  I installed PPCC2014. I can't import files from a Canon XF300 .mxf. I CAN import them into CS6 on the same laptop computer.

  I've been editing, .mxf files on my desktop to the PP years and for the last year on CC2014

  I tried to take the files, .mxf on the folder (which contains the .cif, .xml and .sif file) and import only and it does not work.

  The message I get is "not supported or damaged file."

  I tried to import by dragging and using import in the first.

  Someone knows what could happen?

  I came across this before. Seems that Premiere Pro is not properly enabled. I suggest the following:

  Sign out of the creative cloud app and exit (Quit option will be available after a few seconds).

  Now move the following folders on the desktop:

  (1) SLCache

  Windows: OS Lecteur\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe

  Mac: Adobe/Library/Application Support/Adobe

  
  

  (2) SLStore

  Windows: OS drive\ProgramData\Adobe

  Mac: Adobe/Library/Application Support/Adobe

  
  

  (3) OOBE

  Windows: OS Drive\\AppData\Local\Adobe Users\ directory

  Mac: /users / / Library/Application Support/Adobe

  
  

  Launch of Premiere Pro and sign in with your Adobe ID

  NOTE: Make sure that your Anti Virus/Firewall is blocking all the Adobe activation servers. Alternatively, you can also check your file "hosts" for any changes.

• cannot import raw [Nikon D810] files to LR [4.4]

  Hi, for some reason Premiere Pro CC2014 cannot import a CanonC300 of MXF files. It only happens with this file. It is may be damaged, but the file exists (I can open it and see with VLC). The structure of the file is: AA318801. AA318802 MXF. AA3188 MXF. XML AA3188. AA3188 XMP. CIF AA3188. THM AA318801. FIS AA3188. CPF. Something funny, it's the 2nd MXF file has zero byte. Media Encoder cannot import as well. I am working on Mac Mavericks. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thank you

  I have pictures in my folder of photos I want to make a DVD. Some images are video clips with a file extension. MOV. When I open windows movie maker and click on "importt" I find my photo file and select one of the video clips and try ti import it. I get a message that says "cannot import that movie maker does not recognize the codec. What should I do to get this program to accept my video clips with the .mov file extensions?

  Thank you for posting.  You will need a 3rd party software program or conversion to convert .mov to another type of file that will be recognized by Movie maker.  There are a few conversion tools free availible.  You can use your favorite search engine to find some of them.

  I seem to have the same problem as tantoe but when I clicked on the link in your message, it took me to the page, but the person's recommendation was not good; It (don't remember the name) had two links to click & when I clicked on the two I was redirected to a page that says that the page could not be found.

  The song with that I have a problem is "I'm in love (with a killer)" by Jeffree Star &, as with all my other audio files that I did NOT have this problem with, is mp3 format. I have a video in mind with this song & pictures I saved star but Windows Movie Maker cannot import it.

  If there is anything you could do, advice you could give, I would really appreciate it. This is my favorite song by Jeffree Star & it drives me crazy not being able to import it into Movie Maker. :-/

  Of the very basic knowledge on Adobe products please bare with me! We have deployed v8 Adobe Captivate our users to test and when they try to take a PPTX file and turn it into an interactive e-learning courses, it fails with the message:

  "Cannot import the selected file. Refer to the documentation to ensure that you have installed the correct version of microsoft office.

  We have the SP2 of Microsoft Office 2010 (x 86) installed Adobe Captivate 8 before us. We tested and this works if the user uses a PPT file (2003 / 2007 Compatible file) which is a workaround but isn't ideal because they then lose the functionality of 2010!

  Anyone can confirm that Captivate 8 supports Office 2010, or this is exactly why we have this problem?

  V9 does support Office 2010 if this is the case, as if a patch is not solve this problem, then we recommend the customer to go to the product V9. One thing is that we use 32-bit with 64-bit Captivate Office but the fact that it works with legacy PPT I doubt it is the origin of the problem.

  As far as I saw, 9 Captivate does not handle this better than 8 Captivate.  But you can check it out yourself by downloading and installing the Cp9 trial version and see if that will import your PPTX.

  A few other suggestions for you:

  • Make sure you run Captivate (regardless of version) using the command run as administrator.
  • Also set PowerPoint to be launched using run as administrator.
  • Don't try to import a huge PPT or PPTX.  Do your tests on something small, say 10 or 20 slides.  This will alleviate the question if you really do turn into is a matter of PC resources.
  • Test with PPTs very sober.  Captivate imports can stumble on some objects incorporated into the PPT Slides.  So just having pictures, text, and anything else in your PPT test.

  I started just to enter the Muse and find it a great new option for designers like

  me who are not coders. But there has been a little frustrating things I met so far.

  What I ask here is... Why can not import a layered PSD file into Muse so that it opens with layers

  and the place to watch as the composite images? Instead we must import a composite image 1.

  Then go back to import and implement several layers at once which do not come in assembled but also outside

  parts of the place. Then to start assembling the design of the site we spent time in PSD design

  as there corresponds to the composite image puzzle.

  Adobe has been showing how powerful it is to be able to import a psd file into Muse. But we are not really

  fact that... Well well, with layers and composite image intact. Which adds tons of time that could have been

  better spend on something else. In addition, to make things even more tortuous we create is no longer working

  bearings in PSD and rather do somersaults through other apps for something so simple.

  I'm a geek of speed here, and I wonder why you would ever want this. I learned very early with Muse of PSD files take up a ton of space, and this slows down your site.

  In fact, I learned to go in the complete opposite direction and save my PSD images to the exact size, when possible to 150ppi if it displays OK and with a JPG quality to 8-10.

  If you make a site that you expect other people to use, and especially on mobile, you can think about the size of the file or forget quality SEO.

  If you are looking for a picture of performance (speed/load time) site is max is to save MB each.

  Otherwise I do not know the answer to the question of the layer.

  I always say in situations like this do not devote the necessary time if you found nowhere BUT work on other priorities of the site.

• Updated CC, cannot import files

  Upgrade to CC last night, now I can not import all of the files. Import button is grayed out. Seems that they are being inserted in a previous collection and overwrite the old files. Help, please! I can edit them in the collection but they write on the SD card (if possible) and spare not on my computer, if I get out card it says files not found.

  Lightroom think these files exist in the catalog. You say that they are new, you just take pictures.

  Doesn't really matter what humans think that on this issue, if Lightroom think they are duplicates, it will behave this way. Now, I know that sometimes people are complaining about bugs in Lightroom duplicate detection functionality, maybe it's happening here.

  I noticed that your sequence of photos starting at 0001 it's maybe what is causing Lightroom to get confused. Maybe you shouldn't start the numbering to 0001 for each photo shoot and see what happens. Also, if you take these photos, copy them to your hard drive, then use your operating system to renumber (or change the prefix other than SDC) to something else, maybe they will import.
