Cannot create because of hidden file hiberfil.sys.

I can't activate hibernate on my Windows XP Home Edition because it is actually impossible to create the hiberfil.sys file. Any attempt to create the file cause error 'access denied '. I am an administrator on the computer and you can create any other file in the root directory of the system E: drive.
Sort the list of files in the root directory, I think do not show the file. Any attempt to open the result file in 'access denied '.
Cacls hiberfil.sys prints "the system cannot find the file specified."
However, there are few programs that can see the file. For example, MyDefrag can show map disk file and the E:\hiberfil.sys file is considered to be a file system.
What would you recommend to remove this invisible file?

OK, I managed to solve the problem.
Using disk hex editor I changed the name of hiberfil.sys to hiberfil.syt in $MFT, then chkdsk some kind restored the file and changed Hibernate service its size in current memory of the PC. The file is now visible.
I'll check if hibernation is actually at work.

    Hi dakota25,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You are able to install other updates successfully?

    ·         You get the error message?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

  • Cannot create Excel to pdf files in Adobe Pro XI

I have lots to create pdf files in Adobe Pro XI every two weeks.  Two weeks ago, I was unable to do more.  It seems that Adobe cannot open Excel or something.  I go to file/create/batch create multiple files.  I add files and select the directory to put them.  I get "unexpected error has occurred.  PDFMaker was able to produce the PDF from Adobe. "I fixed Adobe Adobe and inside Control Panel, uninstalled then reinstalled Adobe, checked the items disabled in Excel and unchecked and rechecked Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin in Excel.  I am still unable to create even a single pdf file from Adobe.  I'll have to open each file separately in Excel and convert them to PDF format it.  Any help is appreciated.

I found the answer.  I was able to create files in Word that made me believe that the problem was with Excel and not Adobe.  I did a repair of Excel, and all is well.

  • Cannot create the folder of files of creative cloud.

I get this message when I try to synchronize files with creative cloud folder:

    creative_cloud_problem.jpg

I tried the options and close the program and restart the computer, but not luck.

I had the same problem. SOLVED

Looking at the lines CoreSync-YYYY-MM - DD.log , I noticed about corruption .db messages in the CoreSync directory.

    I resolved to rename

    \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync C:\Users\

    in

    \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync.old C:\Users\

Before to rename you must be sure that the creative cloud application is not running.

Then, turned off the option "Start connecting" in the preferences, then longin again.

After the connection, rename and then manually start the creative Application of cloud.

The application creates a new directory CoreSync, and it starts the sync!

If this work for you, then you can remove safely the CoreSync.old directory.

you do not need to change your spfile, create a valid directory for AUDIT_FILE_DEST

If you do not know the value necessary relating to alert.log
or take a look at your spfile
or connect as a system with the parameter checking
or find your spfile by see the spfile parameter
or find your spfile in your alert.log
or find with the trial obviously ist started and open.

Buy a USB external case for hard drives (about 25 US $). Remove the
drive and put it in the case (very easy and quick to do, even if you)
    are all thumbs).
Then you can connect the player to a USB port on a different computer and
copy the photos and MP3s from it.

It seems that your name is db12c, so just change the name of initcdb1.ora to initdb12c.ora just to have a regularity.

The most important thing is that the name of your instance defined as ORACLE_SID owes much to a model.

    In the example

    db_name = WHATEVR (in your init*.ora file)

ORACLE_SID = SOMETHING (at the level of the BONE)

If your init.ora file must be called initSOMETHING.ora. It has nothing to do with your db_name

  • Cannot create PDF using Excel files

I use Acrobat PDFMaker 5.0 for Excel convert PDF files to send to the clients of my bills, but for some unknown reason, it suddenly stopped working. He begins the process of conversion OK but then freezes and just hangs. I can continue to use my PC, but the CPU usage shows that 100%. I find myself either having to cancel the conversion or close the program completely by using the Task Manager.

I'm afraid that I'm not savvy computer very, but I really need to find a solution to this problem as soon as possible.

    Please can someone help me?

    Thank you.

Thanks for the replies, I found the solution partly by accident. I tried others with a similar problem and google the AcroTray mentioned by Bill@VT. My PC has been running slow lately and a colleague ran msconfig and stopped the Acrobat Assistant to run at startup to the top. I allowed again and now I can convert my files again, although slowly sometimes!

Thank you for all your help, it is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

"beep" codes are usually a sign of hardware failure

Here is information on the beep codes and their meanings

you need to find your computer manufacturer what Bios you have in your computer

If you can not fix it:

If under warranty, contact the manufacturer of your computer

  • Cannot delete hiberfil.sys. No matter what.

Hi guys, for the last few weeks I was on a trip to remove hiberfile.sys frustrating and in desperation I asked for help.

My Windows 7 is installed on its own disk having a capacity of 29.7 GB. I was installing all my programs and everything on the other drive, but the hiberfil.sys is taking 8.3 GB and despite all my best efforts (using CCcleaner, media stored on external HD etc etc) this car only has a few hundred MB free and is way in the red.
Result is, I don't want to Hibernate, and I don't want this file with 27% of my C: / and it will not leave.

OK, so I read almost all guides on the 3 first pages of google search images "delete hiberfil.sys" and they all give essentially the same steps.
so far, that's what I did:
    • Go to settings of power and assured Hibernate is disabled - in fact this isn't there at all.
    • Open a cmd in administrator mode and type powercfg-h off prompt.
    • I also did the foregoing in about 50 setups a different syntax - all I found online (e.g., powercfg.exe HIBERNATE OFF)
    • I know for a fact that the syntax works because I used 50 powercfg.exe/HIBERNATE/Size and it actually changed the size. It has really changed the size of 6 GB to 8 GB which has been a big shock, because I was under the impression she's 75% by default, but anyway...
    • After powercfg-off in the syntax as much as I could find, I want to restart my machine and the hiberfil.sys is always still there.
    • Not where I could find online or on forums showed those who encounter this same problem where it is not removed after you perform this step.
So what is so special about my laptop? Can you tell me (well I hope that you can anyway).
I appreciate any help you can give me - this thing has been so annoys me and I can't do anything to get rid of this redundant file.
    Thanks in advance :)

    Hi Vaughan,

The Hiberfil.sys hidden system file is located in the folder root of the drive where the operating system is installed. The Windows Kernel Power Manager reserves this file when you install Windows. The size of this file is approximately equal to the amount of memory (RAM) is installed on the computer.

The computer uses the file Hiberfil.sys to store a copy of the system hard disk memory when sleep hybrid setting is turned on. If this file is not present, the computer cannot Hibernate.

I suggest you delete the file in safe mode and check. Ensure that hibernation is not enabled.

If you still can't delete it, use the Windows 7 installation disc to start the computer in safe mode with command prompt and run the command to remove the file.

For more information, see the link.

How to disable and re-enable hibernation on a computer that is running Windows

Please post back with the results and we will be happy to help you further.
