Cannot load Disqus comments even in safe mode

Even in Safe Mode with all add-ons disabled, I can't load the Disqus comments on any site. I also tried the activation of third party cookies and pop-up windows and ensured that all my plug-ins are up-to-date. I don't know what else to try.

I get the message "DISQUS seems to take longer than usual. Reload? ». When I reboot, I get the same message after a few seconds. Sometimes comments flashes on the screen for a moment and then disappear.

It's on Mac OS 10.6.8.

Another user reported this same message. Although we have not learned the cause of the problem in this thread, you can take a look: Firefox 15.0.1 charge not disqus even in safe mode.

Moreover, Firefox 10.0.2 has several publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities. Is there a reason you have not upgraded to 15 Firefox or another intermediate version?

If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  • Cannot open files exe, even in safe mode

My computer worked fine until last night. When I went today to my Ad-Aware Pro detected several attempts to change the registry. I wasn't sure what they were thus blocked. Now part of Ad-Aware Ad-Watch will not load and I can't open any .exe files at all, he said that there is no program associated with this action and to create in folder options. My Windows Explorer seems to be missing (the icon that launches in any case), and system restore no longer works (don't get the same message - no program etc...). I downloaded several anti-spyware scanners, but I can't run these either! When I restarted after having blocked attempts suspicious to change the registry, he stopped on the Welcome screen with a dialog box that has two small black lines in it, a close button (which does not), and an ok button. The boot process will not continue unless you click ok. It does now every time you start. Also, I booted in safe mode but nothing works, there either and I can't update my AV. in 'connect to the server' I tried the run box on the start menu to get the command prompt and that does not work either, I get the same message on there is no program etc... For a few icons I click that actually do something, they are all open Ad-Aware. It's my fault - probably the first time, he asked me to associate an icon with a program, I chose to apply it to all the files like this. Don't you think it's a virus?

I have tried everything that suggests even joined a malware forum suggested, all to nothing done, because my system doesn't let me exercise one or more of the actions/suggestions/software. I'm admitting defeat guy - I'm going to rebuild, there is too much error different messages/things that aren't now doesn't work does not correctly that even if I fail to rid the system of the Malware, I'll probably still do more the top of page installation of XP to fix things. I don't have the patience.

Thanks for everything and I'm sorry if you think I've wasted your time.

  • Thunderbird does not load when open, even in safe mode

When I open Thunderbird, it charge about 16 MB in RAM, and wedge. If I'm lucky, I can open Thunderbird using the Windows safe mode and safe mode of Thunderbird, run the program as administrator, but only once. Fail other attempts to open the program. I checked the parent.lock file and it does not exist unless Thunderbird is running. The user account is an administrator account, but the same thing happens with a standard account. Compatibility check says that the program is incompatible with any other suggestions. I tried to run under settings for Windows 7 and Vista with the same results. This happens before and after a profile import, omitting the extensions, a version of work using Mozbackup.

All other programs are functioning normally.

Acer SW5 - 012P type 2 in 1 computer, Windows 8.1 pro 32-bit, 64-bit based Atom, 4 core CPU with graphics Intel HD, Thunderbird 45.4, Kaspersky Security suite, installed from the same file that I used to work on a computer Windows 10 specifications similar.

A dump is available from the Task Manager if necessary.

The problem is cured but not resolved. Reinstall Windows by using an ISO from the Microsoft Web site restored normal operation of Thunderbird.

I can only assume that something in the installation of Acer image was interfering with the loading, although Thunderbird (a number of different versions have been found) and Seamonkey mail were the only made programs. I thought I had deleted all the bloatware, but it is possible that something was still there.

  • Cannot search from the address bar or search even in safe mode

    Hello

I can't search in the address bar or search, even in safe mode. I refreshed Firefox, delete all cookies, empty my cache, but nothing works. Also, I get a message that does not respect the firefox sync, and "this object pushed." I know that these are all different questions, but I suspect that there is a link.

I have very limited FTP and general computer knowledge, so please take I don't know anything when he answers! Really hope you can help!

    Thanks in advance.

You can check if you have the XML files including Google's default search engine in the browser\searchplugins file in the Firefox program folder.

If this isn't the case, then you need to reinstall Firefox.

Try to delete the file search.json and possible search - metadata.json and search.sqlite files in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the default search engines.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

Firefox will rebuild the file search.json from the default search engines in the folder "browser\searchplugins" in the Firefox program folder and the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

  • Update 40.0.2 is slow, hangs a lot, even in safe mode.

So, I tried several things in the troubleshooting here in support articles, but none solved my problems.

Basically, after that automatically put Firefox updated to 40.0.2, the browser crashes a lot on the opening and closing of tabs, loading Web sites as well. When idle, the CPU/RAM usage is normal, but opening or closing of tabs uses a lot of CPU (most of the time, 100% of the CPU is used in navigation) and it crashes every time. Scroll to the bottom of pages also allows the browser to hang. I tried to deactivate several plugins and extensions and I even tried to use the safe mode, but even in safe mode, it happens constantly. I'll post the specs of my computer (no), but don't forget that those issues didn't happen before the update.

    Core 2 Duo 2.93 GHz
    4 GB OF RAM
    Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
    GeForce 8400GS

Please, what is anyone has found problems with this new update? What should I do? I use Firefox since 2007 and I love it, I wouldn't move to another.

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

Start the computer in safe mode Windows with network support (on the startup screen, press F8) to see if it has an impact.

I can't start firefox. It is said that it can not load the profile. The profile files are there, I believer.

  • Firefox crashes (even in safe mode) constantly and use 50% CPU while doing

I use Firefox 36.0.1 and Windows XP (32-bit version).

Lately, Firefox made this weird thing where it stops randomly load anything, as if the connection has been broken (it isn't, any other works very well). In this case, Firefox uses 50% CPU, when it is usually revolves around, well, 0%. Restart the browser, or waiting for a few minutes "fixed" the problem temporarily. Same thing in safe mode, too.

I have the feeling that this * might * be related to Flash, since it seems to happen more often when I am watching videos, or stream on the shaking. I tried to disable the plugin-container and update the Adobe Flash Player plugin, with little success. Malwarebytes could not find anything either, and it does not feel like a virus anyway.

Whatever it is, I'm out of options at this point. I had a lot of problems with Firefox for a while now, especially when it comes to videos/animations (I can't play the videos of Vine.co , for example), and it starts to make it difficult for me. I really don't want to switch to Chrome, I don't trust of Google and their browser doesn't have a lot of key functions I like in Firefox (such as the sidebar bookmarks < 3), so I really hope I can get help here.

    Any suggestions?

Chrome is a pain, I tried to go back and difficulty of Firefox (so far), and again, I think I found the problem. I should mention that I tried these 5 suggestions before, btw, and none of them got rid of the problem. Yes, even in safe mode, with a profile is empty, no plugins, no firewall and without tab, it happens again, somehow. And Yes, Chrome will work fine with Firefox running in the background, as I mentioned in my previous post.

What he did for me was turn off Prefetching and IPv6 times in all: config, following the instructions on this this page .

I'm not sure that one did the trick (I kinda afraid to mess with that again, but I could test if you want to, it might be useful to others), but it looks like everything is going well for the moment.

  • I changed the settings of Java and now Firefox plant she opens up, even in safe mode; How can I fix?

I tried to change the settings to access the comments section of Slate.com. Good or bad, I changed a setting Java-1 to 2. The setting spoke in: config and I think it was some sort of max. As I can't open anything, I'm not sure.

When I made the change, firefox crashed immediately, whenever I tried to reopen, even in safe mode, it hangs again immediately and will not reopen.

    Hi pternagy,
    Sorry, you have problems.

For any future reference. Those of us who mess directly with: config soon find out how to get errors and it is wise to backup. Occasionally backup of your entire profile for example can be useful and would probably give you a quick solution of the copy on the file from the backup.

OK on the topic to try to get Firefox back as it was:
Find your profile and the prefs.js file and rename that. (The renamed file is a potentially useful backup.) Firefox is then forced to regenerate the file and will reset your default preferences. You can then re open and use Firefox. Then, try to return to normal.

Try to manually change the file prefs.js is normally a bad idea. However, if this is a one-time change prefs it would be possible to directly edit the prefs.js file (while Firefox is closed) to get everything back to how it was before. You have the file renamed to work with. Probably best to test this in a new additional profile so only break you test additional essential Firefox profiles profiles works do not.

  • Update of FF, message says to restart to complete the previous update. I reboot with the same message. Tried to uninstall. Same message, even in Safe Mode.

I tried to update Firefox and repeatedly getting this message: "your computer must be restarted to complete a previous update of Firefox. Do you want to restart now? "If I click on no, nothing happens." If I click Yes, it restarts and I get the same message all over again. I tried to uninstall the program and get the same message, even in Safe Mode. I tried to start with a configuration of the previous system, but the computer would not give me the dates of previous configuration. I am running XP, and I deleted Internet Explorer, so I can't access the Internet on this computer. I tried to install the update by downloading the upgrade on another computer and transfer it to a flash drive, but I got the same results. If I go to control panel configuration/Add / Remove Programs, it says I have Firefox Version 13.0.1. For about 6 months before this incident, I get a message when I load Firefox, who said that he could not install an update attempt. If I clicked OK, at least he'd still go the old version. Now, he will do even that.

Hello, the installation of #3 in the initial response folder is referring to the entire directory "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox", not any subfolder or file in particular. If the directory is still present after uninstalling firefox via the windows control panel, and then if it please delete the whole folder "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" & try reinstalling firefox afterwards.

  • Satellite L300-29U - Vista crashes, even in safe mode

Hi, I really hope there is someone out there who can help me, my laptop does not work (properly) more, and I don't know what is the cause.

    * The short version: *.

Two days ago my computer froze all of a sudden for no apparent reason. It did not (without Ctrl-Alt-Del, etc), I could only move the pointer. Since then, has happened repeatedly, even in safe mode. A potential clue: runs chkdsk c: \r \f results in a blue screen.

    * Details: *.

I have a Satellite L300-29U (about 3.5 years) with Windows Vista.
Two days ago the computer is not responding, after running normally for a few hours. I had not installed a new hardware or software. Even the clock had stopped. Only the pointer could be moved, but clicking on had no effect, or no has Ctrl-Alt-Delete. I stopped him via the power button. It restarted normally, I opened it then Firefox, but shortly after the same problem has emerged.
I selected the Mode without fail to start and then let my antivirus (Avira) program a complete check of the system. The computer froze again after about an hour and 30% in the analysis. (Curiously, the timer showing how much time had passed since the beginning of the analysis was still running, but had stopped the clock of the computer.)
Later, I tried another full analysis and again once it froze. Before that, I ran a few quick scan negative that came.

In general, I find that Windows starts fine, but in normal mode it freezes pretty quickly when I try to do something. In safe mode, it freezes more quickly, but it's still sometimes.

I also tried the "repair your computer" option at startup.
    -System Restore does not help
-Memory Diagnostic is not a problem

Searching online, I found suggestions for select command prompt and try to chkdsk. My conclusions:
-chkdsk c: /f gives no indication of errors. The only thing that might be unusual is the following message at the end (translated from Dutch): "cannot transfer the log to the event log messages. Status 50. »
-chkdsk c: /r /f results in a blue screen, each time to the same point in the process, namely, the 4th stage (verification of the data of the file), after having transformed the 133 634 files. The blue screen that appears shows the following:

    -----
    QUOTE
A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
    (...)
    Technical information: * STOP: 0 x 00008086 (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
    WORDS
    -----

    * Things I have NOT tried (again): *.

-Execution of TOSHIBA hard drive recovery
    -Formatting the hard drive

Why not try these again is that I still have a glimmer of hope that he might be up to a corrupt file, and I don't want to use a gun if it turns out to be a mosquito.

I tried to look online for questions asked by people with problems and similar symptoms, but I find not only the case with some similarities, not exactly the same thing.

Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

    > Two days my computer froze all of a sudden for no apparent reason
Above all it s sign parts hardware problem as a module of memory or the motherboard can cause this.

    > Since it happened repeatedly, even in safe mode. A potential clue: runs chkdsk c: \r \f results in a blue screen.

The command chkdsk access and HARD drive tests so it could also be that the HARD drive is the troublemaker.

From my point of view, you should start the recovery and should set the device to the factory settings.
If the device would not work even after you have used the factory condition, I guess that one of the mentioned parts malfunctions.

  • Access ntuser.dat.log in NETWORK services folder refused even in safe MODE

I try to accessntuser.dat.log in the file services NETWORK even in safe MODE but not private.  I am logged in as ADMINISTRATOR.  I guess that's the case as well if I connected any other user?

I looked in the MGR TASK to try and identify what process this block, but I am at a loss.  Anyone know which circles I need to pass through power to life this file?

Guessing that you mean this file:

    c:\Documents and Settings\NetworkService

You cannot open the file because XP is running and the file is in use and the Task Manager will not help you indicate what (s) blocking process your effort to open the file (it is not what is the Task Manager for).

Sometimes, you can copy a file open and then open the copy, but it will not work with ntuser.dat.log and your efforts to access the file will give results like:

If you want to open the file, you can open a session under a different name and access the file of ntuser.dat.log of another user in this way (since the other user will not in use).

For example, if I am logged on as user ElderK I can't access my ntuser.dat.log file but I can access the file owned by another user as Jose in looking here:

    c:\Documents and Settings\Jose

Or, you can start on something like a Hiren Boot CD and access the file from there since your XP will not work.

I see no reason to watch the ntuser.dat.log file is binary data, then maybe you can tell us what you're trying to do and why (or you just practice).

  • How can I fix Vista freezing occurs regularly during the connection of 5 min post (even in safe mode)?

http://I'm under Vista Home Premium (Service Pack Friday updated last 01:00) on a Sony Vaio VGN-AR830e and there are only two users. I am quite experienced with error correction, but this one left me speechless: Mark my system of completely right on five minutes after the connection freezes every time I start up, even in Safe Mode. System entirely unresponsive and must be restarted by pressing the power button - no other keys will work. This question has been occurring every time I login since 15:00 yesterday. I figured I could have picked up Malware, but I cannot run any programs I normally use to diagnose in the five minute window - they start and freeze. I can, however, run in Mode safe mode with command prompt without the freeze, but I am limited in my knowledge of CMD coding, so I need instructions. I was able to run sfc/scannow... Report = Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to solve some of them. Details ate included in the CBS.log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log newspaper. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log I'm on this forum via iPhone, so forgive me for not being able to write more in detail. Thank you, Eric

    Hello Eric,

If the machine is running in safe with command prompt Mode, but no Mode without fail, my first thought would be that we conduct issues shell or a problem with Solution Explorer.

On the other hand, if we had these problems, I expect not boot in any mode for 5 minutes.

That being said, I'm going to recommend something that I hardly ever recommend.  Safe mode with command prompt, run a SFC/scannow.

More information can be found in the following article:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

If that fails, we will run some hardware diagnostics on the machine.  These will be provided by your manufacturer.

    Best regards

  • Firefox crashes at startup, even in safe mode

Firefox has just started to crash at startup, even in safe mode.

I also tried to create a new profile (which Firefox let me do), but it crashed as soon as I tried to use the new profile.

The only way I could get it to start is putting him to work offline, which is obviously not very useful.

Here are a few crash IDs:

    BP-d5fc34cb-2f6b-48CE-8327-ceb2c2151011
    BP-e2667a62-9301-414C-894e-bd5fc2151011

The last ID is for is the first crash I got, which didn't happen at startup.

Thanks for the tips. I still don't know what was wrong, but a restart of the computer has set.
