cannot close down my mini dell inspiron running a startrer.how windows 7 can I solve this

When I try to shut my system down not respond.it says that on the eve and hibernate.how no remedy

1. don't you make changes on the computer before the show?
2. you receive an error message on the computer?

Method 1:
I suggest you to disconnect all external devices except the mouse and keyboard and check if you are able to shut down the computer.
