Cannot change the type of dimension in EA - 11.1.2.1

Hello

I tried to change a dimension of sparse dense tab of the properties of the sketch in EAS 11.1.2.1. But when I click in the menu drop down and replace it with Dense, all buttons (save, check, help, closing) are grayed out and I can't seem to make the change and have to close EAS altogether.

If anyone has encountered this before?

It occurs only when you select dense or sparse and leave the option selected.

try to choose something else, or you can use the file-> save

Kind regards

  • Cannot change the type of data in the columns referenced by foreign keys

    Hello:

I'm using Version 3.1.0.691 and change the types of data in many columns of data derived from the field types. If a column is referenced by a foreign key, however, the data type radio buttons are grayed out. I suppose that if I deleted the foreign key, that I would be able to change the data type of the column to a field, but that would be tedious. Is there another way to go about this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Doc

    Hi Doc,

If a column is referenced by a foreign key, however, the data type radio buttons are grayed out.

It is not good - if you have the PK column, and it is called by another FK column you can change the data type of column PK and FK column data type will follow the change. You cannot manually change the data type of column FK. Good column PK itself could relate to another column, and in this case you cannot change the data type of column PK.
In your case - you need to find the first PK/Uk column that is not the column FK itself and change its data type. FK columns in the chain will follow.

  • Cannot change the type of administrator account during an administrator account

Hello I seem to be stuck with the normal start safe mode and tried several things without success.
So far I used Safeboot/restart and restart with normal startup and "clean boot" method of
following the suggestions on the Microsoft Web site. Also reset all services by default. Whenever I try to start a service, it gives me the error 1084: Windows could not start the Windows Service on Local computer error 1084: this service cannot be started mode without failure or error 1068 "the dependency Service or group could start. Only some of the services have actually begun. Also, I can't in some documents and files, such as Documents and Settings and Config.Msi. With the error "there is no location (path) is not accessible"access denied" Almost all set so that it starts in the service is stopped and does not let me start with the same 2 errors. I tried to use the Windows Defender update option after the beginning of his service and I come with error found: Code 0x8007043c. I went to check if I had administrative rights by setting account type for my account current (user) who says it's an administrator account already, but he said that it is standard. When I try to switch to administrator it just combines the button "change account Type". At this point I don't know what to do besides restore my registry. Don't give me the option to the Windows recovery environment in the startup options (F8), although it could be F2 or F12, I noticed for another set of options to start the computer (Windows Vista Ultimate). Furthermore, after being not able to use the WIndows recovery environment, I just went ahead and used Directory Services Restore Mode. After doing this I used the system restore and restored to the last point that he had saved and it solved the problem - once he had fixed services. I want to note also that, File Checker (SFC.exe) system, fixed a problem I was experiencing a lot more before with my computer takes about 3 minutes to start. Now it is lightning fast. • Change the type of dimension 'Countries' in another dimension

Well, we have imported our once dimensions using LCM, cause he had to reduce the number of dimensions in the new application/cube.

Further along the road, we have realized that the dimension labeled as country was hurt, and then we could not import the hierarchies of the planning unit.

The question is how we can change the dimension marked as country planning. Is this possible in the relational database? Grateful for your help!

    Thank you!

    Hello Urbano,

... in the relational database... technically possible, but I wouldn't take that risk. If anything else on the road (next years) goes wrong, you always wonder if it's because of doing things in the relational database.

== I suppose here a native application of planning or an EPMA with local dimensions. ==

I create a new application and specify the correct size as entity (country). Can I export dimensions and modify the export files to meet the requirements. The country out of new dimension and give it the properties it takes taking the export of the current dimension and remove properties, that should no longer have.

Then import all and see how it goes.

Technically, you can leave the name of the dimension they are. This will help you with the other objects that you created.

    Kind regards

  • Cannot change the ePrint Android app paper type when printing photos

I have the app installed on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4) Android ePrint mobile and have a 7520 Photosmart printer at home.

When I'm at home, I see the same printer mentioned twice of the ePrint app, once via ePrint (with the printer shown e-mail address) mobile on my phone and the other wireless (with IP address).

If I were to print a picture from the application mobile ePrint, if I select my printer via a wireless connection, I see the option to change the type of paper, i.e. the plain paper or paper photo; But if I select the printer even via ePrint, the ability to change paper type no longer appears in the application.

When I travel, I do not see my printer via ePrint and I can't print a photo on from regular paper because of the absence of the option "document type." However, if I were to print a document via ePrint mobile application, the ability to change paper type appears.

    So to summarize:

    (1) mobile ePrint app photo wireless print - option "paper type" is present;

    (2) photo of ePrint mobile printing app via ePrint - option "paper type" is absent;

    (2) document of ePrint mobile printing app via ePrint - option "paper type" is present.

This may be by design, correct?

    Thank you.

    Hi phibei!

    Thank you for posting.

I did some research on your post.

You're right, this is normal. This is due to the method of communication used. When you use the application printing via ePrint, it sends information by e-mail and limits the options available.

  • Cannot change the guest account group

Long story short.  The guest account is somehow in the Administrators group.

    I use Windows Vista Home.

When I am logged into the guest account and I look under the name he said administrator.  I'm going to change the type of account, it shows that it is in the standard group.  It won't let me even change for the management group.  It is in the Administrators group or what?  READ MORE that it gets better.

  • Microsoft Movie Maker - cannot change the length of each clip.

Cannot change the length of each clip on Microsoft Movie Maker.

I clicked on 'tools', then 'options' in Microsoft Movie Maker after importing my media and organize my clips as the way I would like it. When I then click on the "Advanced" tab, image duration shows only 5 seconds with the transition period only 1.25 seconds, which is the default setting and that is also what I want. However, when I play my project in Movie Maker, it accelerates through each clip. I also noticed that when I press the title of 'Clip' in my headings at the top left and then click on 'Properties', the duration of each clip shows that only 00:02 seconds. Which is why my speed clips too quickly.

I would have thought that setting my time of duration in the Tools section would then set in the Clips section, but this is obniously does not. I don't understand why everyone would show differently and wonder if you can help me to slow down the speed that my movie is playing.

    ================================
The change of setting to: Tools / Options /.
Advanced... tab applies only to the added clips
to the timeline * after * you change the setting.

If you switch to view "Storyboard" and select
all of the clips as a batch (select one and the type...
CTRL + A)... you can add the 'Speed Up, Double.
or "Slow down, half" effect of changing the
duration. Simply select all clips / right click
the effect on the menu... Choose...
    Add to storyboard table.

'Speed Up, Double' cuts the duration of half.

"Slow Down, half ' double life.

These effects can be added up to six times.

    If you need finer adjustment...
    the info may be useful:

You can change the duration for each clip
manually. Move your pointer autour the
edge of an element until you see a double red
arrow. Now, drag the double red arrow...
you will see if show a ToolTip displays the duration
    train to change.

Or... just to redo the project after changing
    the long-term: Tools / Options / Advanced
    tab.

  • Cannot change network type in Windows 8

How can I change a network or private so that file sharing is allowed? I thought that you could click on it from pop to subwindow network on the right side of the screen, but only my physical network connection is listed.

    More details:

I have a physical Ethernet connection which is defined as a private network. Sharing files and any other communication on my LAN works fine. I also have a virtual connection through LogMeIn Hamachi which is defined as a public network. I can't find a way to change this. How to change network type in Windows 7 does not work in Windows 8.

Once, I was able to change the type of Ethernet from the public to the private network by selecting that I wanted to turn on sharing. Although now I cannot access the menu to change that pop on the pane by clicking on the icon of simple network. I was also able to do it once with the Hamachi network, but only the physical card network seemed to save the change after a while. At a time the network Hamachi was not identified, but he has switched back to show as a public network. That's if everything goes though temporary and can be another problem together.

I don't want to make an exception in my firewall, or make registry changes that specify all unidentified networks are established privately (two suggestions I found on the web so far).

So it took me a while to find this also, I fixed it by searching for troubleshooting as suggested above. In troubleshooting search box (top right) type homegroup, and then select the resolution of the problems of the residential group, even if you're not using home group, part of the diagnosis allows you to change the type of network from public to private/home, I jumped the diagnostic network also step and allowed me to very easily change the type of network.
