Cannot install Windows 7 on an all-in - One HP 1105

I have this computer came with Windows 7 Starter factory installed. It is an all-in-one Professional PC 1105 with product code C6Y91LT #ABM.

I try to install Windows 7 Professional on this topic and I'm having a hard time because Windows install keeps asking for a CD/DVD driver which I can't locate and for which I have never seen Windows asking a driver before.

I tried page drivers on HP.com, I extracted the existing drivers with DriverMagicianLite, I tried to install versions both 32 and 64 bit, tried with IDE and AHCI set in place for storage in the BIOS, and finally I ran out of options.

I try to install from USB with the same installer, I have used successfully for centuries.

Error comes just as I hit 'Install now' to the Windows Installer Wizard, about a quarter section of information collection.

Exact error is: "A required CD/DVD drive driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, flash orUSB drive, please insert it now. "
I do not have the installation media that he is supposed to come with the computer and it doesn't have the recovery partition do not know why.

Is it possible to install Windows 7 Professional in this bunch?

Please help, been stuck here for two weeks already.

----------

When something does not work as it is supposed to, then it works as expected.

For some reason, the I have the DVD of Windows 7 has been around.

It doesn't have SP1, I assumed it was the question, although I can't be sure what update could have been any mistake installing.

Thanks for your help Paul =)

Get a new copy of the software from HP.com (you don't mention that you AIO so I can't give you the exact link, but click on drivers & Software on the HP site and enter the exact model of the printer, then download the version for Vista 32 or 64 bit, depending on what you have).  Use the option to save to your computer.  Don't forget where you download it.

Navigate to the file, right-click on it and select run as administrator.

You should now be able to do everything that your printer is capable of.

    Hello

Here is another solution, you can try to see if you can get Windows 7 to install correctly.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create an installation disk yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the version exact same origin supplied with your laptop ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

All pilots additional and the software, you may need can be found here.

    Kind regards

No hardware changes or software recently made to the system: I followed the usual procedure to install Windows updates.

    Method of connection: wireless

    Technical expertise: intermediate level

Performed troubleshooting: because the error # 80071 A 90 type indicated by the system, I followed the instructions of Windows Help and Support, for example to run Microsoft Fix it which did not work; a more advanced method has also been used, who recommended to start Windows Update in Mode safe, then open Windows Update and install the updates and then restart normally. At this point, the problem was that any stage of Windows Update was available.

    Hello amib004,

As much as I know, only Windows Update cannot be run in safe mode. That being said, I saw where install several updates may conflict with each other. Try to disable all updates installation and install the updates failed one at a time.

    Hello

I see that you have a problem in the installation of new Windows USB port. It seems that your HDD was not detected, right? It's because your laptop uses a SATA HDD.

what you need to do are:

    1. download the driver AHCI SATA website of intel. (just google it)

    2. copy the files (size 700 KB for 6 files) into the new USB

    3. reboot and install your laptop with win 7 (dvd/usb)

    4. by the time win 7 installation reached the drive to install (none detected), click load drivers.

    5. now load your other USB SATA drivers.

    6. then will show all disks in your system.

    7. continue with the installation process.

    hope this helps.

(My Automatic Updates usually work, but this time not to go.) Updates are obtained through IE8 browser, but I prefer FireFox for daily use.)

    Thank you! Success!

I used method 2, because I had already tried method 1 earlier, but the "fix it" went wrong. After reading the information from method 2, I opted to use my FireFox instead of IE8 browser, because I suspected that the process Internet Explorer that are included with the update was a large part of the cause of my problem. Among the options, I used Microsoft Download center to locate the update I needed and then through its validation and finally made the download and reboot. Voila!

Can you please explain why the process more automated via IE did not work for me? Why I resorted to the labour process more that I used? Can I expect this of all the other "critical" updates that I get on my machine Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005? Maybe your answers would also be interesting to others.

    Hi Nnrmalata,

    1. you are trying to install 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7?

    2. What is the brand and model of your computer?

Boot from GPT is only supported for 64-bit of Windows 7 on UEFI-based systems.

For more details, refer to this link:

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/hardware/gg463525.aspx

If your computer does not support UEFI, back up your important data to an external drive and delete all partitions on hard drives and create a new partition.

    (a) start from the Windows 7 DVD

    (b) click on install now

    (c) in the configuration screen, click Custom (Advanced)

    (d) click on drive Options

    (e) select the partitions to format

    (f) click on Format - this will erase EVERYTHING on this partition

    (g) create a new partition, and then select a partition to install Windows on.

    (h) follow the on-screen instructions and install Windows.

Note: Converting a hard disk partition or volume from NTFS to FAT32 requires that you reformat the partition, which deletes all the data on this subject. Be sure to back up data that you want to keep before you begin.

You can check the link for reference:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd799232 (WS.10) .aspx

Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

If above did not help, please refer to the steps in this link.

Note: Backup your important data to an external drive

Change a Table of Partition GUID drive on a main boot drive

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Did you install the SATA drivers first?
You need this driver to recognize the HARD drive!

You must download the Intel Matrix Storage Manager. You should find it on the page of the Toshiba driver or the Intel Web site.

You must perform the installation of an external USB FDD drive using the F6 key during the installation of Win XP.
