Cannot configure automatic duplexing in Officejet 7310

I have attached the auto duplex printing accessory, but it doesn't seem to be recognised - I get only offered manual duplex.  I reinstalled the driver on the HP download site, the manual said to go to 'Configuration' and select "automatic two-sided printing Module"-, but this option is not there.

What operating system do you have?  In Vista, you would do the following: go to the Printers folder, do a right-click on the 7310, run as administrator, properties, (continue), device settings, installation options, set the duplex unit to installed, OK.

If you are using Vista you probably will need a patch to prevent printing upside down, see here for more detailson the back.

  • HP support cannot get officejet 7310 all-in-one to print even though looks and sounds like it is.

Printer, HP officejet 7310 all-in-one had not been used in 3 weeks.  Cartridge black ink but nevermind. New in color cartridge.  Print test works very well.   Do you have the drilling cleaning cartridge.  Downloaded diagnostic printing and scanning tool.  He ran.    Yes, it prints, but only a couple of lines are visible, but barely, ghostly, and then nada.  The color cartridge is not used.  This on a PC with windows XP.  So far, the printer worked great.  The same results if using Notepad or an Internet site.  Suggestions anyone?

The obvious suggestion is to replace the black cartridge.  If you need print now, you can use reserve mode or select photo paper (which will use only the color cartridge).

The printer will automatically not using the color cartridge when the black cartridge is out of ink.  If you want to use the color cartridge to print in black, you can remove the black cartridge.  The printer will then give an error on the screen but is printed in reserve mode using only the color cartridge.  Copies cannot be predicted with the printer by way of reservation, you will need to replace the black cartridge.

  • HP Officejet Pro L7580: "Automatic duplex printing Module is missing" message.

Although the double-sided printing works fine, the "Automatic duplex printing Module is missing" message, as I updated to Windows 10. I installed the latest drivers. Maybe a firmware update can do the trick?

    More from my side:

I thought a little more on this subject and maybe we can solve this problem with a printdriver alternativ.

Let's try a driver "HP Officejet Pro K550 series".

Perform the following steps to install the printdriver alternativ:

    • Right click in the bottom left of your desktop and select 'control panel '.
    • then select "devices and printers".
    • Click on "add a printer".
    • Then click on "my printer is not listed.
    • then mark "local printer" (bottom)
    • Select "HP" on the list on the left and "HP Officejet Pro K550 series" on the right
    • After that finish the wizard

After you have added the printer with success mark this printer as "standard printer" and allows to have an eye on printing and we'll see whether or not the error appears again.

  • Win7 x 64 native driver for the OfficeJet 6110 does not recognize the element of automatic duplex unit add-on unit

After upgrading my laptop Lenovo T61 to Windows 7 x 64, I find that my OfficeJet 6110 unit automatic duplexer is not recognized.  The duplexer has worked flawlessly for 3 years under Windows XP, but apparently he is not recognized with Win7 x 64 native driver.  The auto duplexer unit is a standard HP brand option for this printer.

The printer is connected to a USB hub, which is connected to my laptop.  The duplexer works fine when reconnected to a XP operating system with the pack of HP software/driver installed.

Y at - it a trick to make the add-on unit unit duplex automatic, recognized and functional element in Win7?

    Thank you!

    Hello
Enter the control panel > devices and printers.
Right-click the printer icon, and then click printer properties.
    Click the device settings tab.
As installed in Duplex Automatic Two-Sided accessory and then click OK to save the change.

    Salvation Dragon-fur,

I have uninstalled and installed the software of the printer for the fifth time and for the first time, I actually saw J6480 on the registration page. Settings of the printer turned on and the automatic was still missing.

I also checked "HP Officejet J6400 series properties" and found an option that did not previously exist under device settings.

Options installable unit duplex (for 2-Sided Printing) was put to uninstalled.  I changed this option to installed and finally I automatic two-sided printing.

  • 6500 power automatic duplex

I just bought an Officejet 6500 E709n. It came with the duplexing feature (accessory that attaches to the rear).

I earlier had an Officejet 7310 also having two-sided printing function.

I am doing with the 6500, what I was doing with the 7310:

-set the automatic duplex power (so that the ADF (ADF) will read both sides of the sheet)

-affect printing DUPLEX (so that the printer prints on both sides of the print media)

-copy a document of duplicate entry in a document to output duplex in the following way:

-I place a sheet (or a number of sheets) into the automatic document feeder

-AJD reads the side front side of the sheet and releases it only partially

-l' print the side front of the sheet and partially released so that it dries

-the drawee of the duplexer sheet out of back inside

-pull ADF, the rear entrance to the inside sheet in order to read the entry side back

-l' prints the side back of the plug provided by the duplexer and it releases completely

-If the other leaves are in the ADF, the ADF reads the next sheet and the process is repeated until there is no input more

I know how to set print double-sided on the 6500, but I can't find instructions for reading duplex value.

I just spent a few hours with the support of cat, which left me hanging at the end asking me to call HP Total Care phone support to the 1-800-474-6836.

    Can you help me?

The ADF in the OJ 6500 Wireless does not have the capacity automatic duplex. He cannot read the two sides of an original automatically.

  • Mystery on 1606dn supported sizes of paper for automatic duplex printing

I'm trying to find out if the 1606dn supports automatic duplex copy legal paper size, but the info is not in the user's manual, which just refers to "that the driver supports. Of course, I cannot and will not install the driver if I do not have the printer, so it's kind of impossible for me to check what paper sizes the driver supports.

In any case, someone has this information, or is it a secret or something?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Automatic duplex is supported for legal paper size as you can find targeted by the software's technical reference guide:

a duplexing unit is installed and manual duplexing is enabled in the driver, the product automatically
prints on both sides of paper types that are supported for automatic duplexing (Letter, A4, Legal, and
8.5 x 11 only). For paper types that are not supported for automatic duplexing, a Help message appears
prompting you to configure the driver settings for manual printing on both sides. Manual printing on both
    sides does not occur automatically.

  • How to upgrade my OfficeJet 7310 to Lion software?

I migrated all my docs and my old iMac to my new iMac under Snow Leopard apps running Lion. I have hp printers 4 connect to my iMac, the other via ethernet and others via the usb port. OfficeJet 7310 is the main printer. But I don't see software compatible Lion anywhere. Can not print or scan until hp came back with a new software? I could swear I read that all you have to do is to download from the BONE. But I can't find it on the OS. A technician Apple told me that as soon as I connect the impression to my new Mac, it will automatically download. But the 7310 is connected to the new one as the old and new iMacs are both connected to the same ATT router via ethernet.

Help, please. I can't completely switch computers until I have the ability to print on the new.

    Hello

To clarify, the Apple ICA module used for the analysis, it is an engine and not a software

By adding the printer, you will be able to print as used to, by pressing file > print from the specific application (for example. (Word, Textedit etc..)

To scan, you can scan using the "Print & Scan" Scan tab (located under system preferences).

Or open the Image Capture or preview of Applications and analysis here.

It will not require no single configuration, just follow the procedure of scanning those.

Just be aware that you will not be able to scan from the printer control panel as long as there is no comprehensive software solution, you need to run one of these Applications and perform analysis from there.

  • How manual duplex with OfficeJet 6500 has on Win7?

On Win7 with OfficeJet 6500 a (driver) there is no option Manual duplex (double-sided printing) in the print dialog box of the driver.

How can I perform manual duplex printing?

If this issue is left on the driver... Please add it to the rear in asap :-) Printer do not bother to buy without it.

    AmazingFactory,

You can see this post. It has some good information about the problem that you have posted on.

  • HP Color Laser Jet Pro M452dw: no automatic duplexing after update driver

Installed the updated driver and software M452dw.  I can't print any documents usng the automatic duplex function.  I changed the printer properties from one side of 2 sides, but the feature screen always manual duplex printing.  I have been using automatic duplex printing since I bought the printer in November 2015.  Something must have gone wrong with the update or it does not update correctly.  Suggestions are welcome and/or corrective action to fix the configuration.

You will need to go to devices and printers and right click on the printer icon and scroll first and left click Properties. Now at the top of the page click on device settings and then scroll down to the duplex of change not installed and installable options at installed and apply and save the settings and it should now work as you wish.
