  One of the latest models requires Mac OS X 10.5 and above, however I think that you can always find some models of last year as 4500 Officejet, Photosmart C410 for example who make compatible with your operating system.

  The following steps are completely uninstall all HP printer software. Follow the steps in the order without skipping any. If the problem persists, I still believe that there is a problem with the operating system.

  Of the Original installation CD:

  1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup

  2. open my computer and click right then on the CD from the drive and select open

  3 open the Util folder

  4 open the CCC folder

  5. run the L4uninstall.bat

  6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

  7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

  8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

  9 download drivers and full software features

  Photosmart C5280 Full Feature software (Windows 7)

  10. run the download to reinstall the printer

  If the software has been downloaded and extracted to your system:

  1. type % temp % in the field of race

  2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)

  3 open the Util folder

  4 open the CCC folder

  5. run the L4uninstall.bat

  6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

  7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

  To check the printer hardware is functional, you are able to print a test page from the printer control panel? Video: printing a Test Page. (The video shows a HP Photosmart 6520, but the same instructions will work with your HP Photosmart 7520).

  You see error messages on the display of the printer?

• Cannot install Photosmart B - 209 on Win 8.1

  Trying to install sw full of features for b-209 existing on a new Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro installed Win 8.1 64.

  Have you tried the installer and it downloads the full sw.  After the extraction is nothing, no screens, no sense etc...

  Have also manually downloaded the complete sw of features and tried to install with the same results.  The sw has no problem to find my printer on the network.

  At some point, the base driver has been installed and connected to the printer, I was able to print.  Need the Solutions Center for the status of scanning and printing.

  At this stage there is no HP in my program files folder and no HP on my splash screen and no installed HP printer.

  Is it me or the sw?  Experts available?

  My problem has been resolved.  Although my solution maybe isn't the final solution for the others, I am convinced that Jonathan, Brent and engineering group will be able to offer a solution to the installer.  Thank you guys for your help.

  From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.  Scroll down to the print spooler , made service right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

  Restart the computer and you should find that the documents have been deleted.

  I had to run the recovery disk after receiving the virus/malware.  It seems that all the other printer drivers are on my computer.  I downloaded the driver from HP.com several times and it cannot be found by my computer.  Manually, I tried to load it from the disc supplied with the printer and got the following error message: "cannot install driver because it is not digitally signed or not signed in the appropriate way.»

  We could continue, while reinstalling Windows would finally settle the matter. If you believe that the issue is related to the virus, you can run a scan for viruses on your computer using any anti-virus software you have. After that, reinstalling Windows could be the next step.

  Alternatively, you can try to install the printer in Mode safe, if you have not already.

  My laptop is a VAIO with a new hard drive. My system is Windows 7, 64 - bit.

  No problem to install my HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one. Everything works perfectly with this printer that is home #1.

  When I go to the #2 House, the printer is Photosmart C6380 all-in-One. Cannot install this driver. I tried downloading the driver and using the CD provided with the purchase of the printer.

  If I download the driver, when I open the file I get the message "Runtime error". If I use the CD, it goes further: I get the "Install" window, but a little later, I get a window titled ' D\Setup\hpzshl.ice_suffix... runyahoostub m "exe" "-wStub" "265236"... On the inside of the window, I can read the sentence "the specified file is missing".

  I tried to uninstall my McAfee protection and eliminate all nonMicrosoft services in the program, without success. What can I do? I need to have two pilots (C7280 and C6380) on my computer.

  My printer keeps using ink photo instead of the printer ink, but it seems to me impossible to change. I found a solution somewhere on the forum to check the box "use black ink only" in preferences > advanced > grey but it is not this option in the Dutch version...

  I have already tried several things: cleaning the printerheads, handed over to defaultsettings, try changing preferences with the HP ePrint, printermaintanence of the printingheads and cartridge, etc...

  I stumbled on your post about how you cannot select this option to print in "black ink only" when you try to change the settings of the printer for you Photosmart C6380 and I wanted to answer. Although I'm not familiar with the Dutch language, I suggest you make sure you download and install the full feature software and driver on your computer to have access to all the options of the printer.

  If that does not give you the option of selecting black ink only, then I would recommend contacting HP directly to see if a technical support representative can connect remotely to your computer to help others.

  Just bought HP M6/1125DX/15j with Windows 8. My current HP printer is a HP Photosmart C6380 All In One.  The printer does not work, but the photo and analysis part icons no longer appear which were on my front desk. I tried to download the entire program which said would update my printer, but after 6 tries to one hour each, at the end he just said my download has been cancelled. Is there a chance that my printer will be supported by Windows 8 and how do I do that if I can't download.  Or am I stuck buying a new printer? Thank you

  The C6380 is supported in Windows 8 and has a Solution Full Download.  I would try using the Print Wizard to download and install the drivers.
