  The dbx file system is very fragile and also prone to corruption. By creating new identities, each single dbx file is new. Which have been the cause of the problem could have been determined by their replacement one at a time, bur which would have been a lot more time and a new identity is deeper.

  If you comply with security measures, you are much less likely to have this kind of problem in the future.

  2. click on Tools and select Internet Options.

  3 click on LAN settings.

  4 select automatically detect connection settings.

  6 uncheck check the CRL.

  7 click ok and apply.

  Since May 4, I was unable to read Hotmail emails in Firefox, I had to download Google Chrome just to read emails (yuck!) Before May 4, everything was fine. Now, I get the page frame, i.e. the part that said Hotmail to the top my list of Email subfolders to the bottom of the left side and the text of Microsoft on the bottom. The central area, which must contain the text of the may E real (and graphics of course if there is) is empty. I tried clear the cache and history, clear cookies, just like that, no joy.

  What has been the change suddenly from Hotmail, which has caused this? It is NOT a change in Firefox that I have not changed my version and it worked perfectly until today, may 4.

  If your alias are separate and distinct accounts, then you must configure each in Thunderbird.

  If they match somehow on 'real' one account then perhaps you can configure them as identities; Look for your main account settings page the button manage identities.

  After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.
   
  Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.
   
  Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes.
