Cannot convert Windows 7 PC in insufficient permissions for VM

I tried to convert my PC Windows 7 in a virtual machine today and got the following error message.

"Insuffieicnt permissions to connect to 192.168.1.47\ADMIN$.

Paul

It does not help to change the share permissions, because it is used for installing the converter agent which also requires the appropriate permissions.

Use the 'Administrator' account to connect to the source system rather than a user who has administrator rights.

You can try to connect from the command line:

NET use *.
\Admin$ / u: administrator password

Also, look at the Converter log file or attach it to your next post.

  • Cannot reactivate windows after attempting to migrate desktop for Mac

Hello. My question is this. I used to use a PC, but now I have a Mac. I wanted to be able to access my old configuration, files and programs via the mac PC. I was recommended an app called "Parallel Desktop". I downloaded a demo and followed the instructions: I have "migrated" 30 gigabytes of info from my old PC to the Mac and tried to replicate my old office through a "virtual machine". Unfortunately, I couldn't go to the windows installation. It does not accept the certificate of authenticity. I tried to solve the problem by phone, but has been disconnected once (by someone claiming that their system was down) and rejected a second time (a machine who kindly directed me to this site).

So I wanted to ask: is there a way for me to be able to 'migrate' my office like claim in parallel? Is it a hoax? Is there a problem with the certificate of authenticity I use, which never gave me any problems before?

    thanx

Is there a problem with the certificate of authenticity I use, which never gave me any problems before?

If it came pre-installed, then Yes. OEM of Windows versions cannot be transferred to another machine...

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes before the show?
    2. is the computer is joined to the domain controller?

You can not start any application on a client computer that is joined to the domain controller. When you try to start this type of application, you receive an error message similar to the following:
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

This can also occur if the user account is damaged. If the computer is not connected to a domain controller, try the following steps.
    1. connect to another user account and create a new user account to fix the damaged user account.

    Hello

    ·        When you get the error message when you try to open any application or randomly?

    ·        Since when are you facing this problem?

    ·        Remember to make changes to the system?

    ·        You are the administrator of the system?

Jqsnotify.exe is a Java Quick Starter process. By default, the location of the file is C:\ProgramFiles\Java\jre6\bin\jqsnotify.exe and the file size is 48 KB.

By default, the jqsnotify.exe process loads automatically when you start your system. However, jqsnotify.exe is not an essential process and can be easily loaded manually if necessary.

  • Problems with insufficient permissions

I'm not able to download flashplayer. "I get an error message:"Required file CPL App.cpl:5 c:\windows\SysWOW64\FlashPlayer"could not be written due to insufficient permissions.  I am running Windows 7 64-bit with the Firefox browser.  My current Flash Player is disabled but lists it as 20.0.0.306. How can I fix this problem?

You got to have the Flash Player Control Panel opens when you try to run the update?  If Yes, close it and re-run the update will probably get done (he complains that the applet of the Control Panel cannot be overwritten, which could be because it is in use).

Otherwise, I could reboot and see if that does the job.  If not, the system of files/file is probably corrupted.

Analyze the file system and repair all errors (it is also a great time to make sure that your backups are current and functional):

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/2641432

Give it another shot.  If it still does not work, try using the unlocker utility for writing: http://download.cnet.com/s/unlocker/

Cannot access Pathname you have the appropriate permissions. Cannot download updates gives error code 643 and error code 5. Always gives access denied. You do not have the appropriate permissions. I am the administrator. Change all the complete control. Any other suggestions? Possible virus?

    Hello

You are unable to download the updates?

Try the following steps to resolve the problem:

Method 1: Temporarily disable any security (including firewalls) software and check if the problem persists.

    Check out these links:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

If disabling the security software solves the problem, then contact the manufacturer of the specific security software to fix the problem.

Important: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable
your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are
connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2:
See the article mentioned below and run the Fixit diagnostic tool to fix the error 643.

You receive error code 80070643 0 x or 0 x 643, code error when you use the Windows Update or Microsoft Update Web sites to install updates:

    Hi tomholland69,

    ·         What is the full error message?

    ·         You are able to download other programs?

    ·         What web browser do you use?

    ·         What anti-virus program do you use?

    Follow these methods.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.

  • Cannot install windows 7, error: Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is the GPT partition style.

Original title: Install windows 7 on GTP style partition

    Nice day

I try to install windows 7 on my laptop but there is a massege
Say cannot install windows on the selected drive cos it's GTP
Partion of style, I was using before windows 8 but then format
My hard drive please guide me on how to archive this because only through
    I'm really frastrated

    Hi Nnrmalata,

    1. you are trying to install 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7?

    2. What is the brand and model of your computer?

Boot from GPT is only supported for 64-bit of Windows 7 on UEFI-based systems.

For more details, refer to this link:

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/hardware/gg463525.aspx

If your computer does not support UEFI, back up your important data to an external drive and delete all partitions on hard drives and create a new partition.

    (a) start from the Windows 7 DVD

    (b) click on install now

    (c) in the configuration screen, click Custom (Advanced)

    (d) click on drive Options

    (e) select the partitions to format

    (f) click on Format - this will erase EVERYTHING on this partition

    (g) create a new partition, and then select a partition to install Windows on.

    (h) follow the on-screen instructions and install Windows.

Note: Converting a hard disk partition or volume from NTFS to FAT32 requires that you reformat the partition, which deletes all the data on this subject. Be sure to back up data that you want to keep before you begin.

You can check the link for reference:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd799232 (WS.10) .aspx

Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

If above did not help, please refer to the steps in this link.

Note: Backup your important data to an external drive

Change a Table of Partition GUID drive on a main boot drive
