  Of course, I tried to go to the mount point (in this case/opt/zimbra/store10) and quite capable of writing in it (touch, create the file + dir, etc...).

  The data device has root access to the NFS export. I have no idea about the cause of this error.

  Ok! I've found a workaround.

  Since adding a vmkernel remote interface doesn't seem to work with DVS, I simply created one on a standard vSwitch and it then migrated to the DVS. And voila: the value 9000 MTU migrated intact with her! Here are the steps I followed:

  1. put the ESX host into maintenance mode - evacuate VMs manually if necessary

  2 remove the VMKernel iSCSI/NFS to the DVS interface

  3. create a standard virtual switch with no physical cards. He has no need to be a VMKernel VM Networking switch is fine. Make a note of the name you gave to the PortGroup created on the new vSwitch.

  4 using the remote control line, add the new interface vkernel specifying an appropriate jumbo MTU (9000) and the PortGroup on the standard new vSwitch. For example:

  My laptop Home Premium 64 - bit of Windows 7 (client) cannot add the network printer that sits on the Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit computer. A client XP computer easily added the network printer. When you try to add the network printer, the Windows 7 client searches for the driver on the host computer and says "unable to connect to the printer - the operation has failed with error 0x000003e3. If you have a PC clone, then probably you need to reformat your hard drive and reinstall the operating system. If you have an OEM computer (example: HP, Dell, ETC) there is most likely instructions when you turn on/off press F11 or F12 to return the computer to the computer.

  ID_CITY a VARCHAR2 is not a number.  Thus, although "less than ('10')" is correct for a VARCHAR2 ("equal or superior (10)"), where do you think the value '2' would go? '2' less than '10' is? Where would the '21' value?  Where would '56'?  Tip: '21' is less than '3' and 56 'is less than 6'.

  Also your first partition is defined as "less than ('1')", which makes no sense.

  You get this error because your edit statement has an invalid syntax. In addition, you cannot partition a table that is not already configured for partitioning!

  You have to physically re-create the partitioned table in order to add new partitions to it.

• vifp addserver fails with the error cannot add the user

  This my first post on this forum that I couldn't find an answer via Google search. If I do not use correct terminology or fail to provide comprehensive information, please forgive me. I'm not an expert on VMWare, just a passionate curious tech. I found VMWare to be a very exciting and easy to use product. The VMWare knowledge base is excellent and so is the community of users.

  I have install VMWare ESXi 6.0 free House on servers Dell T420 and T110 II. I recently tested vMA 5 by installing it as a virtual machine on one of the servers. I watched the tutorial Youtube how to use vifp to add servers. I have network etc. on vMA installation and it works fine. Automatic update worked. I issue the command sudo vifp addserver 192.168.250.96, I am prompted for the password. When I enter the password, I get an error error: cannot add users. I checked the log file in /var/opt/vmware/vma/vifpd.log and the more descriptive message is:

  addServer: error occurred when adding users for 192.168.250.96... roll back. An error occurred during the creation of users on 192.168.250.96

  Then I noticed that since I'm on the console vMA to run these commands, as soon as the error occurs, I see that in the lower part, under recent tasks, I see an error: General system error: weak password. The details of the error says:

  Ah, it is a bit of a problem, I'm afraid.

  vSphere provides only the freespace on a level of data store, not by the hard drive.

  There are a number of ways to get the freespace by hard drive, but none of them are foolproof, as far as I know.

  For example have a peek at the post called Alan PowerCLI: using Virtual Machine disc

  This gives the freespace, but an internal view of the BONE. In other words, it shows the OS partition information.

  And mapping of the partitions of hard disk operating system is not simple.

  A good method, which works in most cases, is the method of Arnim Match VM and HDDs in Windows using PowerCLI

• Best way to disconnect the iSCSI storage

  I have a server cluster, connected to the Equallogic iSCSI storage. I want to delete and re-create a volume storage, but in a fairly safe way.
  Ideally, I would be able to take the volume out of action for a few days, but there are avaiable to reconnect if necessary. Normally, I would do this to simply put the volume offline. It can then be seen by the hosts, but I put it online as appropriate.
  East - meaning the best, though? It does not seem to cause some problems that are to do with map software iSCSI being unable to find the device, until a new analysis/reset of the host is according to me.
  Can anyone suggest a better way to do this?
