Cannot extend to 0 KB pagefile to 16777216kb

I keep the following error below when you try to create a Linux Debian VM.  Can I create a Windows VM on the same data store, and I have no problem.  I have over 500 GB of free space on the LUN.  I tried different LUN with the same result.

The environment is the current version of construction ESXi5.5.

An error was received from the ESX host turning on VM VM < name >.

Unable to start the virtual machine.

Has no power on the virtual machine.

Could not power on VM: msg.vmk.status.VMK_ABORTED.

The current swap file size is 0 KB.

Cannot extend from 0 KB to 16777216 KB pagefile.

Thank you

The data store where the VM have enough space? If not, you must change the swap file in a store of different data, here's how: Configure a Machine virtual Swapfile location for a Cluster in the vSphere Client Web

A workaround is on the memory reserve the same RAM size, this way that VMware will not create a pagefile for the virtual machine.

  • Cannot extend vmdk (drive C, win2k3) through VC

    Hi team,

    I have ESX 3.5, I tried the option of the VC to expand the hard disk (drive c), and clicked on ok, it is said the reconfig finished, but when I change the settings of the machine virtual and verified that it did not the new size, it shows just the old size. I am aware about the other option via the command, but want to know why the VC does not change the size of the disk.

    Thank you

    Are there snapshots of this VM? You cannot extend vmdk if stereotypes are present.

  • Cannot extend the warranty

    Bought this laptop 5 months ago and his 2-year warranty and registered the day I received it. Later, I TRIED to save his EXTENDED warranty to 4 years (that I bought as a whole) and it shows that my contract of Service (or code) number is already registered as STANDARD, IE 2 years. I contacted the helpline in Greece for several times and they do not seem to bother and cannot give a solution.

    Any suggestions?

  • Cannot extend or stretch the JFrame

    Hello

    I created a simple JFrame and tried to extend or stretch it.

    Its not not expanding when she arrives at my screen width.

    To make it extensible is that I need to set the property.

    Here's the code I used.

    JFrame f = new JFrame();
    f.setSize (500, 600);
    f.setVisible (true);

    Please help me on this, thanks in advance

    John

    You say that you cannot expand the window to be wider than your screen? This seems to be normal for Windows applications (I just tried it with my browser and I can't do the wider than your screen window) for the Java applications will not be an exception.

  • Satellite Pro S300 - cannot extend the desktop to an external monitor

    Hello
    I have a Satellite Pro S300 and it won't extend the desktop to an external monitor / projector, but it will clone the desktop?

    so far I have tried:
    2 instructors and 1 projector all do the same thing, will clone but not extend.
    Reinstall the latest drivers to display on the Toshiba site.
    Reinstall the latest drivers of change on the Toshiba site.

    But nothing worked, I even checked my S300 colleagues to make sure that I use the same parameters and their (of 2 other s300) extend and clone office.

    Has anyone seen this before and how solve you the problem?

    Paul

    Did you first remove the old driver before you install the new driver? If this is not the case, try to reinstall the driver again. Therefore, to remove the old driver, restart the computer, use CCleaner to clean the registry and install the new version you can find on the Toshiba site.

    More I would try updating the BIOS. You can find it on the Toshiba site too.

    I hope it works for you.

  • Cannot extend a partition

    I did a system dual boot on my PC, they have windows 7 and windows 10, then I deleted the partition include win10. so it became an unallocated partition. When I try to add this storage to my partition (D) {expanding partition (D)}, I can't. but I can create a partition in the storage and it becomes main by default and I can't change it. so, how can I use this storage to add it to my (D) score

    Note: I used (partition mini tool) and did not work

    As in C: HD has 2 partitions with the operating system on C:

    To add the D: partition as storage, opn cmd, type: diskmgt.msc in msc, R.click on the empty partition, select

    extend partition, once done, L.click on the partition, go to actions/all/select 'make active '. Read more

  • Cannot extend drive

    I have a virtual machine that began with a secondary logical drive of 20 GB for configuration data. Now, I need to raise it. I have unallocated space, but I can't extend the drive. It's worked before, unless I'm missing something. Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello Nathan,.

    Please provide an opportunity to help Microsoft Community.

    Before you start with the troubleshooting steps, I would ask you to answer the questions below:

    1. What exactly happens when you try to extend the drive?
    2. You have the operating system installed on the drive that you are trying to extend?
    3. You receive an error message/code while extending the drive?
    4. What software do you use to virtualize Windows?
    5. To extend the walk is greyed out?

    Ideally, when you have unallocated space, you can extend a drive by selecting the option to extend and unallocated space will automatically accumulate with the disc that you want to extend.

    Please answer the questions posed above, so we can guide you further.

  • To the left of C:, unallocated space cannot extend the C drive

    My install Win 7 had its bootloader on a separate partition. I moved it in C:, but now there are 200 MB of free space to the left of my C: partition. For this reason, I can't expand the C drive to occupy this space. I read on another post that using GParted works, but the person needed the Win 7 disk to repair the boot loader. I don't have a disc, so what do I do?

  • It will frequently commit resolve ora-30036 (cannot extend the undo tablespace)

    I use 11.2.0.3 database. I confused on the use of validation to resolve ora-30036.

    I have the script in migration once that has many updates and I'm getting ORA-30036 (unable to extend segment by 4 in the "UNDOTBS" undo tablespace) .

    Our undo tablespace in NO mode autoextend and like this is just a one time event, we will not increase it.   He is currently 6 GB.

    We would commit determination ORA-30036 in my case? If not why? Is there a better solution to solve it.

    When I say commit frequent, I won't commit after each line, I just want to commit after may be million lines, so that my active cancellation extend turn into cancellation remaining will extend and Oracle will be able to use it in case of pressure of space.

    Note:

    UNDO_MANAGEMENT: AUTO

    UNDO_RETENTION: 2700

    Undo tablespace retention is NOGAURANTEE.

    Our undo tablespace in NO mode autoextend and like this is just a one time event, we will not increase it.   He is currently 6 GB.

    Why don't you increase it?

    You must use the correct size of UNDO necessary for the work that will be done.

    A lot of shops to create a for big lots new UNDO tablespace and then switch to it for batch processing. Once the task is completed, they switch back to the normal UNDO. That prevents the normal RETURN of autoextending far where it is normally necessary:

    ALTER SYSTEM SET UNDO_TABLESPACE

  • Cannot extend imported bootcamp windows 10 disc

    I imported my instance of windows 10 bootcamp partition in VMWare Fusion 8.1 because I want to start running it practically, but when I created the partition boot camp of origin I did hilarious small (40 GB). I need to resize on the rise... but... the disc size already reports that this is the size of my Mac drive and it wont let me not reduce it from the interface of VMWare - it will only allow me to extend upward.

    Screenshot 2016-02-19 08.32.01.png

    Instructions say open the virtual machine itself and expand the partition... but this option is grayed out when I right click on the drive in windows 10, perhaps because it seems that it is to see the other drives on the hard drive to the mac (but this is an instance of boot camp imported , does not not out of boot camp).

    Screenshot 2016-02-19 08.36.25.png

    I found an article intended for XP users who suggest to delete the virtual machine mac partition but this idea frankly gives me the willies directionless some more recent.

    Any ideas what to try? I'm having a devil of a time finding useful documents...

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello

    It is not a stupid question.

    If you import the virtual machine that you mentioned your disc looks like always on when it is running under bootcamp.

    So your virtual disk is exactly the same as the before done physical disk structure. I don't know why VMware engineers went this way, but my best guess would be that it makes the import/clone of a virtual machine that is less prone to error.

    I don't have the exact steps to make sure that the disk you are using is indeed not a bootcamped score more. If you have removed the bootcamp on your machine and may still start the virtual machine then that would be a good indicator that it is indeed an imported VM. Other signs are the size that the virtual machine is on your machine. If running as a training camp for the size is tiny as the virtual machine should only have meta data pointing to the real disk.

    Before you do anything, make a backup of your virtual machine on an external drive, so that you have something to fall back on.

    FWIW, other people had the same problem, for example here, size of HARD drive on the Conversion of Bootcamp at VM , but if you're looking for there's more.

  • Cannot extend the table SYS. FIERROS_IMAGEN by 1024 in the SYSTEM tablespace

    Hi all I have installed oracle xe on a Windows Xp computer, asked me for a password and I typed: 123

    How do I fix this error? need to create the tablespace? How?

    and need to re-import? or only to import the table? How to change the imp command to specify the table?

    Thank you

    As KarK says you should not use SYSTEM tablespace for the user data.

    If you can make after:

    Create new tablespace:

    Go to sqlplus and run (change the name, path, and a size suitable for you. You must have enough disk space for this new tablespace data file.) :

    CREATE TABLESPACE PETIT_FICHIER DATAFILE «TEST_TS_01.dbf» ' TEST_TS'

    SIZE 1512M LOGGING EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO;

    Create a new user:

    Go to sqlplus and run (change the name and the password for you):

    CREATE PROFILE 'TEST_USER' USER 'DEFAULT' IDENTIFIED BY ' * ' DEFAULT TABLESPACE "TEST_TS".

    TABLESPACE QUOTA UNLIMITED ON 'TEST_TS' TEMPORARY 'TEMP' ACCOUNT UNLOCK;

    GRANT 'CONNECT' TO THE 'TEST_USER;

    import of user data (user who has data (in the source database) you want to import) for this new user:

    IMP system/password@tesdb fromuser = = TEST_USER leader touser = myback.dmp log = implog.log

    and if it doesn't always fit you can resize your bigger like that new tablespace (once again if you have enough disk space):

    alter database datafile 'TEST_TS_01.dbf' 2512 M resizing;

    If you need to make several attempts, then rub new user before retry (sqlplus) with

    drop the TEST_USER user cascade;.

    and then recreate it.
