    can't answer the first question that I don't ever use websphere - if you want to use it, you will find a way, if not I suggest you switch to eclipse.

    Yes, you must generate the Cod. It cannot be run without generating the binary file.

    FYI: we use eclipse as editor-in-Chief and the jde as a tool to build test /.

  • Java plug-in for Eclipse or BB JDE BB

    Hello developers BB!

    I am really new to the BlackBerry development world as you will see.

    I started to read some of the tutorials and there is something that I'm not sure. What is the difference between BlackBerry Java plug-in for Eclipse and the BlackBerry JDE? Which one should I use to develop my applications?

    I'll take this opportunity to ask, is there a graphical development environment to develop applications? or do I have this code? I ask this question to the General knowledge.

    Thanks in advance for your time and help.

    Best regards.

    You should encode everything, there is no GUI Builder. Eclipse is the way to go, JDE is removed out sooner than later.

  • Cannot install point. Restart the application and re-download your purchase.

    We have an application published with two folios in there. Several users have complained that when they try to update the app, they get this error: "cannot install point. Please restart the application and download your new purchase. "I have NOT been able to reproduce this error on 4 different iPads. However, I have 3 users who receive this error whenever they try to update the folio.

    They tried to remove the app and reinstall. The same problem.

    They tried several different WiFi FORT connections, same problem.

    A user came to my office. We have updated the app on my iPad. Worked well. Tried it on his iPad. Got the error. Same WiFi connection within minutes following one another.

    What is going on?!!!

    Adobe has released a series of patches for viewers to iOS to handle this problem, you have described. V31 V32 these patches and are in need of an update. Knowing that your application is v29, v32 app you just submit you should be fine.

  • iOS8 Multi Folio - error message "cannot install point.

    We are a UK using Enterprise Edition Editor to produce several folios. We publish v27, to target iOS6 + 7. Update to iOS8 and opening our application in kiosk and downloading an edition, we get the Error Message "cannot install Item." I've been reading through the various threads and can not see a final solution. Interestingly, the two Adobe mag apps I have on my kiosk (CMO & inspires) show the same error message. Thank you very much.

    You must rebuild your app v31 or v32, and try again.

    Not sure exactly what you're asking. You ask if there is an eclipse environment to develop for the PlayBook. If so, do you have FlashBuilder (Adobe) or FDT based on eclipse.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones cannot install the blackberry app world

    I had the old version of the app world. Like others in this forum, I got a message that there is a new version available.  Tried to update but got the same messages to invalid connection, tried to reset my password but got no connection, etc. Message.

    So I tried to come here to update I read in another forum that this is what I had to do.  So I create an account and when I connected my Curve 8310 on my computer and enter my device password, I get a notification that I need to upgrade to the new version of the app world.

    I click the buttons needed for the update of the synchronization. But when the warning on the screen icon says "sync, unplug your appliance or leave this website" nothing happens, the page eventually times out and I am disconnected. This product whenever I try to update app world.

    So, I decided to uninstall the app via Blackberry Desktop Manager world.  No problem, but try to install the latest version via appworld.blackberry.com, is the same thing, he says: it's sync but it expires and no word of the app is installed.  Even after the traction battery.

    Defective unit? appworld does not support Google Chrome?  Not ready for primetime appworld?

    Hello AbeFroman,

    Have you tried going directly to the BlackBerry with your BlackBerry appworld page yet? I've always found it's the easiest way. The link is: http://www.blackberry.com/appworld/download

    You can also use an email address with your BlackBerry assosciated to get through: http://ca.blackberry.com/apps-software/appworld/download.jsp

    Hope this helps,

  • Cannot install point. Please restart your application...

    A folio that downloaded perfectly last week is now a failure to download. The folio has been shared to a certain number of people who now get the same message "Please restart the application and re-download your purchase." He gets exactly 4.6 mb prior to notification.  Are there known issues, at the present time?

    Hi all

    I think that I am facing a similar problem. To me, it seems that the problem is the file HTMLResources.zip. Here's my story;

    I create a new folio and can bring an article (HTML file), which downloads and displays in the iPad Viewer fine (without images, css styles and script objects). I close the visualization of the iPad and download the HTMLResources.zip in the producer of Folio. Start Viewer iPad once again, who told me that there is an update available for this folio. Hit download and boom, impossible to install, etc..

    I'm willing to accept that there is a mistake on my part, especially in the structure of folders I've used, but Ive read and re-read the guide and think Ive got right. Namely;

    -Main file

    -Chapter folder (the file of chapter HTML; this is the folder that I point to bring the article to the folio)

    -File "HTMLResources" (contains images, css; no subfolder)

    The .zip file includes the image and css files and not the folder 'HTMLResources' itself.

    Christian,

    Does this sound similar to your situation?

  • BlackBerry Java SDK v6.0.0 what operating system on the device?

    I installed BlackBerry Java SDK v6.0.0 and the 1.1.2.201004161203 - 16 BlackBerry Java plug-in for Eclipse.

    What Op system will run applications compiled and delivered with the Java SDK v6.0.0?

    It's just a ready version for OS v.6 or Apps running on OS v.5.x?

    I've compiled packed etc and tried to load my file ALX on my BB I get;

    "No applications can be found. Your file may contain applications that already exist... "etc".

    Google has been, and it was suggested that I uninstalled BB Desktop, cleanregistry etc., downloaded the latest version. Done, but no joy.

    Thank you.

    all devices are compatible, but not upward.

    in other words, an application compiled with os 6 will work only on the OS6 devices (simulators).

    If you compile with 4.2.1 all devices with OS 4.2.1 or higher, for example OS 6, run.
