Cannot log on to my Satellite T130

I recently bought an opportunity T130 personal sales of our work. He was a customer return and allowed the log on password.
Unfortunately I don't have the password & contacting the customer turns tricky. I have all the documentation and the installation disk provided by Toshiba, but the T130 has no disk drive.

I don't know much about windows & Toshiba computers or so, my question is this: How can I get this computer to work for me?
I can boot into safe mode and change the log on details?
Any help would be appreciated.

Get the external optical drive USB drive and reinstall the operating system.
I put t see another possibility for you.

Password protection will be completely useless if anyone could change it in the trunk or any other mode.

  • Satellite T130 - cannot start the Toshiba HDD recovery

Hi all, I have a problem with my Satellite T130. I have to start the drive HARD Toshiba recovery but the computer tell me that is not a valid drive HARD recovery on the PC. It's probably a fault of my father. Is there another way to start the recovery?

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

How are you trying to start the HARD drive recovery process?

The full HARD drive recovery procedure is described here, so please check this article:

If it doesn't work your only option, you use the recovery media. Did you create this such as described in the user manual?

  • Satellite T130-15 t - cannot start, how do I back up my data?

    Hi all

before to explain my problem, sorry for my bad English, I'm french (lol).

So, I bought a Satellite T130-15 t in July 2010. I've never had a problem with, but yesterday, when I want to stop my Windows computer stopped without problems, but the computer does not stop (black screen and my computer never stopped). I push my "power" button a second time and it was good.

But after that, I couldn't boot my laptop (when I pressed my button, it has no effect). I disconnected my battery of my laptop and plugging it back in, after that I have to reconnect my screen become white (my computer was "switched off" and my screen has been "activated" and white). And I could not turn on my computer.
Given that my battery emptied and my screen turns off also.

    I have 2 questions:

    What is the problem?
I need a return to my Toshiba product?
I have in my data from the laptop I need absolutely.
How can I remove it without losing my Toshiba warrantly? Then I go to "authorized service center" that can extract my hard drive, copy of my data, and this without losing my warranty?

I hope that my message is understandable lol.
    Thank you very much.

    Hello

    > I need a return to my Toshiba product?
No, you can t back of your laptop. It s according to your country, but normally you only have 14 days to return. After that, it is not possible to s.

    > How can I retrieve it without losing my Toshiba warrantly? Then I go to "authorized service center" that can extract my hard drive, copy of my data, and this without losing my warranty?
If you go to an authorized service provider your laptop can be repaired for free time guaranteed. So you n t have to pay for the repair.

But backup your data are not covered by the warranty I think. So either you do it yourself or you ask the guy how much it will cost.

In General if your cell phone doesn't starts (without screen) HARD drive installation and Windows is not affected so after repair, it should be possible to access all of your data and start again.

  • Satellite T130 - need help after update for Windows 8

    Hello

    I use Satellite T130 Y9075161W serial number.

There is no support for windows 8 (especially the drivers).
It's very disappointing. In my case, I installed windows 8 and I have a few problems.

The touchpad is 'dead' and the shortcut as WHAT WLAN cannot be used anymore.
Are there users who have installed windows 8 on this system?

    Best regards
    aisakos

You are right. This old piece of hardware is not supported for Win8 and Toshiba offer not only any what Win8 driver, the tool and the utility. You shouldn't be disappointed. Toshiba and other manufacturers of portable does not offer support for all operating systems, especially for older models of laptops.

It can be very problematic to use newer OS on the old machine.
I can see it is fully supported for Win7 64 bit so I think it's the best OS for this little machine.

In any case, let's see if some other owners have little luck with Win8 installed.

  • Satellite T130-11 t - need to clean the D partition and increase partition C

    Hi all
This is my first post and Im not a grumpy so apologies in advance. Ive tried searching the Internet for help with this but cant get long, it is therefore proposed that post.

I have a Satellite T130-11 t which has 232 GB HDD. Setting it up as 2 drives, C and D with 116 GB on each. The C drive is complete, but its probably just photos / movies so I can solve that by copying the external hard disk, but the D drive is roughly the same.

Ive looked at the directory and under HDD recovery it is a subfolder called swing and inside are 8 x .srm extensions and 2 x crc files, are all of 2009.

Files take about 8Gb and I can't delete them as it says I should do so under SYSTEM - the operating system is in German so Im a little hesitant exaclty, what the problem is - and systemfile nervous deletion.

Drive D but has more than 90 GB of info - when I click on drive D in Windows Explorer, it does not at all look like, there are all large files it. Could there be some hidden files not seen Im?

Performance is very slow and I want to save or delete/reformat the drive D to drain - any ideas how to clean my D drive please and ideally reduce its size and move some of the allocation of memory on the C drive without losing my data already on C?

I understand forums that the HARD drive is a recovery file, but should take only about 10 GB cannot so I a C of say 200 GB and 30 GB on D drive?

Yet once I don't want to corrupt or lose all data already C

Also when I start it, a message informs you that there are missing files in the directorym LOCAL smply disappeared.

    Thanks in advance

    MArk

My first question is: did you create a recovery (DVD or USB) media? If Yes, you can use this media for any new OS install when you want. With other words, you can delete all the partition recovery D if you want, but in my opinion you should not do this. If these recovery files are still there you will also be able to use the HARD drive recovery facility.

    > Drive C is full, but its probably a few photos / movies so I can solve that by copying on the external hard drive...
    Fix.
    >.. but the D drive is substantially the same. Ive looked at the directory and under HDD recovery it is a subfolder called swing and inside are 8 x .srm extensions and 2 x crc files, are all of 2009.
This file belongs to the original recovery image. More or less 10GB isn't a big deal. Leave it as it is.
    > Could it be Im not see hidden files?
It is not easy to say, because we do not know how your laptop is configured and what files should be saved on the D partition. What you can try is to open the control panel > folder options > view > and check for hidden files and folders. Choose the option Show hidden... files and check again the D partition.
    > Also when I start it, a message informs you that there are missing files in the directorym LOCAL smply disappeared.
In my opinion, nothing can simply disappeared.
I think you should check them all, back up all of your important and after data makes this OS install using original recovery image. After that do you have own OS preinstalled, portable will have better performance and also, I think that you will be happy again.

  • Satellite T130 - 12G - crazy touchpad

    Hi all

My brand new Satellite T130 12 G works well except the touchpad who goes mad after a few minutes of use... Anyone have the same problem?

I uninstalled the synaptic driver, but still the same after 5 minutes...
For example, the behavior is as follows: the arrow up and down when I go to the top...

Cannot move left or right or what works, it is out of control...

    If anyone can help
    Thank you
    Baloo

    Hello

Have you noticed the same external USB or using only the touchpad mouse?
    What about BIOS?
Do you use the last being?

If this isn't the case, then I recommend that you update the BIOS!

Of course such behavior of touchpad could be related to a hardware problem, so if nothing works, you should communicate with an ASP.

  • Satellite T130-16w does not always

Satellite T130-16w, more often than otherwise it does not.
Is it far from solving this.

Someone has looked at and said it's battery if it was he would not charge at all.
Could there be an error in the connection?

    Hello

It of difficult to tell if it s just one problem of battery or perhaps more serious hardware problems.

But I think that the battery needs to be checked at the first step.
You must also remove the battery and must run the laptop connected only to the power adapter.
The unit should work fine without a battery.

The point is that there's not much other option that requires a check if its not the battery or AC adapter problem, then probably the motherboard is affected

  • Integrated on my Satellite T130 webcam does not work

    Hi all

the built-in on my Satellite T130 webcam does not work.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium and already reinstalled the drivers of webcam 64-bit through this Web site. However, when I click on the webcam application, simply, nothing happens - program doesn't open at all or turn off instantly. Skype is not also acknowledge a cam. In addition, there is no webcam in Device Manager (a not detected USB device however) and no symbol of cam in the Ribbon of Toshiba quicklaunch, which is like the camera is started according to the "manual".

Someone has an idea what is the problem? Looks like a common problem according to Google, but no suggestions other than to reinstall the drivers. Perhaps another application blocking the camera? Firewall settings?

I'd appreciate any help, thank you.

    Best regards Florian

    > a USB not detected if

Maybe it's the webcam from the webcam is connected to the internal USB controller on the motherboard.

It looks like a webcam driver is not installed correctly.
Try the webcam driver released for the satellite t230 or other series of satellites.
    Versions are newer

Also recommend that you check the BIOS settings.
In some cases, the BIOS contains a webcam option where the webcam can be turned on and off.

  • Satellite T130-11U - webcam showing an image rather than broadcast

    Hello

Just got this new laptop Satellite T130-11U, and I can't use webcam.
I tried to set up with the sidebar of toshiba and also with live messenger or Skype with no result.
The webcam is always a picture of a beautiful coast with a laguna of broadcasting.

This is quite annoying, I don't know where ths picture is checked out, and if I use Skype, live messenger or record videos with the sidebar of toshiba utility, I always get the same result.

    Thanks for your help

    Hello

That s really strange and I've never heard t such a question. Since I have my laptop the webcam still works correctly.

Anyway, in your case I would try reinstalling the webcam on the Toshiba site drive:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

But before installing the latest version I recommend to first remove the old. ;)

  • Satellite T130-16w shortened wireless keyboard no longer works

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Toshiba Satellite T130-16w Windows 7

Several months ago, I deleted some of the bloatware factory on my laptop because of the downturn. I checked that all was not necessary before deleting, I think I might have made a mistake. Since then, I have used mobile internet. Today I came to turn on the wireless function + F8 key does is nothing more. The small menu without wireless/bluetooth does not appear. Without wire is currently disabled and I can't get it there.

Wireless is enabled in the BIOS. In Device Manager, it appears under the name of work and active. The computer is by all means put in place to use it, I can't get the key to do something, so I can't activate it. Oddly, I turn bluetooth on and off separately, but not wireless.

I updated the driver for the wireless, but the driver of the shortcut key is not anywhere on the site. I tried searching it elsewhere but he couldn't find for windows 7. Can I use the XP one, or the one of a different model of Toshiba? The T130 section just not return results.

It sounds like the shortcut key is the question? Does anyone know where I could find the driver? Is it possible to turn on the wireless without using the function key (there is no switch)? As through windows? I have been trying to unravel for 4 hours and got nowhere.

    Thanks for reading.

    Hello

Win 7 requires Toshiba VAP (value added) installation for FN keys work.
Visit the page of the Toshiba UE driver and you can find the VAP for Win 7 64 bit

If you need the PPV for Win 7 32 bit, choose another series of the laptop and use the VAP released an another laptop.
The VAP is not in the laptop series.

  • Satellite T130 - 10G: Firefox does not read any video or flash content more

My Firefox does not read any video or flash content more. And in watching the news of repair troubleshooting/malfunction in Firefox under graphics, he said that "Direct2D activated" and 'WebGL Renderer' have been blocked because of the version of the graphics driver.

I downloaded a new version on the Toshiba site, but an update of the driver can not find the new version.
I had briefly solved the problem by installing the new driver from the file but it is not recognized in Device Manager.

Automatic update through Windows just tells me that the driver is up-to-date.
    I have the Satellite T130 - 10G.

Would be great if someone could help.

    Thank you!

Hmmmm... as you know Toshiba doesn't support third party software so I think that your question has nothing to do with Toshiba directly.

You find the same content with other browsers?

  • Satellite T130 - HDMI display does not

    Hello

I'm trying to view my Toshiba Satellite T130 on my Toshiba 32 '' LCD TV, model 32BV702B, using an HDMI cable. The computer recognizes the TV and when you use desktop double or extended, the builtin laptop screen behaves as expected. However, the TV shows "No Signal" when the HDMI input is selected.

We have another laptop with an HDMI output, and this configuration works very well. On two laptops, we use a 1366 x 768 display.

Anyone know how I can get this working on the Toshiba laptop?

    Thank you.
    Ellie.

(P.S. It seems that someone had a similar problem: [http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=205123]. In this case, the solution was to use a VGA instead of HDMI cable and the original problem has not been resolved. I really want to use my HDMI cable!

Well, the other option attempts to retrieve the laptop using the HARD drive recovery or a recovery created with preinstalled Toshiba Recovery creator software image.

I read that the other thread and the other user did not try this
On the other hand, you can try to set the default BIOS and save the changes. Do not forget that the HDMI is it activated.

    Also, try this:
Disconnect the battery and AC adapter
Wait a few hours (3-4 hours) and then press the power button / stop for 30 seconds.
Connect the two parts, and then test the laptop computer s HDMI.

  • Satellite T130-screen black-HDMI works perfectly

The problem started as an HDMI cable is plugged on my Satellite T130-17F operation and the display was closed. That point laptop screen no longer works. When starting windows logo start is enabled for a few seconds, just before the entrance to the office, the cursor is visible on the screen. But except for those brief moments there is no action on the screen of laptop computers. When I reinstalled the driver for the graphics card there was times short (less than 0.5 sec) when the screen was active.

I can use the laptop without any problems via HDMI to my TV. And when I adjust the brightness of the screen (FN + F6/F7) the black can get more back-lit.

When I disable the HDMI output or plugs out - nothing happens on the screen of laptop computers.

Some of you can please help me out because I really need my phone to work normal again. If you can help me solve this problem, I'll be very grateful-

    Kind regards
    Jacob Lindberg

    Hello Jacob

Start your laptop with an HDMI cable and wait until windows has finished loading. When you see the desktop on the TV use the FN + F5 key combination and tilt the back of the LCD screen.

    Can you do this?
    It work?
