    Thank you

    Hello kev1234567,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

I suggest that you download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to here.
You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

Once you have opened the Windows Installer Cleanup utility, it will fill all the programs installed on your computer by Windows Installer. Select iTunes and then click on the button Delete. It deletes all corrupted files or incomplete iTunes from your computer. Then remove the Hello and QuickTime. They will be both installed with iTunes again.

NOTE: iTunes Store purchases or songs imported from CDs are saved in your my default music folder and are not deleted by removing iTunes.

Then go to Apple.com and download the latest version of iTunes and try the installation again. You should now be successful in installing iTunes.

If you're still having problems, please refer to the support of Apple records: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923

    I hope this helps.

    Sincerely,

If please reply back and let us know if this helps solve your problem or if you still need help.

You can try both uninstalling and reinstalling as a new user to see if that helps:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-user-account

If this isn't the case, I recommend you contact Apple for assistance.

Check your hard drive for errors:

    Click Start

Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD

    Click on "Run as Administrator"

At the command prompt, type: chkdsk /f /r

When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and will try to correct them.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

And check its Vista compatibility at the link above, and if not to see what patches/solutions are available from its manufacturer...

If this is not Vista compatible, read the info on the link above.
