Cannot perform a system recovery

Hello

Model: HP Slpit 13 x 2 PC

Product: E8C34UA #ABA

Operating system: Windows 8 64-bit

It is still covered by the warranty.

My problem:

A month ago (maybe a little more) my machine automatically did an update and after it was complete, I was able to get the sign in screen but once I signed the I had nothing but a black screen and my cursor. I could not pull up the Task Manager or perform all functions. I was able to restore my computer to an earlier date and used again for about a week before the update is represented and exactly the same thing happened. The second time around I don't have restore points that were before the update for a system restore is absolutely not good. I started in safe mode and tried to make a start clean to see if something can have prevented the update to fill in correctly but not luck.

I then tried a system restore and it didn't, I don't remember what he said about why she didn't but now all this when I start it is made choose me a keyboard layout, and then choose an option between "continues; Exit and proceed to HP Recovery Manager"'Use of a device'"Use another operating system""Troubleshoot"and"turn off your PC."

It won't let me even start the machine.

I fixed it.

Chose the option "Troubleshooting" and then choose "reset your PC.

Now it's like factory settings when I bought originally that's what I was looking for. Now, the only problem is that I can't use my keyboard. I'll get a driver.

  • Split 13 x 2 PCs 13-m110dx: cannot perform the system recovery using a USB flash drive

I just bought a Split 13 x 2 13-m110dx PC that came with Windows 8. I have upgraded the OS to 8.1 and made a copy of the recovery Partition using a USB flash drive, and deleted the recovery of the PC disk that I learned that I could do. However, when I tried to retrieve OEM provided using the USB flash drive by following the directions at creation and use of a recovery of Microsoft USB drive (Windows 8) "System Recovery" was not available to the title of "troubleshooting." I tried to tell it to boot from the USB, but it askes me to insert the support of windows or other media, but rejects the flash player. What do I do now because I have not all discs?

  • Cannot perform a system recovery option "repair your computer".

I have an ADVENT PC with preinstalled vista. I had problems with my computer and it won't start in safe mode. I really want to do a destructive recovery of the entire system, but my computer won't let me even do.

I start my computer and press F8. I select "repair your computer". At this point, according to my vista manual, I should get a selection menu language and the "Microsoft Windows start repair Environment. Instead, I get the windows logo, and then the log in screen. But instead of the usual choice of two user accounts, I have one option "Other user" very boring, with user name and password required. I tried my regular username and password, but it does not work. It says invalid or unable to connect at this time.

So what's happening? Is there a way I can get into the system recovery options?

Thank you, but finally I solved this problem by using a DVD I had been recommended to do when I got the recovery computer.

  • HP G62 371DX: help! Can not perform the system recovery

    HP G62-371DX
A few months ago that my HP laptop was very slow, then crashed. I have factory reinstall using disks that I have ordered or purchased from HP. It was a time of recovery the first successful I used the recovery disks and after days of updates of the VICTORY, even was running Win 10, without a hiccup. Then, I received a few messages on the hard disk health and prominent failure. I decided to upgrade the laptop by buying a new battery and a HARD drive. When I tried to use system recovery discs to reinstall Windows 7 to factory State, it failed with an error:

    Copy the file fails
    From: F: \PRELOAD\BASE11. WIM
    TO: C: \RM\IMAGE| COMMODITIES11. WIM
    PRESS OK TO RETRY

"" He then reloads the "Windows prepares your computer for first use" MORE AND MORE. Could there be something wrong with the recovery discs?

    Hello

You can try to see if the problem is with the recovery disks, would be to see if you can perform a new installation of Windows 10.

As you mention that you recently update from Windows 7 to Windows 10, a hardware profile on your machine will be recorded by the activation servers

Therefore, as long as the previous installation of Windows 10 had activated Ok after the upgrade to Windows 7, you can simply create the 10 Windows media on another PC and then perform a new installation as described in the guide on the following link.

Note: On the activation screen, select "I don't have a product key" - Windows will activate automatically once installation is complete.

  • How can I perform a system recovery to get all lost data.

I need help in performing a full recovery of the system to recover lost files and data.

    DavysLocker,
Thanks for posting with us.  The only way to recover the lost data is if you have the backup of your system.  The system restore feature does not have the personal data.  If you use the Windows backup utility to back up your data, then you will just run the troubleshooter, and then follow the steps to restore data.
If you do not have a backup of your system, then you can check with the local PC stores on data recovery.  Also, there are available data recovery programs but I don't know how they work although I've never used one. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

  • Cannot access the System Recovery Console invalid password

System Recovery Console insists that I use a "invalid password". I installed Win7. I make a written record of all used passwords so I'm sure I know the password I put in the first place; It is a simple word, that I always use for low security situations.  However, I tried all variants of logics of this password (upper and lower case, etc.), but nothing works.  I loaded 'ophcrack LiveCD' and found that the password is .  I tried to use no password and this also fails.

What can I do to pass in addition to "invalid password" so I can't enter the System Recovery Console?

    Thank you.

    Hey Ron,.

I finally got some time to focus on this and learned something that could explain the difficulties you encounter!

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-happened-to-the-recovery-console

It seems that the Recovery Console has been taken from Windows Vista (and 7). Personally I did not know this, but then again I don't use it every day! :) So in short, it is not designed to work with Windows 7, and this issue is the result of this.

Sorry it took me so long to find! I hope that answers your question!

    Hi Cyber_Punk,

    Thanks for the reply.

Please click on the link mentioned below to make sure that you try to run PC Restore correctly:

    http://Dell.to/Wj1rZe

NOTE: The PC Restore will remove the applications and data in the system.

If the PC Restore does not work, you can perform the re-installation of windows by using the system shipped with the system disk operating system.

  • All of a sudden, I cannot perform a system restore, cannot not to activate the 'sleep', cannot conduct an audit of the disc.

This all started in the last 2 weeks. Have cleaned the registry with CCleaner and Wise Registry cleaner. Have scanned my system with
AVG free, free MalwareBytes, SuperAntispyware free, Spybot Search and Destroy, Windows Defender and the free analysis tool from Microsoft. Nothing untoward was found. My computer is almost 5 years old HP Pavilion tx 2000 32 bits. Also, after a few minutes, with each new page that I opened, my chrome browser always opens a new tab and my mouse, instead of scrolling up and down, it zoomed in my window larger or smaller size.

    Hi TedDyjas,

Thanks for posting your question in the community of Microsoft Windows.

From descriptions of the question, it seems that you are unable to run the system restore, you can not activate the 'sleep'.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I'll help you fix the problem.

To help you suggest several steps to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following question:

    1. you receive an error code or message?

    2. have you made any recent hardware or exchange of software on your computer before the show?

There may be third-party software conflict with the computer, and to solve it, perform the steps below to correct and solve the problem.

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

You can try to start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers.

Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

Start your computer in safe mode:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

If the problem does not persist in safe mode, then follow the next step.

    Step 2:

You need to perform a clean boot to prevent any third party conflicting application from interfering with your computer.

To put the computer in a clean boot state, you must follow the steps in the article mentioned below and check with the question.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to start your computer in normal mode by following these steps.

    a. click on start toreduce this includes this image, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press Enter.Collapse this includes this image

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, you must type the password or click continue.

    b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

    c. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

    Method 2:

Scan your computer by using the Microsoft Safety Scanner by clicking Download now to check if there is no virus infected:

    http://www.microsoftsafetyscanner.com/

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

I hope that the information above helps you.

Your response is very important for us to ensure a proper resolution.

In the future if you fall on any question relating to Windows, please do not hesitate to post your request here on Microsoft Community, we will be more than happy to help you.

  • When you perform a system recovery - it removes all partitions created?

    Model number: HP Pavilion p6795

I'm looking to do a system restore to return my system to the default settings. I usually share my records in particular, D: data separate operating system and program files.

Could you please confirm it removes all partitions created on the main hard drive (for example, the D: drive) data?

  • NB500 - I can't do the system recovery

    Hello

    I got a nb500 Windows 7 starter and I cannot do a system recovery out-of-the-box.

I tried "press 0 and power", the pc starts, but as long as I continue to press 0 nothing happens. When I release, it will continue to boot normally into windows. Also tried with f8, I can see the system recovery options, but there is no tool for HARD drive recovery there. I also used a toshiba recovery media Creator called program but when I start, it displays a message «there is no area of hard drive recovery»

    Any suggestions please?

For some reason any there there no initial access to the recovery image.

Either it is deleted or the partitions of HARD drive structure is changed and recovery tool cannot find the settings for the recovery image.
Now, you have little problem. Recovery image installation will not work.

    You have two options:
1 / you can try to install recovery disc original order of Toshiba - https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
2 / you can install own OS version

All readers, tools and utilities, you can find and download from the Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

  • Yoga 2 Pro full system recovery

    Hello

I am new user of Lenovo, I so want to just ask about the full recovery of the system.

Which partitions I need to perform full system recovery?

Is nothing else than the needed fresh start recovery partition?

Yes, I want to install Linux, but some manufacturers recovery systems boot using Grub/Grub2 recovery, if you have just the recovery partition.

Perhaps the best way is to use example dd and dump content of whole disk (data + partitions) exactly as it is on a different drive, then I could restore later using the same method and everything should work, as now.
