Satellite P300 - 20 H cannot find a wireless connection

Hello

Can someone help me? My Satellite P300 - 20H can not find the wireless router.
He works very well before both at home and work, nothing has changed, but the laptop now cannot find a connection.

Everything works fine when I connect the ethernet cable, but as soon as I unplug NOTHING.
The router is in the same location as always, and no electric element in surplus is around.

I guess it must be something to do with the laptop because it is the same at home because it's a job, WITHOUT JOY.

Thank you

Richy.

Ohhm man.
There are many discussions on the problems of WiFi and I hope you read some comments here that provide some tips.
Did you?

Firstly it should check if the WiFi is enabled correctly.
Activate WLan switch (LED should be lit) and use the FN + F8 to activate the WLan.
In addition, the WLan configuration should be checked! (SSID, encryption type, password encryption, etc.)

Last but not least make sure your WLan driver is up-to-date.

  • Satellite P300-24 t cannot find drivers for OpenGL for Windows 8

    Hello

I bought around mid-2009 this laptop student a Gamedeveloper (P300-24 t), I needed a decent laptop with some graphics cards now because I have to be able to create games on it. Now I have recently installed Windows 8 because I need it for my studies.

But the problem is because I now upgraded from 7 to 8, I found not the OpenGL drivers decent more because with every driver I'm trying to install on my computer Toshiba laptop my OpenGL support keeps hanging on the default version 1.1 just now when I need OpenGL 2.1 + for my last post.

When I run our assignment it crash and tell me that I need better OpenGL drivers

So my question: is there a way to install the OpenGL drivers on my laptop.

  • C4780 cannot find the wireless router

I have a new iMac and old Toshiba that is running Windows XP and you use a Netgear wireless router.  When I got to the printer, it worked fine on the wireless network.  Bought a new router that I couldn't work with the Mac and the PC so I returned to my original router.  Now, the printer does not work as a wireless printer.  Summaries of diagnosis indicates that the printer cannot find the wireless router and fails under "Network Name (SSID) Found."  On the Network Setup page, my network is listed as a network discovered by the printer.  I guess there is a simple solution and hope to find the answers here.

    Thank you very much!

Some printers C4780 left the factory with a default misconfiguration.  This could be the reason why you can not see the hpsetup network.  Here is an updated set of instructions for manually adding the C4780 to a Mac:

Part 1 - Get the printer in Ad-Hoc Mode Wireless

    (1) turn on the printer.

    (2) display the printer has six keys; three on the left (top-left, middle left, below on the left) and three on the right (top-right, centre-right, bottom-right).  Press and release the following touch buttons in order:

    top left,

    bottom-left,

    top left,

    top left.

    (3) you should see the internal menu of printers.  Press the right button down to select 'Service Menu'.  Press OK (lower-left).

    4) press the lower button right until you see "Reset Menu".  Press OK (lower-left).

    5) press the lower button right until you see "half full".  Press OK (lower-left).

    (6) after a few seconds, the printer turns off.  Press the power button to turn on the printer.  It is now reset with the correct default network settings.

    (7) turn on the radio:

Press the Scan button to get the wireless settings

    Select wireless Menu

    Select wireless settings

Select Enable Wireless to turn on the radio.

Part 2 - run the Wireless Setup Wizard

The printer has now created an ad - hoc network called hpsetup.  To connect to this network on your Mac.

Check the connection to the printer by opening the printer's internal web page.  You can do this by opening Safari, select bookmarks then ShowAll bookmarks.  On the left pane of Safari, select Hello and on the right, you should see your printer listed.  Double-click your printer and Safari should display the printer's internal web page.

The printer Web page, select the network tab, and then select Wireless (802.11).  Now press Start the wizard to launch the wireless configuration wizard.

When the wizard is finished, your computer unplug the printer's ad - hoc network as the printer reconfigures itself to connect to your network home.

Reconnect your computer to your home network.  Verify that you can connect to the printer at the opening of its internal web page again once we were doing before.

Finally, install the printer SW.  Since you have Snow Leopard, you don't need the CD that came with the printer.  Instead, open the Print & Fax under System Preferences applet and press the [+] button.  Highlight your printer and click Add.

  • "Windows cannot configure this wireless connection".

I (birthday gift) a laptop Dell Inspiron 1011 with Windows XP Home Edition.  It has a "Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini Card".  It works wirelessly at home but when far and try using WiFi access points, if I am looking for available networks, it comes up with "Windows cannot configure this wireless connection".  (She also comes up with this message at home if I search for the network, but works OK on everything that I established House).  I searched online and found a "fix" of Microsoft, but when I tried to use a time warning that "this type of file can harm my computer" so I gave up.

Another area, I looked explained that the software other than Windows ensured control WiFi and it was not recommended to disable it.  (No doubt, it was the Dell software?)

I'm very PC not literate and would appreciate any help very simple!

    Hi sligo123

You can find this a bit confusing link.  I suggest that you enable the automatic configuration service (service Windows uses to control the wireless, rather than the Dell software).  Heres how:

    1. click on start, then run

    2. in the box, type C:/Windows\system32\services.msc/s

    3. click on OK

    4. in the window that appears, you should have a full range of services, scroll down until you find Windows Zero Configuration - double click on it

    5. in the box, make sure that the automatic option is selected in the drop-down list box.  Then click on the Start button.

Try and then try to connect to the wireless network (you may have to connect to your home network)

If this does not help, please post back here and we can try something else.

    Kind regards

  • Installed wireless Belkin, unable to see network, get error windows cannot configure this wireless connection and starting the WZC abuse

    Hello

I have a belkin wireless router that worked on my primary computer and a portable computer for years.

Recently, I moved my main computer and now it dosnt seem to work. Belkin is installed but when I ask to see available networks, it says that windows cannot configure this wireless connection and starting the WZC abuse. Belkin still works fine on my laptop so I know no there is not a problem here. Can someone help me please? I tried to type in %SystemRoot%\system32\services.mcs\s as with a question of people, but all I get is windows can't find this.

    Any ideas please?

    Thank you

    * original title - Help... problem with belkin wireless *.

Let's see if I can cut through it.

    You wrote:

Click the Wireless Networks (see this picture) - I did

Is the box 'Use Windows to configure my wireless network' checked or unchecked? There is no such box.

I connect using - he says belkin. another box saying this connection uses the following items. then underneath there are 3 tabs - install, uninstall and properties. If I press on properties it says name provider and in this box, it says windows index.

It seems that you don't have not clicked the "Wireless networks" tab, after you open the properties of your wireless adapter.  From your description, you look at the 'Général' tab: click HERE to see the "Général" tab Click HERE to see the 'Wireless Networks' tab.

There are 5 columns: name, description, status, startup type and log as.  The values for the last 3 columns should be started, automatic and Local System - on my screen there are 4 tabs at the top - general, connect you, recovery and dependency.

You skipped a step... 5 columns are in the 'Services' window initial... you arrive at "4 tabs at the top", AFTER you double-click the Wireless Auto Configuration.

Status of the service which includes 4 boxes. stop suspend and resume. the button highlighted in the start menu

Just to the right of the expression "Service status", you should see a Word.  On your system, this word probably is "stopped."  The 4 buttons (boxes) are how to control the service.  Because you said that the highlighted button is 'start' which means that the service is currently stopped, and you will need to click on this button "start" to start.

I strongly suspect that you had used the Belkin utility to control your adapter - and now, you also started WZC.  As I wrote above, you can have both running at the same time.

When you click the icon of your "Belkin", do you have a screen that looks like this: http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/img/2006/belkinn1/08.jpg

If so, you should return to the utility Services and 'Stop' the automatic configuration service.  If you want to use WZC instead of the Belkin utility, see http://en-us-support.belkin.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/40/related/1

I'm not familiar with the Belkin Wireless networking utility, but many wifi manufacturer utilities can be used to turn your wifi on and off, then maybe your was off (the adapter on your computer - not the router).  If you identify the model of the card you have in your main computer, I'll see if I can find the manual on the Belkin website and maybe give you a little more information.

  • My laptop lost wireless connection after hibernation I or stop it. Then I have to reset the automatic Wireless Configuration to find my wireless connection

I just bought a new NetGear wireless router and now my laptop lost wireless connection after hibernation I or stop it.  Then I have to reset the automatic Wireless Configuration to find my wireless connection.  Whenever I stopped him it and I have to choose.  This does not happen on another laptop or desktop that I have.  Is there a safe solution for this?

    Hi Ron,

1 Windows operating system you are using?

    2. you receive messages or error codes?

You can read the following article and check.

Windows wireless and wired network connection problems

If you use Windows XP, then read the following article:

How to troubleshoot wireless network connections in Windows XP Service Pack 2

This problem can also occur when the power management profile turns off your network card.

You can try the following steps and check if it helps.

    a. click Start, type device manager in start search and press ENTER.

    (b) in Device Manager, expand network adapter.

    c. now you will see your network adapter or adapters if you have more than one. Right-click on the network component, and then click Properties.

    d. go to the power management tab.

    e. ensure that all check boxes are unchecked (check boxallow the computer to turn off this device to save power is off).

    f. If you have disabled the boxes, click ok and restart your system. Put the computer in Hibernate mode and check if you still have any questions.

  • Receive error message: ": windows cannot configure this wireless connection if you have enabled another program to configure this wireless connection, use that software."

    Internet connection xp

I am running windows xp sp3 on my laptop. After a restart of the internet connection (wireless failed). try to connect to the wireless network has this error
": windows cannot configure this wireless connection if you have enabled another program to configure this wireless connection, use that software."
It's a toshiba n205.  When I right click on the wireless network printer it says that it is the firewall disabled. so I'm going to allow it and it still does not work. I don't understand because it seems that the firewall was working aok before restarting. I change all of the settings.

I solved this problem by changing the setting to allow windows to establish the network connection, I guess it is made by toshiba software. If anyone knows WHY this would be the case, why all of a sudden we would lose the connection, would be useful.

    original title: 1394 connection?

    Hi ToddHenderson,

You did changes to the computer before the show?

    Method 1
I suggest you try the following steps:

The error message can mean that your hardware manufacturer has provided you with its own software to wireless as an alternative configuration to Windows Wireless Auto-Configuration service.

I suggest you follow the steps below.

Use Windows to configure wireless settings

    a. go to the start menu, then select run
    b. type ncpa.cpl, and then click OK to open the menu of the network connections
    c. Select your Wi - Fi connection service and choose the option change settings of this connection.
    d. go to the wireless networks tab and check use Windows to configure my wireless network

    Launch Windows Zero Configuration

    e. return to the start menu and select run
    f. type % SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc/s, and then click OK
    g. double-click the Wireless Auto Configuration option
h., go to the startup type list, and then click Automatic. Click on apply to confirm the changes
    i. Accordingly, click Start in the Service status section click OK to apply the changes.

    Method 2
Try the steps from the following link:

Now the netbook won't start windows.

    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I'm going crazy,
Could someone tell me please how to fix this? Thanks x

    Hello

I think the value of the option SATA AHCI and hence Windows XP mode cannot find the HARD drive.
It's because of the SATA controller.
You can set the SATA AHCI compatible mode mode mode and this will allow you to install Win XP on the laptop without the use of SATA drivers.

So, you have two options if you want to install Win XP:

-> AHCI mode, but you must include the SATA drivers
Compatible mode-> Win XP installation possible without SATA drivers

    Hello

I think you have an Atheros WLan card.

Well, especially the latest Wlan driver should solve the problems
This is why I recommend updated WLan driver to the latest version.

Here you can find the drivers:
