    Hello kev1234567,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

I suggest that you download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to here.
You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

Once you have opened the Windows Installer Cleanup utility, it will fill all the programs installed on your computer by Windows Installer. Select iTunes and then click on the button Delete. It deletes all corrupted files or incomplete iTunes from your computer. Then remove the Hello and QuickTime. They will be both installed with iTunes again.

NOTE: iTunes Store purchases or songs imported from CDs are saved in your my default music folder and are not deleted by removing iTunes.

Then go to Apple.com and download the latest version of iTunes and try the installation again. You should now be successful in installing iTunes.

If you're still having problems, please refer to the support of Apple records: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923

    I hope this helps.

    Sincerely,

If please reply back and let us know if this helps solve your problem or if you still need help.

  • Cannot install itunes on windows 8 64-bit.

just got a new laptop of WIn8. will not let me install itunes 10.7; said the program is incompatible and will not run the installation program. Any IDE? Have to wait as Apple updated itunes?

I have the answer I think that, even if it is not for the non-techie types. Fortunately, he does not imply the registry entries or a command prompt, it is not that difficult if you follow each step carefully. :) Seriously, take a deep breath, consider a step at a time and you can do the.

Before these measures taken, I couldn't get iTunes to install, but I understood this process recently with another program that gave me problems. Once I did this I have iTunes to run without any problems at all.

FIRST: You need to download and Save the full install package to iTunes. It will not work if it's a web installer! So don't go on iTunes and just hit Install. You must use the download and save.
I used iTunes 10.7.0.21 is told by the way. I downloaded it in October 2012, but the timestamp real Digital Signature says September 10, 2012. If possible, I recommend trying to get this version, in order to get out of another potential variable. Once downloaded go the file itself, probably in the downloads.
    1. Open the iTunes Setup file Properties (right click, properties) and you will see five tabs at the top: general, compatibility, Digital Signatures, security and details.
    2. In compatibility hit the button change the settings for all users , then check to run Windows 7 and run as Admin. Press Apply and réécrirait usual property tabs
    3. Then go to Security and click on Advanced
    4. In Advanced Options, you will see probably two types user unknown with a digital channel for a long time after. Not exactly sure what these are (probably Apple associated with), but they cause problems with the installers, so we are going to get out them. Click on one and press disable inheritance , and then click the button that appears to convert inherited permissions to explicit permissions on this object.
    5. After that select two unknown profiles and press delete and apply
    6. Then go to the last tab in this group (still in the Advanced Setup menu), which is entitled effective access
    7. Press to Select a user , and type the name that you use to connect to Windows 8 with in the Open box and then click on check names (name of your full user profile will come) and click OK
    8. When you do that, you can hit OK until you are off the menu of propriety .
    9. Run install, and I think you'll be all set, if this isn't an official technical support.
    Good luck!
System: I am running Windows 8 Pro 64 - bit motherboard designs, Supermicro, dual Xeons with a graphics card Nvidia Quadro 4000, 24 GB of RAM, Intel SSD hard drive OS.

  • Cannot install ITunes-no admin rights

    Hi all

My company won't let me install ITunes on my laptop for "security reasons." I insisted, but there is no way, they will do it. I don't have another computer at home so I'm looking for a portable version of ITunes or an alternative to ITunes.

Basically, I think I can do the upgrades and back ups with the cloud, but I did not understand how to download music and videos on my IPhone and Ipad without ITunes (and without any soft, since I can not install anything...).

    Any idea?

    Anne

You can buy songs from the iTunes Store directly on your iPhone (or use something like Apple's music service).  But now I know other way to import your CD (for example) on your iPhone without iTunes.  I'm sorry.

  • Cannot install iTunes 12.4 (any version)

I have iTunes installed 12.3.2.35 on my computer (running Windows 7). This computer has all the updates of Windows installed. When I tried to upgrade to iTunes 12.4 (none of the iterations and even after you uninstall iTunes 12.3.2.35), I get the following message:

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your supplier of staff or the package of support ".

I am able to install iTunes 12.4.3 on another computer running Windows 10 without any problem.

    Can anyone help?

I found how to fix this problem.

On the start menu in the PC

Type regedit then enter and Yes if there is

    CTRL + F to search

    Locate the file "iTunes6464msi".

    Delete this registry entry

Try to load the latest version of iTunes now

Hope that works for you. It did for me

"This installation package could not be opened. "Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package.

I sought the help of apple and various other forums, I have not tried to install some patches like the Windows utility, however, there is no sign of any file itunes on the laptop.

You have downloaded iTunes for Windows? Are you sure?
Maybe you should try to download iTunes again. Maybe the downloaded file is corrupt.

Make sure that you are logged as an administrator if you install iTunes.
