  I followed all the instructions to create an editable region and save the site - everything works beautifully.   This information is set when the file is created.  Windows has no native ability to change.  You need a third party program.  For example, see link below.  Note that I have no idea if it's any good or works in Windows 7.  Gives you the link just to get an example of what to look for.

  Follow these steps to change the color of the font of the desktop folder.

  In Safari, I go to Google.com and do a google search. So far so good.

  Now, on the search results page, I try to edit the search in the Google search bar and nothing happens - the Google search bar is totally insensitive. To do another search, I use the address bar in Safari or reload google.com.
