    Jeremias,

If I understand you correctly, the PC connected to the Cisco router can resolve names to IP addresses and is able to ping outside the destination, but you can not browse the internet. Is this correct?

I think an MTU problem. Even if your router connects Ethernet segments only, there may be an additional encapsulation somewhere along the way, by adding an extra burden to your packages and possibly causing them to become oversized. Can you try to add the ip tcp adjust-mss 1360 to your interface Vlan1 please and test connectivity again?

Also, what exact IP address you receive via DHCP on your GigabitEthernet8 interface? Ideally, can you like after the output of the show ip route and show ip cef between your Cisco router? Also, please include the output of commands show ip cef 8.8.8.8 detail .

    Best regards

    Peter

  • Cannot install Service Pack 2 using Windows Vista Home Edition or anything else on the internet.

    Hello

I tried to download and install Service Pack 2 using Windows Vista Home Edition, or anything like that on the internet without success. According to me, the key word is internet or a block of Vista from the internet to install anything. Many people here get the same error 80070005 for SP2 as I am, but I think that the problem is with Vista, how the system allows any installs or blocks installed from the internet. I suppose that some are able to go through the download process, but installation is where it does not pass through. There are moments where it seems that the installation of SP2 works, but it will fail eventually. Other times what ever happens to the installation process. The same goes for all other downloads and installs from the internet. I am able to install a program that already exists on the computer, so I know that installs works just not the Internet. Do not send me a link to install because it probably won't last through. I may be able to download but installation will not pass by so that the program will not work. I used the words installation and internet a lot for some reason please take account, when responding.

    Thank you

    Hello MikeQuigg,

Have you tried to change the wireless channel that your router is running at? There may be interference that could prevent the internet connection:

Take a look at step 6 in this article. He further explains this problem as possible:

If you need assistance to change the settings of the specific router, you will need to contact your router manufacturer or your internet service provider.

  • Cannot open the browser Internet Explorer V11 PDF files

    Hello

We have a problem with the display of PDF files from the Internet Explorer browser.

This problem appears to have occurred after our global deployment of Internet Explorer 11.  We already had Internet Explorer V9.

We are running Adobe Reader Version 11.0.10

    A temporary workaround is:

    GoTo IE-> tools-> manage add-ons

Select the PDF Adobe Reader Plugin (you may need to show all modules)

Disable the add-on Adobe PDF Reader

    Close Internet Explorer

    Open Internet Explorer

    GoTo IE-> tools-> manage add-ons

Select the PDF Adobe Reader Plugin (you may need to show all modules)

    Select the Adobe Reader Plugin

We have shown that the question does not return only rarely and the user must repeat the above steps to resolve.

We found that after the user activates the plugin again once the below registry key is deleted (as shown below)

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Settings\ {CA8A9780-280D-1 1See-A24D-444553540000}]
    "VerCache" = hex: 00, 62, 61, c7, 40, aa, 01, 00, 62, 61, c7, 40, aa, 01, 00, 00, 00, 00, 40,.
    D6, 09, 00, 00, 00, 0, 00, 25, 00, 03, 00, 00, 00, 0, 00, 25, 00, 03, 00, 09, 04, 00, 00

If the user has the registry key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Settings\ {CA8A9780-280D-11CF-A24D-444553540000}] then the user is not able to display PDF files in the browser Internet Explorer 11.

What causes the registry key to create?  Any help is much appreciated as we seek a long-term solution.

    Wireless router / Internet problems

I am running Windows Vista Home Edition with Security Essentials.  I can connect to my wireless router, but cannot get internet connectivity via Wireless.  If I connect the cable to the port on the router, I get internet connectivity.  Is there a firewall setting that could cause this problem?

    Hello

Your router could be suspicious here, you have successfully updated its firmware as a possible solution? And I would like to
Update your WiFi drivers on computers. How you are positioned in the router? Are there
    obstacles in the path?

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

Download - SAVE - go where you put it - right click – RUN AS ADMIN.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like
    updated drivers.

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they
are almost always old, and you can search drivers manually as needed.

I can use Ctrl + Alt + Del or Alt + Ctr + Shift lift the the Task Manager, and from there I can run firefox. Once in Firefox I can use the option open the file to find programs, do a right-click and then run them. But I want my back office. When I try to run Explorer from the Task Manager and then I get an error message saying it stopped and must be closed. I also keep getting an error message for something like 'Windows Search Protocol Host' or somesuch. A large part of time that this will just about a five-minute cycle in a style of window minimized down thing then the error message poopping upwards. I am also quite unable to open Control Panel or MSCONFIG. Whenever I try that they freeze and I get an error message saying that they have a problem and need to close. Also I did not change my software recently. In fact it worked fine yesterday when I was with Photoshop Elements 7.0. Another thing that can help anyone trying to find an answer that is in most of the forums help I saw people talking about going into regedit (something I CAN open it) and put the shell on explorer.exe. I don't have an explorer.exe in the processes tab and when I try to run it I just get "WIndows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Treat button"at the bottom right of the screen.
    Confirm 'End process' if necessary.

You should now be able to save your changes to
your photos normally. The bad news is that this
should be performed whenever you start or restart Vista.
And I don't know how to prevent the situation from
in the first place of loading.

The solution came to me when I could not recreate
the problem on a laptop with Vista Home.
Everything I could compare, I noticed that the
%Path% environment variable was not between different
    the 2 machines.

I guess that WLPG relies on the dll must be found
on the way to the system; When not found, it must return
Back to ' base or incomplete "library finds it
the default specific paths or the user. The solution for
me has been to ensure the entire path system
to the folders in the order appropriate.

    To fix, follow these steps:

    A. right click on the COMPUTER icon on the
    desktop and choose PROPERTIES

    B. choose ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS

    C. Si you are prompted by UAC to allow, go ahead.
    and ALLOW

    D. click on ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES...

    E. in the bottom half, under SYSTEM VARIABLES,.
Find the PATH variable and highlight the

    F. click the button CHANGE

    G. ensure that what starts with
    % SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;

    H. ensure you that a semicolon separates each entry.

    I. click OK three times

    J. restart the computer

    Good luck...
