• Cannot generate the thumbnail on all widgets (including integrated)

  My installation of Muse (2014.2, OSX Mavericks) gives me a "cannot generate the thumbnail" error one no matter what widget I place (including built-in ones, my own and those that I downloaded from the site of Muse documentation on github).

  So far, I have tried many things including restart Muse, reboot the machine, turn off all browsers in the background, but I can not change this behavior.

  This problem is specific to the machine, I'm getting because the same site on the exact version on another machine (os x mavericks) does not give me this behavior.

  Solved. While this problem appeared machine related, it wasn't - it turns out that I had added a js file in my page header that was missing.

  So, the moral of this story is that if you do not see the "unable to generate thumbnail error", look at all the custom HTML you added to the site. Errors in the HTML elements may appear in the wrong place.

  I am new to the Muse and the Adobe CC community.  Start to design a Web site using a startup form (exhibition).  Been very happy with progress so far, but the problems to embed a YouTube video.  Object, Widget, YouTube.  Plugged the YouTube video id number.  Receive an impossible to generate a thumbnail error on the window.  Also, preview, video editing is there but no picture or controls (show the option controls that I've checked btw).

  Even if there is error with the thumbnail generation in the design, once I published my youtube link and thumbnail pages worked perfectly.  I feel that my firewall blocking the application when designing.

  Could someone give me advice on what to do to fix? What have I done? I tried to install Adobe digs Eds 4 and it seems stop working after that, but I tried to uninstall that and it is always the same. I also tried to reinstall TCS5. Reactive out of HTML5 still works ok.

  It could be a longshot, but try to move the project to a place where the path is shorter. I had a similar problem (I think I got the same error a few months ago, but I can't be 100% certain), where the epub was not able to generate, and I tried to move my project to another location where the path to the files was shorter. This solves the problem for me.

• Cannot generate the Word .doc

  100 classic page chm project compiles successfully. You will need to create the document Word for graphic designer do a nice .pdf. Get warnings (style not defined, mapped to normal). Can not find the style not defined in the code, but see some class = msonormal elements. Then, I get error "Word Document became corrupted when you attempt to add a topic malformed". Then, RoboHelp is unable to deal with a subject. Then it has Fatal Error "Word Document got corrupted" and she is abandoned. A little more of these erros and he cannot generate the rest of the Word document.

• Cannot generate the main Layout, invalid media error

  I am currently using Robohelp x 5. I get the error, "invalid media. Cannot create the Y:\JUSTIN\AwareHelpStage file", when I try to generate the main layout for my project. Does anyone have an overview of what could be the problem?

  Also, when I go to, file-> generate primary layout and change the output folder. I get a different error, 'Please select a new subfolder of the project or folder out of the path of the project'.

  I do not have a "Y:\. "on my computer or, at least, when I try to make my computer can't find it.

  I have 95% connections and only a few .png in my project. Could be the error media that this is a reference?

  I changed the name of my .xpj, about 70% of the way the project, that it was by. I'm not sure, if I tried to generate a main page layout because I changed the name. Could there be some kind of confusion in the system when it is trying to produce the layout because of this? The reason why I ask, because it asks the name of my project, the name in the text box 'Project name', when I go to file-> generate a main page layout.

  There seems to me to refer to a network location.

  I might suggest you right click on your unique Layouts of Source folder and create a totally fresh provision. Leave the path to the output folder because it is in the new provision. See if that solves nothing.

• Cannot generate the schema help

  Hi all
  I am facing a problem, try to generate a WebHelp primary schema, when I click on the "Main Layout View" buttons or "generate primary Layout." nothing happens. I use RoboHelp 7 with MS Office Word 2007.
  I'm working on 2 projects, and what happens in one project only, so I think it's perhaps something in the file format!
  I also noticed that when I click button 'save' and then try to close the word document, an apears confirmation message that I have to save first, when I click on save and try to close the file word; the confirmation message appears once again, the only action that allows me to close the file is click 'No' to the backup dialog box.

  There is a thread where a few Adobe RoboHelp for Word 7 users have reported that they cannot save the changes or generate output. The issue has been isolated to the RHComAdd.DLL be disabled.

  What to look for in Word

  -For versions 2003, go to help | Everything | Disabled items. If RHComAdd.DLL display, re - enable.

  -For Word 2007, click on Office button | Resources | Everything | Macros complementary. Under 'Manage', select disabled items. If RHComAdd.DLL display, re - enable.

• Cannot delete the thumbnails in the Organizer - error message: error deleting MediaI

  I 23 000 pictures in my Photoshop elements catalog. I have a group of them tried to remove because I want to get rid of the tags in the file and apply new - this is another question that PES does not allow you to remove the tags in the file itself, so to start I have delete the catalog entry, use Explorer to remove the tags, and then import the cleaned file.

  So I tried to remove the thumbnails/catalog entries but not the underlying file and I get the error suppression of media. Then I copied the files over to a new directory, deleted the tags, and reimported them in PSE. Now, I still want to delete the files in the original directory. This time I check the option of also remove items from the hard drive. Guess what - the same message: Error removing media. I then used the Explorer to delete files and then tried to remove the entries from the catalog - same message: Error removing media.

  I'm stuck now. The thumbnails are still there, but not related to what it is and I can't get rid of them. By the way I have been around the loop on this several times, have optimized and repaired the catalog even if I got the message that the catalog didn't need repair.

  I managed to solve my problem. I had to download "SQLite DB browser", open the database 'catalog.pse12db' PES file, located the corresponding files in the "Media_Table" and deleted.  I was expecting some problems and thought I should remove other entries in other tables or fix the basis data, but when I started the PSE all organizer was settled. No file no problem that will not delete.

  It is a pity that Adobe does not provide a significant level of support and that such problems must be solved by the community members. Considering the amount of money they make from the sale of their products, they could at least have expert software available to address some of the issues more complex are displayed and offer advice and support.

  Construction of a DVD for the first time in a long time, have only still used a handful of times in the past so I'm not as familiar with it as I would like to be; I'm a long-time user of DVD Studio Pro...

  I can't get thumbnails appear in my buttons, and I feel I have tried everything. I use a menu in Photoshop, I did and every button is configured properly in files according to the tutorials I've seen; each button corresponds to a climax (which works) and the thumbnail layer is labeled as "thumbnail of video (%). ». I load the menu and drop my deadlines on the button, they connect properly and the climax works as expected. The sticker changes color to black - but no picture, mobile or not. I put a new image poster on the timeline track, still nothing but black. I tried to drop a jpeg on the button, but it ends up just fill the screen (maybe I do that wrong, but thought I would try it).

  Even stranger, when I use one of the templates again and try this miniature video button it does not work either. So I don't think it's my custom menu that is the question - NO menu I try don't suspend the thumbnails.

  I know end-of-life, but I don't know if it works fine on my system. Is it possible that it works more correctly? I'm on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and running CC15 apps otherwise.

  It works for me. I'm on PC, but I don't think it's a problem here.

  I get what you're describing, if the first frame of the timeline is black.

  If you bind a calendar by dragging the button, the link will be to its chapter 1 even if there are other chapters. Chapter 1 is zero time code - a chapter that first/still sets if you added or not. If you fade to black, you will see a black image in the thumbnail. Make sure you select this chapter 1 when you set the poster frame.

• FB 4.6.0 & 3.3 AIR, cannot generate the IPAs more... * sigh *.

  I'm just stuck in a never-ending progress bar without worrying if I export for debug (fast or standard packaging) or to do a release build. Debugging gets 57% instantly as always, so do nothing. It doesn't crash, it just does not move. Release version does not even 1%.

  Anyone else get this behavior on Flash Builder and AIR 3.3/FP 11.3?

  At first I thought I was doing something wrong in the overlay, I added to the FP11.3 (of 4.6\player\win\11.3\FlashPlayerDebugger.exe Adobe Flash Builder) and also edited air - config.xml and airmobile-config. XML (in Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\sdks\4.6.0\frameworks) to point to 11.3 instead of 11.2 as well as version 16. I added the playerglobal.swc for 11.3 as well (in Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\sdks\4.6.0\frameworks\libs\player\11.3).

  Then I just took an old release 3.2 AIR and FB superimposed on 3.2. I got errors about demanding SWF version 16 and AIR 3.2 namespace does not support. So I changed it to point 11.2. Having AIR 3.2 and FP 11.2 handed in place, I can export fine.

  I hope someone else is seeing this.

  FB is using the new adt but it cannot handle the number of errors, it's having splashed with (I get my console BACK as 900. Here is more information about this:

  So yes, bypassing the generation of FB in the construction of etiquette and switch to the command line was the only way I was able to compile with AIR3.3 and FB with a DONKEY.

  I also tried what someone mentioned in the comment and opens the DONKEY to try to recompile it with the flag to ignore warnings (-w), but could not hang the SWC properly (ie.jampot did not a SWC, just source). Since I is not the source and can just do DONKEY easily I have just compiled using adt and it works.

  As the blog mentioned there is a known issue, especially on Windows and will be fixed in future versions of Flash Builder and Flash Pro (whatever that means... better not be a FB5.0 and CS7...)

  I'm upgrading from RoboHelp 5 to RoboHelp 7 because the old version is not compatible with MS-Word 2007. However, I'm unable to generate documentation with RoboHelp 7. He keeps giving an unclear error message:

  After some research, I'm finally able to generate printed documentation. Not sure what I've done has really solved the problem. In any case, that's what I did:
  1 downloaded and applied this security fix for printed documentation.

  2. download and apply this hotfix.

  A customer reported that it cannot create a new function by using the Vista Panel - but he can create one using Windows XP.

  Hi John,.

  One thing you need to check on these machines that fail is the File Format of the FP.  This opens a file of .fp to the CVI, then going to the Options menu and then click on the FP File Format.  In this dialog box, make sure that the default new File Format is set to CVI 5.5 and later versions or CVI 8.5 and later versions. Once you put in one of these formats, you should be able to generate your panels to function again.  Please let me know if this does not work, or if you have any questions.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.
