  In my application of planning for any member (including zero), I see only the following options for member properties:

  Is the above normal?
  If so, how can I enable the Member to share? In particular, I want to share the time dimension members. Is it still possible?

  Add a child to the time Member

  Hello

  Are you sure that you associate dimensions "VALxxxxx" in the workbench to your valid dimensions within Essbase?
  VAL dimensions are down at the bottom of the list of dimension for the adapter Essbase... and ValEntity, ValAccount, etc.

  You must use the same method to load the members that you already use in EPMA, if it's a pure Essbase applications and metadata should be loaded for EPMA and not through the Regional service.

  If you already have applications of EPMA, then you would use the same method.

  I solved the problem by creating the new profile by running driver difficulty in this regard.

• How to load dimensions and members in the planning application

  I'm trying to load dimensions and members in planning. I know that size of loading is not recommended by Essbase but I wanted to give it a try. I tried to load the dimensions through rule files, but it threw an error that the "members do not exist in the database. Is this an indication that the data may not be loaded at all the in the planning your application through Essbase.

  If it is a planning application, you must load the metadata/dimension planning first. You cannot load the metadata directly to Essbase as it will be overwritten when you refresh planning.

  You can read the documentation to understand how planning works. Planning is an interface that sits on top on Essbase. However, Planning metadata are stored in database tables and it is would be synch with Essbase via Hyperion Planning refresh.

  In order to load the metadata to the planning, I suggest you to open a session on planning and attempting to manually build the dimensions first to know how the planning interacts with Essbase. You can load the metadata in planning thanks to:

  1. manually
  2 ODI: You will need to reverse the planning your application and then use it to load the metadata
  3 schema utility load on planning server.

  Remember, all the planning is done via interface planning interviews and not by Essbase.

• Impossible to remove members from the planning

  I'm on a project where the customer uses Hyperion planning 4.0.5.2, Tomcat 5.0.28 & Essbase 7.1.6.7 on Windows 2003.
  
  In planning, there are some redundant members in the entity dimension that are not required by the user. That is why those that should be deleted. However, when I select one and click on the button Delete, the status bar appears at the bottom of the screen. This progress for some time and then remains constant at a point. The Member is not deleted. I will appreciate if someone could put in light of reason and offer a solution for the same at the earliest.

  You could take a backup of sql db app planning.

  Stop planning
  Delete all the records in HSP_PLANNING_UNIT_LOG
  Delete all the records in HSP_PLANNING_UNIT
  Start planning

  You really need to remove all records of HSP_OBJECT and associates

  HSP_PLANNING_UNIT. PLAN_UNIT_ID will have a matching record in HSP_OBJECT. OBJECT_ID

  Find the records to HSP_OBJECT identity card, you must remove first, but you will need to delete records last (after you remove records of the unit planning tables)

  We have 1 alternative account hierarchy, that remove us all level 0 marked as shared dimension member counts.
  The problem is to do takes Age, at the same time of rear loading done in minutes, these members removal takes an hour.
  
  Do you know if there is a problem when ODI remove members shared planning?
  Do you know what Oracle is doing in the background (we have Oracle as database)?

  You can test the removal even using the outlineload utility to compare the results, if there is a big difference in the time then he connect with Oracle.

  (1) what is the purpose of the button "reverse" in the properties of the model.
  (2) I imported a model sample application odi odi zip file. I created a sample application in the 'odipln' planning and tries to load the sample metadata using reverse engineering (IE from flat files to planning). I get an error like

• Cannot load FM docs with the rest of the trial

  I downloaded the demo of Tech Comm Suite evaluate FM 8 and the 7 HR integrated, but I can't figure out how to create online help. Setup placed the icons on my desktop for FM 8, HR 7 for Word, 7 HR, RoboSource Control and Captivate HTML (I chose to not not to install Acrobat 3D, FM Clipart and various FM filters). But FM 8 has no functionality of RoboHelp output that I can find, and the two HR applications do not seem to allow the importation of FM.

  With TCS, you should see two icons, one for the HTML HR for human resources for Word. For your work of FM, you'll use HR HTML. The other version is just a part of what you get.

  I am able to load digital data in the planning with odi but trying to load its rejection of all lines of text data.
  
  I am trying to load just two records and I get this message

  I went through blog "ODI-get the textual data in the planning" of john and he has helped me get to this point, but I get this error at the end.

  If you load data, you don't need to use the operator column, it is used with loading of metadata.

• Planning error object is locked when loading of the dimension members by HAL

  We have a problem loading a dimension members in a planning application. We get the error message Error: com.hyperion.planning.ObjectIsLockedException: the PKI object is locked by another user.
  We can load other dimensions, and we do not have the sessions/users in the application.
  We have also restarted the planning service.
  
  Has anyone seen this problem before?

  You should be able to clear the lock by restarting the web application Planning Server.

  You can also take a look in the HSP_LOCKS table.

  I would like to load dimension flat file to planning: I created the flat file and the import profile, and when I import the file manually, there is no problem.
  
  But when I try to load it via Taskflow, I got the following error:
