Cannot create wireless network

I'm having a problem making the myRIO create its own wireless network. It has the ability to do so, as shown in the tutorial of myRIO OR video to http://www.ni.com/academic/students/learn-rio/applications/ in the dashboard of data and OR video myRIO @ 57 seconds. In the video, it clearly shows the ability to create wireless network, however, when I followed the instructions in the video, I don't have the option listed to create the wireless network. The attached picture shows my screen and lack clear option.

I'm new to myRIO and so still learning, but I have no idea why I did not have this option. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Juan

    Original title: no network card
I installed a NETGEAR N300 Wireless USB Adapter on my computer which is a desk top Dell 64-bit running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium. There are five computers on my network. Two of the others use the same model of NETGEAR wireless USB adapt. I removed the Ethernet cable after the installation of the wireless adapter. I can say that the new wireless adapter works fine. When I tried to map the network I got the same message that appears in some of these problems: "Windows cannot create the network map. Responses of the other devices on the network are delayed or there is a router on the network incapatible". I have restarted this computer in SafeMode as suggested in the above problems. I tried other things like disabling the wired connection has always existed for the cable. No effect. Then I tried mapping the network on the other computers. All failed with the same message. All the other four computers are 32-bit. Three of these computers are also running Windows 7 Home Premium. They are the best desktop computers. The other computer is a Windows 7 Starter netbook running. It is the 32-bit computer, always using a cable. That will be replaced with the same wireless adapter model NETGEAR. Anyone know how to fix this or is this a bug? It would be nice of the network software of Windows 7 has worked as it is supposed to. TO.

I went the last wired wireless computer and the problem disappeared. The five computers can view the map now without any problems.

  • Satellite T135D - cannot detect wireless networks

    I bought a T135D early January.
Everything was happy until one day my laptop decides it cannot detect wireless networks, and even less to connect to one.
I don't think the T135 came with a manual switch, while in the BIOS it says it's on.

The graph with the antenna and 4 bars charge is no longer at startup, or the light that lights up on the front of my laptop. It's frustrating to have this kind of problem so early in the game with the T135D.

    Hello

The wireless network must be activated by pressing the FN + F8 key combination.
    Have you tried that?

    If not, please check it

Of course, you must make sure that the WLan card driver is always up to date.

    Any help?

    Hi Duane_TN,

Are your computer and your computer wife have chipset or card network NVIDIA perchance? or a Linksys router by chance?  This is a post in the forum of Linksys, you might want to check in to see if it applies to your computers:

Symptom: Windows Vista computers are not put on the Vista network map.

Or well, you get the following message when you try to view the full network map:

"Windows cannot create a network adapter for the type of connection chosen network."

    To check go to:
    PANEL-> CENTER NETWORK AND SHARING.
    SEE the FULL map (top-right)
    and find either:

    1. A Windows Vista-based computer is listed down under: "the following peripheral discovered may not be placed in the plan.

      or

    2. You get the message, "Windows cannot create a network adapter for the type of network connection.

    Possible cause:
The offending computer has an NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller whose property "priority and VLAN" to "priority"active & VLAN.

    Solution:
Set the property 'priority & VLAN"to"Priority and VLAN Disabled"as follows:
    Reach:
    START-> CONTROL PANEL-> ADMINISTRATION-> COMPUTER MANAGEMENT TOOLS

In the resultant "computer management" window select:
    DEVICE MANAGER (left side).
    "NICs" (right).
Expand "Network adapters" and see if it lists a NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller.
Right click on 'NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller' and select 'properties '.

In the resultant 'NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller Properties' window, select:
    "Advanced"(tab) ".
Under the list of the 'properties', select 'priority & VLAN.
for 'Value' assign ' priority and VLAN disabled.

  • PROBLEM! Cannot view wireless networks!

Hi, I am currently running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit on my office and cannot view wireless networks!

I tried to use two wireless adapters and both show active although they cannot show all networks.
LAN works perfectly well and when I try to add a wireless network, it is said "an unexpected error has occurred."
I have updated drivers for two adapters to the correct version wireless and little. No yellow icon in the Device Manager.
I also checked to see if power saving has been enabled for the device and power options that are disabled.
Two wireless adapters are using a USB port, not PCI. I abandoned everything simply! I need some advice on how to solve this problem! I can provide more information if necessary. But please help me with this problem :(
I also disabled anti virus software and my firewall!
The wireless adapter, I am using is the:
TRENDnet TEW-649UB Wireless USB adapter N speed

    UPDATE! :
We have some progress I uninstalled all the previous windows updates and can now see wireless networks (such as firewall/AV). The problem I have now is that when I try to connect it said "Windows could not connect. He also says in the settings of cards tab my wireless adapter is "authentication attempt.

    Hi Tatiana,

    ·         Have you tried to install the drivers from the manufacturer's Web site?

    ·         Have you checked if the network card works on another computer?

Download drivers card network from the manufacturer's website and check manually.

    http://www.TRENDnet.com/downloads/list_subcategory.asp?SUBTYPE_ID=1353

Alternatively, you can deal with this problem due to security software. I suggest that disable you the security like anti-virus and firewall software and check if the problem persists.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Call the helpline for the manufacturer of your network adapter. It is likely that neither Windows nor the router have problems, it's just a matter of getting the configuration on both put in place settings to work properly together. The manufacturer of the router will be the best resource to learn how to configure their device.

  • Intel WiFi Link 5100 network card - cannot detect wireless networks

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-1270us. My wireless card is an Intel WiFi Link 5100.

Running Windows Vista 64 bit, Ubuntu Linux, Linux Mint and Fedora Linux (various versions, all), the wireless works fine. My desktop computers to work with wireless cards to connect to the network work very well, and all computers (except mine) to connect to my home network very well; which means that it is not a problem with wireless networks, or with my network card. I try to manually connect to the network, but it can't find it. Diagnosis requires that the card is disabled, and that I should turn it on via the switch on my laptop running: fact.

During the installation of Windows 7 64 bit, I cannot see wireless networks (and therefore unable to connect). Re-formated and reinstalled again, check the wireless connectivity between each batch of Windows Update, but it has never worked.

I downloaded the latest drivers from Intel, via Microsoft Compatibility Center (version 15.2.0 driver).

There is no system restore option because he has never worked as a first step, except in all other OS, I got on the computer. Microsoft Compatibility says the map is compatible, then Device Manager shows no problems. The network adapter is active via switch on my laptop.

Happy that you guessed it sorted!

  • My office wireless icon is x'd - cannot detect wireless networks.

My computer screen suddenly went black this evening - the monitor was still, the fans were still humming, but it was totally insensitive.

I forced a stop, and when I rebooted the computer, my wireless icon has been x'd out. My computer cannot detect wireless networks (there are a half-dozen or more in my building). I tried a good stop and restart, but the problem was still there.

The Network Diagnostics tool told me to check the router, so I did--but all other devices in the House are connected very well. I thought it would be a malware, so I ran a MalwareBytes scan, which turned up nothing. Then I reinstalled the drivers from the card WLAN - no luck there.

System Restore has not solved the problem. ipconfig says "media state: disconnected ' for my WIFI adapter, but I don't know how to fix this. In the devices, the Broadcom WLAN card Manager, he says "this device is functioning correctly.

I work from home, so it is important that I can access my wireless. Help, please!

  • Internet disconnects and cannot find wireless network periodically. I have to restart to fix it temporarily.

SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!  I have a very old laptop, since 2002, I think, that is running XP Home. Recently my laptop started to cut all of a sudden and then cannot find the wireless network. I know that this is not the WiFi because my other laptop works very well. When I restart the laptop, it works up until I try to download something and sometimes turns off while I'm browsing. I have a RTL8185 wireless card, which I replaced it with the same model. Still no change. I spent weeks in different forums, try to understand this point, and I don't have a chance.

I thank very you much for your time. I called my ISP and he told me to try restoring the system to determine if it was the settings or if it was the hardware. Instead, I decided to search the Internet how to speed up my network because Chrome was really slow on the cell affected.

I happened to run across this Web site
When I disabled all protocols except TCP/IP Protocol, the network WORKED! Now the Internet works, I can download large files and browse shared files with the same speed as my other laptop!
I hope this can help someone else with this problem!

    Hello

If everything checked OK wise network, and you have mentioned before: ' sfc/scannow' in the command as administrator prompt and it said "windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to trouble".

It is perhaps that some kernel files are corrupted and cannot be updated.

    Refresh the Installation of XP.

To be safe, back up your data and some special stuff to a flash drive.

    ----------------------------------

Boot from the original XP CD. Pass the first screen offering Console repair and proceed as if you install a new XP.

After accepting etc., the new Setup screen lights up and would detect the current XP installation.

You have an option to press R to repair.

Use it, would take about 45 min. and you would an Installation of XP refresh all by keeping your Application, data and XP configuration.

P.S. If you have made changes to the WinXP definition (special permission as firewall) security to look on them after the update because they could go back to the default value.

Please I really need help, how do I get my laptop to detect the wireless network. If someone could give me a few steps to do, please.

Most laptops have a switch that turns the wifi radio on or off.  Often, it is a combination of the Fn key and one of the F keys.  It may be a physical switch somewhere on the laptop.  See your manual for details.

    If this isn't the problem...

What is the brand and model of your router?  Almost all wifi routers also have at least one Ethernet port, you can connect your computer to the router with an Ethernet cable and download the right driver for your http://www.asus.com/support wireless card
Have you tried to "Roll back driver" in the "Driver" tab of your adapter wifi 'properties' in Device Manager?  At the very least, determine which version of the driver is installed, and compare that to the current version on the asus support site.

  • Satellite P300 and Win7 - cannot see wireless networks

    Hello

I have Toshiba Satellite with Win7x64 and I bought on eBay an AR5008.

If I boot Linux I can connect to wireless networks.
However if I boot in win7 that I can't even see wireless networks. If I run diagnostics I get the radio is turned off.
Even with ConfigFree I get the same message, even if the switch on the front of the laptop is on.

What can I do? I tried all the drivers!

    Hello

Normally, you can enable or disable the WLAN connectivity by using the equipment and the FN + F8 key combination switch.
    Did you check that?

I guess for the FN + F8 key combination you need value-added package. You can download it on the Toshiba site.

Last but not least, works WLAN with preinstalled OS from Toshiba?

  • Create wireless network with airport Time Capsule

I replace my ISP provider rented the modem / router with a modem, I bought and I would use my gen current airport Time Capsule to set up the wifi network. I can't find the instructions on how to proceed and AirPort Extreme do not seem to apply.

I am running OS X Capitan 10.11.3 on an early 2015 MacBook Pro.

    Thank you!

    Dale

I can't find the instructions on how to proceed and AirPort Extreme do not seem to apply.

Hmm.  A time Capsule is an AirPort Extreme with a built-in hard drive, so what works for one should work for the other and vice versa. You might be looking at old operating instructions?

Since you've decided to add a new modem, Time Capsule will be reset back to the default settings and then set it up again to work with the new modem.  Apple installation "wizard" will guide you in installing the time Capsule, by appointing a wireless network, set up a password, etc, so the process is very easy to name.

The installation provided with your Time Capsule Guide goes on how to set up the time Capsule.

After resetting the time Capsule to factory default settings, you would connect an Ethernet cable from the modem into the "O" on the Time Capsule WAN port.

To get the "Assistant" Setup running, just click the WiFi icon at the top of the screen of the Mac and are looking for the new AirPort base station. Just below that, click directly on the Time Capsule.  The example below shows an AirPort Extreme, but you would see on your screen time Capsule.

When you click on the Time Capsule, the next screen that is displayed looks like this, except that you will see a picture of a Capsule of time on your screen.

Simply click next to get the process going and follow the instructions.
