key and the program says it is the correct key but microsoft won't always validate.   Is the product key for the edition on the sticker at the bottom of the laptop COST corresponds to which edition of Windows 7 installed?

  I reinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium on my computer 2 months ago and had no problems until last night when the wallpaper turned black and in the corner it says Windows 7 Build 7601, this copy of Windows is not genuine.  My copy is authentic then when I'm go to type in my cd key to activate once again he gave me error 0xC004F063 code, saying that the Software Licensing Service reported that the BIOS is missing a required license.

  I did not any changes to my computer in terms of hardware.  I also ran a diagnostic report, as suggested, on similar topics. As a student, I use my computer laptop a lot for my work (and with a deadline tomorrow I'm panicking a lot) then I would be really grateful to anyone who can help me solve this problem.

  Edit * I think I must insist on this point since many places say to activate by phone, my phone is a Samsung Q330 laptop and as such, I've noticed that it does not come with many features of Windows that would probably be available for others.  Run slui.exe 4 does not open a box for me that allows me to choose a country for the activation of the phone (see below).  And cannot not get me other ways to activate when I go into the properties of the computer.

  This is a normal behavior for an OEM SLP key. It will not work until your product key is changed.

  This error message occurs more often because Windows thinks that your product key is already in use or not valid for the media you used. I saw this problem where a person uses a disc at retail to re - install on a machine that came with Windows preinstalled, but still wants to use the original product key, which, in itself, is still perfectly legal.

  The most common method for this problem is to use the option "Microsoft phone" do telephone activation.

  When you call, if offered, select the option to speak to a Microsoft representative, explain your situation and usually they will be able to talk you through the reactivation process. If this option is not available, you can do two things

  1. Try the automated function, in my experience, it works about 50% of the time.
  2. Saying / doing nothing - finally the automated system will pass you through to a real person.

  Additional info: If you have not yet tried the phone activation or activation failed, try the following:

  (1) run chkdsk as follows:

  A prompt by right clicking and select "Run as Administrator"
  and then at the command prompt, type: chkdsk /f r, then press the Enter key.

  If you are asked to plan the volume to check the next time that the system/PC reboots,
  Enter: y

  Now, restart the PC.

  If you know the manufacturing of your hard drive you can also download their diagnostic software.

• Cannot activate Windows 8 (error: 0xC004C003)

  I have the product key Windows 8 Pro
  and when I try to activate a key
  There show a 0xC004C003 error
  like this "error: 0xC004C003 the activation server determined the specified product key is blocked"
  Please help me...
  I had to use this key perfectly until I re - install Windows and cannot activate a key.

  How to activate Windows 8 by phone
   
  Press the Windows key + X and then click Run, and then type: slui.exe 4

  Then press the ENTER"" key.
   
  Select your "country" in the list.
   
  Choose the option "activate phone".
   
  Stay on the phone * do not select/press any option * and wait for a person to help you.
   
  Clearly state your problem to the support person.
