  I thought about it.  Cable requires an internal USB port.  Fortunately, there was one available. In plugging him in there and everyhing works fine.

  You should be given the opportunity to upgrade your licensed software or buy the software when you open it.  You will want to choose this option that should give you the option to enter the serial number.

  It is a per pool setting so you should be able to change the pool and then go to the tab settings of vCenter.   Once there, you should see the option to the default image.
