Cannot add a folder in Lightroom

Does anyone know why when you attempt to add a folder in Lightroom CC, I only have the option to select an existing folder rather than create a new one?

[Left generic Cloud/Setup forum for forum specific program...] MOD]

Select the top-level folder, you want to create the subfolder in the folder list, and then click on the + (Plus) sign at the top. you will get a drop down that has add subfolder.

  • Cannot add a folder of music to media player or media center.

When I try to add a folder of music for windows 8 media center, it isn't search pieces and does not add the file. When I return, I see no folder added to all and no music in the library. He guides me through the dialog box, find the folder, begins searching, and then ends quickly.

I found what was wrong. When I opened my libraries, the folders listed as documents, photos, videos, and music get a message indicating that I could remove them. Once I did, the addition of files worked fine. Don't know what that was the interaction, but the fact that these records were not valid seemed to cause the problem but no message came from Media Center itself.

  • Synchronize Lightroom is no longer a folder with subfolders. If I add photos outside of Lightroom, he could find them. That said a few weeks ago. I can import and he finds them and they will be important, but this means a lot of work

Synchronize Lightroom is no longer a folder with subfolders. If I add photos outside of Lightroom, it has been able to find and import - I heard that it was a bug - it is fixed or is there a setting I amissing?

Workaround for this bug is to choose "see the import dialog box before importing."  Please add your vote and the details of your question about this in the Adobe official feedback forum: synchronize Lightroom CC 2015.2 record any new images see the import dialog box is active. Although Adobe says that it is 'in progress', this does not mean that it will be necessarily fixed in the next version.  Add your vote and the details make more likely Adobe will give priority to a solution, and it will keep you informed of updates to the question.

  • Cannot add a new shared folder

When I try and add a folder (click on +) and select a folder, it does not appear in the list. Close the window pop up, but the folder does not appear in the list. I am logged on as administrator and use OS X El Capitan version 10.11.4 on a retina 5 K, 27-inch iMac, end of 2014 (in case none of this is useful).

    10.11.5 upgrade has fixed this.

  • Add parent folder and subfolder problem/question

I am unable to create a parent folder - I do that follow these instructions in the manual and only get a pop up to create a subfolder. Also, when I create a subfolder, images in the main folder are all also in the subfolder and then if I delete the subfolder images in the main folder also disappear and then I need to reimport. I'm on a Mac and using the latest Lightroom. Thank you if you have a preview! Kathryn

Below does not work on my computer:

    Add a parent folder

    • To add a new folder relative to the hierarchy of the folders Panel, select a top-level folder, right-click (Windows) or Ctrl-click (Mac OS), and then choose Add Parent folder.

There is no option to add a folder available for 2012_06_1a_Rome Parent... because the parent Pictures folder, is already visible.  You can say that it is the parent folder because it is sudden the hanging indent by one.  A folder cannot have more than one parent.

What are you actually move the 2012... Rome... under the 2012 folder?  If Yes, then what happens if you just drag-and - move the folder of Rome under the images folder?

    Hello

  • Cannot add a network printer

I have a problem with the printer! I have a network printer connected to my router via ethernet. I use the printer via wifi of two macbooks.

I got an error 'printer not connected' and have already tried the following several times:

    • reset the router
    • restarted the printer
    • Reset my printing system
    • renamed the folder library/printers
    • reinstalled my driver of Canon software
    • fact a boot secured my MacBook, then a normal departure

When I try to add the printer again (of course it was removed by rebooting) I don't see anything via Bonjour (in the default tab). The printer has a valid address (via DHCP) and I can ping to my macbook. I also tried to add the printer through the address IP (IPP) - it does not print.

I get all printing stations I can find no joy... help please!

    Peter

This morning, I tried to add a printer, and - as the magic - my printer appears in the window by default. Quickly, I added, print a test page, and then other PDF via Preview. Awesome! Then I tried to print a poster with Acrobat Reader, and I'm back for the message "printer not connected" that marked the beginning of my problems a week ago. Again, I have reset the printing system, even reinstalled two versions (more recent and earlier) drivers. I can ping the printer, but cannot add via IP either.

I searched more problems and solutions print, but in vain.

    Help, please!

  • Cannot add files/folders to the Media Player library

Hello.  New user of Windows Media Player (WMP) here.  Using Vista business so I think I have Media Player 11.

I have MP3 (converted M4a format) files on an external hard drive.  WMP will play them very well, but I can't seem to add them to the "library".  I tried to manually add the folder to the external hard drive, these files are in the folders that WMP scans to add items.  When I press 'OK', WMP seems analysis this folder added (it shows some 3 000 scanned files), but it only shows nothing added to the library.

I cannot rip from CD for this external hard drive and WMP looks ID, create folders and copy the songs to the disc hard drive very well (AND add them to the library very well).  But I can not "RIP" these MP3 files anywhere... "RIPPING" seems to be only for the files on CD and the computer.

I must be missing something simple!  Is it possible to add these existing MP3 files to my library?

    Thank you!

Your library has probably been corrupted, so it needs to be reset, by following the instructions for WMP 11 Vista at http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#medialibrary . Note the reset of the library will make you lose all the counts to play and possibly ratings too.

After the reset of the library, add the folder music on the external hard drive to the list of WMP watched folders.

If a music file Movie Maker crashes
in a format that is not compatible. If you convert
the file to the format of .wma before importing, you
    can have a better result.

The converter below might be helpful to try:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Format Factory
    http://www.pcfreetime.com/
    (FWIW... you can uncheck
all the boxes on the last screen)

After downloading and installing Format Factory...
Open the program and choose an output folder...
(this is where you will find your files when they are
    converted)

Drag and drop your audio clips on the main screen...

    Select "while"WMA"/ OK...

Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

    That should do it...

    Good luck.

All images are currently in the folder 'Picture' and are 95% of the .jpg files, some are .pspimage files (Paint Shop Pro) the exact wording is: "You cannot add this location to the Gallery" this folder or one of its parent folders is considered a system folder or is considered as a system folder or marked as hidden. Its recommended that you move your pictures in the pictures folder or to a different folder.

And can you tell me the difference between the Windows Gallery and Windows Live Gallery? (Incidentally, my photos appear in the Gallery Live.)

  • Cannot add Contacts Windows Live Mail rule

I'm trying to implement the rules of e-mail in Windows Live Mail on Windows 7 computer. I would first of all a folder to retrieve messages from all my Contacts (i.e. real people) and another to retrieve messages from organizations, I am interested in / attached to but whose email I have to see every day.

Have implemented a rule, I cannot add Contacts, even if it seems that I should be able to. Specifically, I'm trying to set up a rule to sort mail "when the line contains people". In the box "Select individuals", the statement is to "enter one name at a time and click Add, or select the names of your Windows Live Contacts" HOWEVER, we don't know don't not how to select the names of the Contacts. When I click on the Contacts button, I just get a list of Contacts but can't copy and add names to the mailbox rules.

I'm not typing one by one. I need help.

    Thank you.

While in the message rule, click the Contacts button and then double-click a Contact , and click Add. That should add to the rule.

  • He cannot add to keyword list.

Lightroom CC, I cannot add new keywords to the keyword list.  Dialog box works and there is no error message, but a new keyword, which is not added to the list.  I can tag a photo with a new keyword, but the new keyword does not appear in the list of keywords, and I can't get on it.

Yes, and it works.  So looking for a metadata.  It's just not going in the keywords list.

Thanks for the reply.  The new keyword is just not.  I tried to create a new catalog, and I managed to add a keyword, so it is not the program of LR.

First say you "it works"? So you're saying that the keyword is just not. So it did not work. I don't understand.

If you type the keyword in the keywords filter box and that you search on the keyword, then you should also be able to see where in the hierarchy, the key word is. Can you show us a screenshot of what happens when you type the keyword in the keywords filter area?

It does not resemble me you do what I suggested. It seems to me that looking for photos with the keyword, which is not what I've proposed. I suggest that you find the keyword (not Photos) by typing the keyword in the keywords filter box (which search keywords in the keywords list), not not by entering a keyword in the filter bar at the top (that would be find photos). Exactly what you do?

  • Cannot add to a JPanel after that removeAll() is triggered by an another swing zo

Examine the piece of code below. This is a much simplified version of my real application.
JPanel1 is a unique label. JPanel2 is a single button.
The jPanel2 button is supposed to erase claire (with removeAll()) jPanel1 and add a new label in place of the old. What actually happens, is that after the first button press, jPanel1 is indeed allowed by the removeAll() method but cannot add the new label (or rather it can be added, but will not appear.) I can hardcode the withdrawal and adding back all day and it works great. It is only when I use a component swing as JButton or JComboBox that it does not work. Why? What is a thread thing? (I know I can just change the text of the label, but the real app is much more complicated).
