  Looks like Yes, you remove normal documents. I ran a few tests on my printer ready 7640 want and he knows the size of the photo paper, that I put (from the screen of the printer), but ONLY 4 x 6 prints.

  Hello.  Have a HP Photosmart Plus B210a.  I just intalled the printer on my computer and it will not print pictures on paper in the photo tray.  I have good info paper game and the only time where he printed the photo paper is when the HP technical support sent a test photo to the email address of the printer.  My OS is Windows 7 Home premium 64B.  The connection of the printer is wireless.   I've uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software already and still nothing.  Any help is appreciated as sucks online support and phone buddies hard to get on the line!

  (Pigmented) black ink is not compatible with the media of photography and color cartrdige (s) is used for printing on photo paper.  You have an installed color cartridge?  There ink?  What model is your printer?

  The color radio button to use the black cartridge is grayed out if you choose to print in grayscale. If the color cartridge is empty, you cannot print in grayscale on photo paper. It allows you to print in grayscale on plain paper.

  In other words, that it is making me use the color cartridge for printing in grayscale on photo paper. It doesn't look good for me.

  Well Yes, that's right.  The ink in the black cartridge is an ink pigment (about particles of carbon suspended in the solution) and cannot be absorbed by the photo paper.  The ink in the color cartridge is dye based (like dye food) and is absorbed by the coating on photo paper.  That is why all the printing with black cartridge is denied when using photo paper.

  Pigmented ink is used in the black cartridge to produce the beautiful crisp text on plain paper.  There are HP printers with cartridges 'Photo Black' which are ink to dye black which can be used on photo paper.  These printers also have a black text in another cartridge which is a pigmented ink.

  I have a brand new printer Officejet 100 (just out of the box today) and I am trying to print photos from my Canon Rebel T5, which is connected by usb to the printer.

  I loaded the plain printer paper in the tray and the pictures printed without problem. When I try the same steps with the matte photo paper, the printer is flashing with an error of paper, and the camera screen says no paper is located.

  Photo paper I use is the mark Staples, 8-1/2 x 11 inches and 230 g/m (61lb), which weighs less than the recommended 250 g/m2 (66 lb) on the site of hp - http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c02623030

  This printer works only with HP photo paper, or have I missed a step somewhere along the way?

• HP C309g: Problems printing with photo paper and not A4 paper

  My HP 309 g perfectly print a picture on A4 paper without flaws. However, whenever it prints the exact image even on HP Premium Plus photo paper, the colors are weird - not black, but the yellow blues and roses. I removed the print head and carefully cleaned and aligned the printer nothing helps. Verification of diagnosis HP shows no failure at all. The obvious flaw must be with the photo paper, but I am not convinced that this is the real problem. Can someone help with this really weird problem please?

  I would normally be with you that photo paper would be at fault, but as HP paper, it should be good. I realize, this may be irrelevant, but make sure that you load the face of photo paper (print side) down so that it prints on the right side of the paper.

  If you load it properly however, which I am sure you are, I suggest that you try the steps in this document to solve the problems of quality Print to the HP Photosmart Premium all-in-One Printer Series (C309) .

  I have photos saved on my computer.  When I try to print one, the picture come out on printer paper, photo paper, I installed.  I lost so much ink to try to understand this point, and I'm sure it's probably a simple thing that I do not. Can anyone help?

  I checked to make sure that I was connected to the correct computer with HP advanced chosen paper and photo tray

  Click devices and printers.

  Right-click on the 7510 & select printer properties.

  Click device settings.

  Make sure that the Photo Tray is available.

  I'm sorry to hear that the update of the firmware is also a failure for you. Make sure that you have not any "paper" or "paper jam" message on the screen when you try to send the firmware. If all goes well on the printer when you try to send the firmware, it sounds like something may be altered in your printers of programming.

  At this point, I will send you a private message with a special printer resets in it. I suggest that you check your private messages and cross the reset, I'll provide you with. After you run the reset don't forget to display the result of zeroing in this thread and not in the private message that our troubleshooting steps may be useful to other users of the Forums of HP's Support.

  Fine thank you. What the third step: select a superior printing quality and seven step: run the automatic utility to clean the print head, have you tried these suggestions? Although you can print on standard photo paper, the steps may help.

  Also, have you tried different photo paper coincidentally? I know, it seems not likely the root cause is the paper, but has given all this we tried, it might be a good next step to venture.

  I have Premium, matte, bright & Brochure paper Glossy Photo - HP makes a lot of types of Photo paper I could use them?  Since then, he does not say Laser or inkjet on the box.

  Because the printer does not have the paper, I would recommend to try the steps listed in the document below. You can start to "Solution 2: adjust paper settings in the print driver.
