  • Cannot open Firefox and Chrome

I had installed the Savevid video plugin in Google Chrome... after which, chrome has not opened at all...! Then, I uninstalled chrome and tried to reinstall, it process "Chrome.exe" (setup) would just appear and disappear in the Manager of tasks... "." In addition, then I installed Firefox, and tried to open it, but the same way, "firefox.exe" appears and disappears from the Task Manager (in the process tab)... Please help me... I am not able to access these browsers at all!

    Hi Pullak_Barik,

I see this is your first question, welcome to the community.

What I would recommend is to restore your system to before that the problem occurred by returning to right until you have installed the plugin SaveVid.  Windows converts this easy and safe. Here's how:

    1. Press + R to display the race.
    2. Type RSTRUI and then press OK.
    3. Choose the date and time you want to restore (it will also tell you the names of all the programs that have been installed at this time).
    4. Click next to restore your system at that time here.

The best part about this, is that it is completely safe. If you don't like the food, you can cancel it.  Or you can try again with a different date.  It will not affect one of your personal files/images, it restores only the system return settings to their operational status.  If that's really the way the faster, safer and easier to get "back in the market".

Let me know how it goes.

  • If Firefox is set as the default browser and any application tries to open a new window, it doesn't work and I get the error "Firefox is already in running... »

    Here's what I'm running:
Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1, fully updated to 04/10/2012
New installation of Firefox 11. No add-on enabled following troubleshooting.
I am a user has administrator rights
    SAMU is disabled.

For starters, this has happened since Firefox 10 or more. A couple of months now.

I am able to open Firefox. My modules worked (ABP, Flashblock, ABP Element Hiding Helper, IETAB2, Downthemall, Greasemonkey, extension of 4chan) had no problem. Firefox is defined and has been fixed for the past two years as my default browser.

But since about 10 or so, maybe Firefox before, if I opened a session of Firefox and any other application attempts to open a session in a new window, I get the Firefox is already running but not responding do not error. »

I tried to follow the advice of already posted troubleshooting (glance to parent.lock files left [no date], several sessionstore.js [no date] files, create a new user profile, has tried to erase the 'read only' permission in windows 7, but as soon as it is cleared, only read permission back.)

As a last resort, I deleted the Firefox folder, the directory %APPDATA%/Mozilla in its entirety and then used CCleaner to remove all references to Firefox in the windows registry, and then made a complete re - install, without extensions installed right now.

I checked the preferences and have the option "open new windows in a new tab" checked. The problem persists without worrying if this option is checked or not. This problem persists in or out of safe mode, even with the new facility.

    Test case:

    All cases:
Firefox is selected as the default browser for windows 7

Case 1: Log in to firefox. Use any other program that is trying to open a link to their Web site in a new window browser or the new browser session. "Firefox is already running" error

Case 2: Open a firefox session. Right click on Firefox in the taskbar. Select 'open in new window '. "Firefox is already running" error

Case 3: Open a session of firefox. Select the Firefox Menu > new tab > new window. In fact, a new window opens.

This is the only method of opening a new window in the same browser session or profile that actually works on my system. Attempting to open a browser session from the task bar "open new window dialog" or opening a new window while a current window/session is running will not open firefox in a new window or a new tab in the current session. The "Firefox is already running, but is not responding" error will occur every time.

Make sure that you do not start Firefox with the - No.-remote switch or have defined the MOZ_NO_REMOTE = 1 environment variable (Control Panel > system > advanced > environment variables).

  • Tabs, windows and lost after updating to Firefox and page seems gross

I don't think that you have respect for those who use Firefox. Do you understand how many of us work for the House and need this platform to work for our COMPANY? I think you play games with users, at our expense.

So furious that I must try to solve your problems when I have to work. Last night you gave me a message to try to refresh. You said that everything would be saved.

I TRUSTED YOU. Available on the page at the top has been terrible, and I don't know where my addons went. Still, it seems impractical. but at least my tabs were all there.

Today, you have LOST ALL MY TABS except the ones pinned. All the windows gone, too. I copied the sqlt places of my old Firefox Desktop data to the new folder AppData profile several times. Never worked. FF just kept coming back to show me the pinned tabs.

Really, you evaluate these things first? I want to completely delete this useless refresh and come back when things worked.
    WPA

Please, take a deep breath. Now:

There is no way one click to cancel a refresh, but here is a procedure to return to your prior to refresh the data. It takes 5 minutes, but it's perhaps faster than the recovery of individual files and load those into your new profile.

Check in the folder 'Old data Firefox' update adds a folder with a random semi name on your desktop. If there is only one, that probably has your old settings and Add-ons. If there is more than one, you'll want to work with one who has been updated recently.

Once you have identified the profile folder, that you want to restore, here is my "old profile resurrection suggested procedure:

    Overview

Here are the steps described in more detail below:

    1. Create a new Firefox profile
    2. Delete all of this profile folder
    3. Copy in all of the old profile folder

Create a new profile for Firefox (Windows)

Exit Firefox completely and start up in the Profile Manager by pasting the following text in the search box of the start menu, or the start > Run dialog box and pressing ENTER:

    firefox.exe -P

Note: any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

Click on the button create a profile, give it a name like OldSettings and skip the option to change the location of the folder. Select the new profile from the dialog box, and then start Firefox.

Open the new profile folder in Windows Explorer

Firefox in the new profile should look like a new installation of the plant. Open the troubleshooting information page by using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • Menu help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table, click on the view file"" button. Firefox will launch your new profile folder in Windows Explorer.

This folder open, switch back to Firefox and get out by using either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Firefox is closed, the profile folder must be front and Center, or you can activate it by using the taskbar.

Copy old data instead of new

In this new profile folder you just popped open - NOT the one on your desktop - select all content (you can use Ctrl + a) and delete (you can press Delete on the keyboard).

Leave this window open, open or switch to your folder of old data of Firefox. Consult your old profile folder. At this level, you should see a folder named bookmarkbackups among other things.

Select all (Ctrl + a) and copy (or right-click > copy or Ctrl + c).

Switch to the empty profile folder in another window and paste (or right-click > paste or Ctrl + v). This may take a few minutes because some files are large.

    Launch Firefox

Firefox should start in this 'new' profile with the old resurrected profile data. Success?

  • Firefox and Thunderbird are suddenly not accept keyboard input

The problem occurred suddenly while I was browsing.

I have the same problem on all programs based on the Gecko engine, and I confirmed their so far in Firefox, waterfox, instantbird, thunderbird and fossamail. However chrome / windows / basically everythign n

To remedy this, I have tried the following:
    Restart firefox
    Restart of firefox in savemode
    Reset
Change the type of keyboard in windows
    Using another keyboard
    Once again reboot
Press F7 to check for insert mode that has been disabled

  • Why is it so slow to connect, Firefox and will not allow downloads?

lately something's happening with Fire fox or internet or something...

When I click on something, Fire Fox just sits there saying "connecting..." Several times I have to click on something repeatedly or exit firefox and restart.

I tired to uninstall firefox, restarted my computer windows 7, reinstalled firefox and still get the same problem.

In ADDITION, downloads. Download problems now. Seems that downloads never START.

I used some addons like download helper, and such, and they are now totally unhinged. Download helper does not work unless I go to tools, addons, and then close the tab... then when I select the file to download, it put it in Quebec.

I use Adblock Plus and Avast AV and Admuncher. I have disabled them all and STILL have problems with the download and connection...

  • Used to have under the file dropdown functionality to close the tab of Firefox and my latest version is not.

When I'm on a web site and want to return to the previous page, the arrow is grayed out and is the only way that I can go back to exit Firefox and then return by opening it again.
Am I missing the way to return to the previous page?

Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you are using the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).

You can see the difference if you use Alt + F to open the file menu and other menus such as the Edit (Alt + E) menu and the menu bookmark (Alt + B) and compare that to what you see, if you use the mouse to open the menu after the bar of menus visible by typing Alt or by pressing F10.

  • An Execute method after a fragment components are instantiated

    Hello

I would like to know how to run a fair method after a fragment of the page is loaded and its components are instantiated.

My use case is: I want to run a 'disableAllInputComponents' method that iterates all the elements entry and modify their attributes 'disabled' to 'true '.

I tried to replace the 'refreshRegion' method in the ComponentClass, but it does not work. The components are not yet instantiated. It's the same problem when I run the service in the Get accessor of the layout parent (a form of panel presentation).

Can I use a variable "readonly" in a pageflow scope and check its value in each of the components of each fragment with an EL Expression, but I would like to know if it is possible to have a generic function that I can apply to all forms.
