Tried to connect to Windows Live Messenger and receive the error Code: 80072efd
I tried to correct the problem with the online help, but it did not help. I used the "get more information" and follow the directions with no positive results. I seems to be a missing file. My Internet connection is fine and have had no problem connecting through startup.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cannot connect to Windows Live or Hotmail
I get a message pop up at the beginning of a session that there was a problem that caused some parts of the Windows Live ID Sign - in Assistant must be turned off.
The binding specified for more information, the http://go.micosoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=144689 takes me to the Windows Live login page, where I'm asked to enter my user name for Outlook and the password. As I have not updated for Outlook, I get my id and password Hotmail.co.uk. When you submit this it seems to try to connect several times then tells me that there is a problem and to come back later.
I have not been able to access Windows Live or Hotmail since apply the updates of Windows in May. I have now apply updates in June and still do not have access.
Please indicate what measures are needed to solve this problem.
Thank you very much
Nigel Jeffery
OK, Yes, I managed to connect on Live.com with my Hotmail.co.uk id using the Google Chrome browser. I notice that my e-mail service has now been Outlook.com upgrade automatically. Don't know if this is part of the problem or not as I have been waiting for some time.
I also discovered that I can connect via IE (but only if TLS 1.2 is not checked in the advanced options). This seems to be the new behavior that my standard configuration has TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 are checked for safety.
NB: I am on Windows 7 Premium Home 64 bit version and IE 10.

I have problems to connect to Windows Live Mail on the Hotmail account.
Connection window Live Mail Hotmail problems
I have problems to connect to Windows Live Mail on the Hotmail account. I was wondering if anyone knows if this requires a paid subscription to Hotmail. Microsoft does not explain this.To configure the POP3/SMTP to Hotmail/MSN/Live.com access accounts in Windows Mail, use these settings:Make sure that all of your settings agree thereby. If you get an error message, do a right click on your error message, copy, then paste it into an answer here. We cannot do a lot of troubleshooting without the full error message. To give you a little history, Windows Mail does not support the HTTP messaging, which for a long time was the only authorized method of access for free Hotmail accounts. In addition, given that the development of Windows Mail was frozen in July 2006, there no knowledge that Microsoft has enabled POP access for free Hotmail/Live/MSN accounts in February 2009. Therefore, the Windows Mail Account Setup Wizard is hardcoded to reject the Hotmail and MSN addresses. To work around this limitation, when you enter your Hotmail/MSN email address, initially, use a fake domain, such as * address email is removed from the privacy *. After the account setup is complete, you can go back into the settings and correct your email address.Gary van, Microsoft MVP (Mail)

The error code indicates "connect to the mobile information server end." I came across this problem with Outlook Express similar years when Microsoft decided that Outlook cannot access Hotmail accounts on subscription. Email client has no connection to Google problem. After a lot of use of this feature of Pro Photo Tools to secure the location for my images geotagged information, I am not not able to do. The error message indicates, as seen above, I am unable to connect to "Windows Live Local." I have Windows XP Pro with service pack 3. I reinstalled Photo Pro and nothing has changed. My Images are jpeg. But being the difficulty in logging on to Windows Live Local, these things, I think, are not important. Any suggestions? Thank you.
