    Hi BarbaraWolfe,

There are many causes of Code 39 errors:

    • A required device driver is missing.
    • A required binary file is corrupted.
    • There is a problem with the file I/O process.
    • A driver that refers to an entry point in another binary file cannot load.
Re-install the driver by downloading it from the link given:

  • Add/Remove components error and DVD driver error: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Original title: Add/Remove components error and DVD driver error

Yesterday, I removed several components of windows to attempt to clean my cpu. After the reboot, I noticed that my DVD drive disappeared. I tried to update the driver but told me I have the most updated version, I uninstalled and reinstalled the drive, but I still get the same error. Under Driver Details, it shows that I have a lot of drivers for my Phillips DVD player. However, the status of the device is the following: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device. I've done the troubleshooting, and the two options has not fixed the problem.

Then I tried to add windows components that I removed, thinking maybe that was the problem. However, when I try to add them, I get an error message that says: 'Setup cannot copy the file zClientm.ex_' it shows the location of this file as being in windows/i386, and of course, the file is located in this folder. So when I go to browse to locate the file, I find and click on it to open it, but I keep getting the same error message that the file is not found and Setup cannot continue.

I realize that this problem seems very rare and weird, but any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you.

Try the following per this KB.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/812339

Also, note, that link above is for XP. But it certainly looks like a profile problem. Here's how to create a new. Just create a new profile and delete the old one after the documents have been moved to the course.

1 / click on the Start button

2 / on the start menu, click the control panel option

3 / in the Control Panel, click the user account

4 / the user account window is now open

5 / in the list of options "Make changes to your account", click on manage another account

6 / user Account Control will now kick and ask permission to keep you. If you are the administrator, then simply click on the button continue. If you are not the administrator, then you need to get the administrator, the user name and password before you can continue.

7 / him choose the account you want to change the window will now open.

8 / click on create a new account

9 / the window "account name and choose an account type" open now

10 / type the name of the new account in the name dialog box.

11 / now select the Type of account you are interested in. You have two choice, Standard or administrator.

    • Standard - standard accounts allow the user to use most of the software installed on your computer and also to change the settings of the system that are not related to other users or is security settings.
    • Administrator - the administrator has complete control over the computer and can make changes they wish to

12 / once you have selected the type of account you want to create, click on the button create account

13 / new account will be created now.

    Hello Dixon7,

You can also do a simple check to confirm or not the temporary profiles are created.

    • First check in C:\Users for all profiles not created by your customer.
    • Then check Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > user profile > settings.
      • This will display a list of current profiles on the system.

Also, take a look on Microsoft for the Windows Vista KB Article, to see if it applies to your case: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215.

Overall, the underlying issue is simply corruption profiles of Hordie recommendation to create a new profile if the best. You could then just migrate the older user profile data to the new.

    Original title: Registery Error Message

During startup, I get an error message that the registry database cannot find a file and modify registry to delete the reference to the file in the registry.  How can I do this?

    Hello

    • What were the changes made before the problem occurred?

I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Configuration of your system in a clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

This device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) in the graphics AMD - 8151 HyperTransport (MC) AGP3.0 Tunnel, what do I do to fix this help please.

    Jake

    Hey Jake,

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1: Follow these steps:

    (a) restart your computer if you have not already done so. There is always the possibility that the error Code 31 that you see was caused by a temporary problem with Device Manager. If so, a simple reboot can solve the Code 31.

    (b) have you install a device or a change in the Device Manager, just as the Code 31 error appeared? If so, it is very possible that the modification caused the Code 31 error.

    (c) cancel the change if you can restart the computer and then check again the error Code 31. Depending on the changes, some solutions may include:

Remove or reconfigure newly installed unit.

Restore a version prior to updating the driver.

Use system restore to undo the Device Manager recent related changes.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/system-restore-frequently-asked-questions

    (d) to remove the registry values filters upper and lower. A common cause of errors in Code 31 is the corruption of two registry values in the class of the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive registry key.

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following link. http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/back-up-the-registry

Method 2: Update the latest graphic drivers.

A few days ago, my computer was working very slow... I have downloaded device drivers (windows could not find them on my system) using a laptop and copied computer on a disc.  I tried to install and I got an error message indicating that windows has failed.  I did a system restore to a point a few days before I started having problems.  Windows cannot successfully go back to the restore point.  I spoke with a technology computer and HP tech.  HP technology seems to think that windows is damaged and I need to remove and reinstall it on my computer.  I spoke with computer technology in my area, and he seems to think that my hard drive has failed, however I can still run photoshop and backup my system.

Does anyone have any ideas before I m computer local tech.  3 year warranty just expired February 1, 2011.  Don't you know.

    Hi TeresaPacy,

    1. don't try to install new software or hardware on your computer recently?

    Hi krt2,

In general, the error can be caused by a missing required device driver, a required binary file is damaged, if there is a problem with the process I/O file, or if a pilot that makes reference to an entry point in another binary file which can not load

You can try to uninstall and reinstall the driver for the device to solve this problem.

Step 1: Uninstall the CD/DVD driver. Follow this step to do the same thing:

    a. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click System and Maintenance and then click Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    b. expand CD-ROM/DVD-Rom drives-> right click on the device, and then click Properties.

    c. on the device properties dialog box, click the driver tab, and then click on uninstall.

    d. restart your computer.

Step 2: Reinstall the CD/DVD driver by visiting the manufacturer's Web site.

See the links below for more details on the update of drivers:

If you try to insert two cards at the same time that would be normal given that the card reader is bound to a single channel of USB. It all depends on how your computer has been configured when it was built.

If you remove the first card and insert another card it is possible that you are not just right-click on the map in file Explorer and ejecting the card before you remove them.

  • Error "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »

Original title: Audio recording sound recording microphone

Hey, if I get this message:

Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

    {Unable to load device driver}
HS device driver could not be loaded.
    Error status is 0 x %x

When I check the status of my driver, I "updated", but he said I had the latest update installed, and when I clicked on the option for the computer solve the problem itself, after he discovered what was wrong, said, that it has not been yet fixed... I have a HP ENVY m6. Any ideas on what to do? Oh and I did a 'tune up' just a little bit before, but just the usual things nothing big or diff

There are several models of m6 ENVY

    ENVY m6 -?

This is a link to the audio driver for HP ENVY m6 - 1188ca (it can work also on other HP computers or not)
This is a link to the HP support site to download drivers

And this is something common for "tuneup", "speed up my computer", "registry cleaner" software to cause problems
Looks like something to remove the registry entries for the driver
  • Equium - Windows cannot load the device driver for USB dongle

I've been using a dongle for about a month without problems, but now it is said (in Device Manager) "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »

-what it means and how can I solve this problem?

    Hi Ozcat,

What USB dongle is that exactly?
What cell phone do you have?
    What operating system is installed?
Have you already tried to reinstall the driver for USB dongle?
