  I don't know where to put this. I put this here because I'm a desktop user, but I use the Skype portal to change my details because there are more options out there than on the program itself. I used to be able to do so without any problems, but now...

  

  

  Why did none of these buttons perform an action when I click on them? I had reinstalled Windows and that you don't have Java if it means something.

  Don't get me wrong, I can always change my details within the program, but the portal has been my favorite way to edit the details of the profile and I'd like to find a way to make it work again if possible.

  

  The issue has been resolved. Apparently fixed the page itself.

  The only one I can say based on the error message that it could be a conflict between Skype and a system, maybe graphics card drivers. You can try to update your Skype to the latest version, either 5.5.0.124 or 5.6.0.110. See this:

  I can't change the details of file on a few songs and a few videos.
  I can change the name of the file, but nothing in the details section of properties.

  I checked the security and made sure I have total control and that I own the property, which did not help.

  Change in library view, instead of going to file properties, click a track and press F2 to change the data.

• Good for laptop - cannot change the ISP; keep returning to a previous provider

  Windows 7 laptop of my grandson, I'm migrating FIREFOX (excellent resource!) of my aging XP desktop. An existing Mozilla installation on the guarded device tries to connect to an ISP in Sydney (1000km) which kept out, I guess because the signal is too weak. Too far - on the Internet?

  Reinstalled my new ISP contact, reinstalled a fresh copy of Firefox, copied the old profile XP (just underneath the random string file name), but cannot change the fault. Firefox at startup tries to raise the old ISP (Sydney) and expires, and then allowing me to establish a manual connect with the ISP (my current) new.
  Perhaps a clue: in my Firefox troubleshooting info, change preferences, the browser start page is the address of 'old', with 'override mstone' ignore, what look like prints of registry entries, but I can't change all that - and maybe it's wise! An annoying secondary question: on arrival, the laptop listed no administrator user. So I am me came as an administrator, but I wonder if a past or current even Admin hidden could register (or other) entered resistant to change.

• Impossible to change the profiles of my 2 children, there is no EDIT option

  Recently, I created 2 children profiles, it seems they have en default location, but we live in the Canada.  When you try to activate child accounts he immediately asks me to put my credit card information as well as the address is specified in the United States.  I want to change the location of my accounts of children, but I see no EDIT option for profiles on my administrator account, and when I try to log on to the account of children he sent me on my administrator account, bottom line is, I can't change the profile of my children.  Help, please!  I followed my parent account options, but so far, none of them show EDIT on child accounts.

  I suspect that the reason why you had no answer is that no one understands the problem, because there is not enough detail to explain it. You have posted in the forum for e-mail client software - Windows Live Mail - which your question seems not to have any connection. So, I guessed, that you need help with Windows Live Family Safety, if your question has been moved to a forum where these issues are now after a reorganization of the forum.

  It might be useful if you answer these questions:

  1. I created 2 profiles of children: where?
     In a program on your computer? If so, which? Please give full name, for example Windows Live Family Safety, family of Norton 360 V5
     In an applet of the Control Panel on your computer, such as user accounts?
     On a website? If so, which? Please copy the address in the address bar of your browser and paste it into your reply here.
  2. What operating system is installed on the computer? If you are unsure, press the Windows key + R, type winver , and then press enter. This will show you the version of Windows installed.

  If this is not sufficient to allow a person to answer your question, it should at least be possible to point you in the right direction.

  This information is set when the file is created.  Windows has no native ability to change.  You need a third party program.  For example, see link below.  Note that I have no idea if it's any good or works in Windows 7.  Gives you the link just to get an example of what to look for.

  No, you cannot change this profile shortcut key.

  Here are a few shortcuts homescreen to another model. I don't have a complete list for the 8900, but 90% of them work:
