Cannot delete a save point after an upgrade to 11.2

We have an application (written in APEX) which was working properly under Oracle 10.2, which has developed an error after upgrade to Oracle 11.2 when he tries to delete a record in the DIRECT workspace.

In the 11.2 database, DBA_REGISTRY indicates the version of the workspace as 11.2.0.2.0 Manager
I believe that in the 10.2 database, DBA_REGISTRY pointed out the version of the workspace as 10.2.0.4.3 Manager but I'm not 100% confident in this regard - we didn't record this information before the upgrade, so I work out note, according to what I believe was the last time that we have improved the Workspace Manager in this database.

A user in our system has a package that contains the procedure
  procedure move_savepoint( p_savepoint_name VARCHAR2 )
  AS
  BEGIN
    dbms_wm.deleteSavepoint( 'LIVE', p_savepoint_name );
    dbms_wm.createSavepoint(
        'LIVE',
        p_savepoint_name,
        '<<savepoint description>>' );
  END move_savepoint;
The user has got the WM_ADMIN_ROLE role.

The APEX application connects to the database that the user APEX_PUBLIC_USER. The APEX_PUBLIC_USER user has been granted EXECUTE access on user A package and got the role WM_ADMIN_ROLE. Savepoints existing are all in the DIRECT workspace and are all owned by APEX_PUBLIC_USER

Following upgrade 11.2, the call to the MOVE_SAVEPOINT procedure fails with error ORA-20022 when we are connected as A user
BEGIN
  a.package_name.move_savepoint( '<<savepoint name>>' );
END;

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-20022: insufficient privileges to delete savepoint
ORA-06512: at "WMSYS.LT", line 6913
ORA-06512: at "DW_APEX.PKG_TOTS", line 320
ORA-06512: at line 2
We tried to give the user a all WM system privileges
BEGIN
  dbms_wm.GrantSystemPriv(
        'ACCESS_ANY_WORKSPACE, CREATE_ANY_WORKSPACE, REMOVE_ANY_WORKSPACE, ' ||
            ' MERGE_ANY_WORKSPACE, ROLLBACK_ANY_WORKSPACE, FREEZE_ANY_WORKSPACE',
        '<<User A>>' );
END;
but this does not change the error message.

If we modify the package to be AUTHID CURRENT_USER and log on as A, we run the MOVE_SAVEPOINT procedure successfully. But we cannot run from the application when we are connected as APEX_PUBLIC_USER.

I can't think about all the privileges that we are missing at this point. And the fact that it worked before the upgrade to 11.2 in place leads me to suspect that something may have changed in the Workspace Manager or that there are problems with our upgrade. Is there something we are dominant?

A little better code formatting

Hi Justin,

There is no way taken in charge to change the owner of a workspace or a checkpoint, only to rename. The owner is fixed after its creation. However, if savepoints are always created using this procedure, then you should be able to see that they are migrated based on the current owner (APEX_PUBLIC_USER vs A).

If it is not possible to change outside of the procedure, it would be simpler to update internally to the owner. Just drop a SR.

Kind regards
Ben

    Hi @Ron9871,

    Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

    I see that you are unable to get your printer HP Photosmart C6280 wireless printing. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

    I would like to try the steps in this guide, "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 10).

    If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

    • Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note: the IPV4 IP.
    • Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
    • Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
    • Select Manual IP.
    • Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
    • Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
    • Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
    • Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
    • Click on apply.

    Please restart the router, the printer and the computer in this sequence.

    If you're still having problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

    What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

    You can try to change your WSD printer port by a Standard TCP/IP port.

    To do this, you will need your current IP address printers.  The Network Setup page shows the parameters of network for the product. To print this page; Press the button of network () on the control panel of the product.

  • Cannot create a PDF file after the upgrades: Adobe 9.2 and Mac OS 10.6.2

    After the upgrade to Adobe Professional 9.2 and Mac 10.6.2 I lost the ability to create PDF files.

    The printer Adobe (display says that the printer is v. 9.0) indicates the status of the job as "Mistake" and has the following message; "You must install the software to use this printer. To install the software, choose software update from the Apple menu. If the software for your printer is not available in software update, contact the manufacturer of your printer. »

    I get errors when I try to create a PDF from a Web page.

    I get the following error when I try to create a pdf from a word file: "Acrobat cannot open 'AAA.docx' because it is not a type of supported file or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an attachment to e-mail and has not been correctly decoded).

    To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then print the document in Adobe PDF format".

    (I can create a PDF from jpg files... but I never really have a need to do this...)

    I uninstalled Adobe Professional by using the uninstall program (then emptied the trash and restart), then reinstalled Adobe Professional from disk (and restarted).  After the reinstallation, I always get the same problems, even if I get no error message until Adobe Professional updates from 9.0 to 9.2.  Before the upgrade Adobe, v9.0 attempts to print to pdf just act as the pdf is created (no error message), but I do not get a backup fast, nor is a new pdf no matter where the document is located.

    Help, please!

    With OSX.6.x, the possibility of using the Adobe PDF printer has been lost. See the ad at the top of this forum (known issues with Snow Leopard).

  • Pavilion 15-ab043sa: cannot reset to factory settings after the upgrade computer laptop brand new 10 Windows

    I bought 2 new laptops, they seem to be special models not listed is not in the HP support site, purchased from Currys PC World in the United Kingdom.

    First HP Pavilion 15-ab045sa laptop computer 15.6 "-red, upgraded to windows 10 perfectly well and I made a backup of the system while I studied the creation of recovery media (this info must be printed with the laptop in the box, rather than letting the user have to find BTW)."

    The other a HP Pavilion 15-ab043sa laptop computer 15.6 "-blue, for my parents, has turned into a total disaster."

    The two models are the same, except that the first is red and the other is blue, that's why they have different product numbers?

    I was now in a position where the recovery on the D: drive partition is not a factory reset.

    I did not even recovery disks as having the first one to go smoothly, I thought the same thing would happen on the second laptop and I got the recovery disc then.   I tried to create a USB stick recovery, but I had no one who can save the system settings - need at least 32 GB free.

    This occurred as first I started the laptop, made of windows, MS Office 365 updates, added then waiting 2 days for windows 10 to arrive.  When it came it installed fine and then I added a printer driver for an HP printer and made some configurations of the operating system.  At the next reboot showed something was wrong as the boot took over 7 minutes.  As the synaptics app was referenced twice in the tab start Task Manager also had strange things in the system.  Rather than go back to a previous system restore point that I attempted to identify what was wrong and uninstalled all without success.  I then had the opportunity to go back to 8.1 for Windows or "reset the PC.  Not a lot of explanation on delivery to zero and certainly no warning options that the D: partition was no longer valid.  Windows options were "in my face" so I don't think watching HP recovery.  So I chose to run from Control Panel 'Reset the PC and keep the files'.  So, indeed, I now have a clean install of Windows 10 but have lost all applications that were on the factory orginal building.  I see no way to re - install all of these programs and find the license keys.  I have more HP recovery at all.

    So I have no way to put the blue doesn't return to the factory settings.

    Advice please, I want a laptop blue, the same as the red, i.e. Windows 10 with all applications that have come to the factory as well as the correct printer drivers and a time of less than 30 seconds of starting.

    You are not sure if there is anything I can copy from red to blue to get it going again?

    Any help gratefully appreciated, thank you

  • Cannot install anything but XP after memory upgrade

    My friend had a hp630 running Windows 7 Home Basic, 32-bit. He went to a flea market of computers where they replaced the system memory with two new modules of 4 GB. The system running my end but apparently could not use more than 3 GB of memory by showing that 8 GB has been installed, he wanted a 64-bit system. Given that the system had been there for a few years and accumulated a lot of garbage, we have decided to do a clean install. So we deleted and recreated partition D: with Minitool Partition Wizard and tried to boot from an installation DVD. And here's the problem: no matter how much we have tried different versions of Windows, the only one that worked was XP with AHCI drivers embedded in the disc according to instructions on this forum ( http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Systems-and-Software/SATA-drivers-for-XP-solution-on... ). both XP sp2 and sp3 XP worked fine. However, Win 7 32 bit, Win 7 64 bit, Win 8 32-bit, win 8 64 bit everything has failed in a similar way: they would go by loading files (Win 7 shows a progress bar while Win 8 showed a logo) and then to reboot (Win 7 without warning, win 8 after a brief demonstration of an error with a sad smiley).

    So the question is, how I approach this problem? Upgrade memory to do the system incompatible with Win 7/8? Unfortunately, the original memory module has disappeared, so I can't go back to the original hardware configuration. Should I try XP 64 bit? I heard that this is not the best system to 64-bit, due to compatibility problems (some have been resolved in later versions). I may try it anyway out of curiosity, but in the meantime would appreciate advice.

    swuser68 wrote:

    Thanks for the quick response!  The machine has Core i3 - 370 M, which certainly is 64-bit capable. Windows ISOs, both legal illegal, don't miss, and device startup doesn't seem to be a problem, either: the computer accepts the DVD I did very well and copied the files from there, but then something went wrong.

    I did the format of the disk as the partition will, but I have not done anything with other partitions. Is - this possibe that Win 7/8 did not like fantasy HP partitioning? There are about 10 GB or partition so hidden, then 2 GB C: drive containing HP tools, then D: to E: and system for data. E: we did oursevles during initial installation for a long time it has so changed their size using MiniTool Partition Wizard. Windows XP has no problem with this disk layout, but perhaps the 7/8 behaves differently?

    Another thing I noted is that F11 at startup has no effect. Is it normal for a model that was sold without any Windows? Or is it possible that it reflects somehow the problem I have with installing Windows?  The absence of function F11 is because you have made changes to the recovery D: partition. Any changes made to the partition will delete the F11 recovery capacity.

    You will find that you have more success if you delete all partitions, then proceed with the installation.

    Let the Windows 8 or 7 Installer create and format partitions of its own during the installation procedure. Normally the C: partition is the system partition,

    I propose the first because you do a clean install instead of use the recovery disks created by the HP recovery media creator utility. Using the recovery media, scripts to create all the required partitions independently and install most drivers as well.

    However, most annoying problem is that in trying to open the files in the Explorer or the bridge, I get a note this file extension is not recognized and/or related

    To solve the problem in Windows Explorer, you must change the file association in Windows for the extension .indd. Not being is not a Windows user, I leave it to others to explain

    However, the Bridge has its associations of files in Bridge preferences > file type Associations.

  • Cannot use/register LR 6 after the upgrade to Windows 10

    Good evening

    Using Lightroom 6 DESKTOP application (no CC or clouds) on Windows 10.

    I upgraded my Windows 7 to Windows 10.

    I did not have to 'turn off' my computer before proceeding with the installation,

    Now, I try to reinstall Lightroom 6 and I get the message:

    "The xxxxxxx serial number is already in use by the maximum allowed value of computer.

    You must disable another computer or provide a different serial number... "

    I can not find on the Adobe web site where I can disable or reactivate my LR6 serial number to use on Windows 10.

    6 of Lightroom is already installed and enabled on my Mac Book Air (and works); As far as I KNOW, I can use the same serial number on my Mac laptop and my Windows desktop computer.

    Where should I go to the adobe web site to see which computer are enabled so that I can clean that?
