  Blocks of gray, full browser width, have suddenly appeared on my site. I'm unable to select these blocks and therefore cannot remove them. They are repeated at intervals to the bottom of a page Web site. The gray stripes appear also from the ravages of playing with the filled boxes and whites of browser are filling must be.  Attached are jpg showing site with and without filling of browser.  Interestedly gray blocks do not appear when displayed in a browser, but the browser fill is intermittent, see link to the site. I'm the only user on my PC and I tried to uninstall it and using programs of cleaner files but to no avail. I'm afraid that it changes my files and folders because it has permissions to modify files and every time I have to refuse permissions that they reset. I also noticed various system files in good areas. Any help would be great thanks in advance.

  I tried everything above, but ultimately I came short. Instead, I saved my precious files and then restore my computer to factory settings. It seems to have worked, but it was a lot of effort, unfortunately I forgot my log in then it will have to do.

  I tried a rm without success:

  The virtual machine is more listed in VCentre (I tried to delete data store manager), I believe that files can be locked for a reason, but I don't know enough to determine whether it is safe to kill the s pid which seem to use the folder:

  I can kill these processes? I have not the option to restart the server.

  You can restart the services... There will be no impact to the VMS running... also try to restart VMware vCenter services (services.msc)

  If the above does not work, then restart the host seems to be the fastest and the most secure option.

• Cannot remove Datastore ESX 3.5

  Hi ESX veterans.

  I am a novice using ESX, and lately I just install ESX on a new Dell server, with 6 x 450 GB configured in a Raid 5 environment. I realized that once the ESX is complete, and VI client infrastructure is installed, there will be a default data store created using all available space with a block size of 1 MB.  In the latest installation of couple on older servers (which worked well), I simply remove the data store and to recreate another large block data store, so I can do a greater volume to install my OS.  But this time, I get this error:

  Configuring the host error: DestroyVmfsDatastore: cannot remove partition 2 on lun vmhba1:0:0

  I tried looked up the forums, but none seemed suggestion a resolution in my case.  (perhaps of persons using a SAN... etc, but the mine are internal HD from the server).  Some said that to do a re-scan, some have said go to maintenance mode, some said re - install all the ESX Server, which I've tried all.  But just can not remove this data store.  Acutally, I have not "mind leaving this one data store, as long as I can create a volume larger than 256 GB it contains.  Can anyone give me any suggestions?  Thank you.

  Hello Wingchan,

  I don't think so that you can delete the partition your ESX Server, which is the more necessary to partition VMFS. You can delete when you have several stored VMFS mounted on your ESX. I'm assuming that the... but not sure.

  However, since you have to change the size of the block. You can try the VMFSKTOOLS command to change the size of the block. Remember that you will lose all the systems of comments that uses this data store. Please move them to the secure location if necessary.

  When I configure Thunderbird to connect to my Alpine Webmail, I had to rearrange my folders. Cannot remove a folder titled "mail" because according to TB "there is no such mailbox" but still shows on the tab my folders. I read through the previous discussions and have tried to unsubscribe the ghost folder, but that did not work or the other. I have a Mac OSX if this affects what it is. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you.

  Hello world. I solved the problem... somehow. By removing the account of Treasury Board and put in place again, TB has been able to sync with the files that were on Alpine. The ghost folder still presented (despite not existing not not on the Alpine site), but by changing the directory to the IMAP server of "mail" to "mailbox" the ghost folder disappeared. I found myself with records who have been named oddly (most likely due to the change of the name of directory) so when I changed the IMAP server directory to "mail" it reset my files with the way they were, with the exception of the ghost folder, that was no longer there. I'm not entirely sure why it worked, but in case someone else has a similar problem, I recommend to give it a try.

• Vista Business 64 running Lightroom 2.0 cannot remove the FreeAgent Go USB external disk images

  I use an external drive FreeAgent Go USB for image storage. I have a XP machine who has no problem using Adobe Lightroom 2.0 for the deletion of images in the reader.  When I use my laptop with Vista Business 64 and run the same scenario with Lightroom to remove images, I don't want to, I get an error that does not allow me to delete.  I can download them to the desktop from the laptop and I'll be able to delete them then, but not directly from the external hard drive.  Is there a way I can do this using my Vista based computer laptop, or what I always switch the drive to my XP to achieve?  Thanks for your help.

  This error message only your getting EXACTLY (Word for Word)?  Have you checked the Vista Compatibility Center to make sure that Lightroom 2.0 and the FReeAgent Go USB drive are compatible with 64-bit Vista http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/Search.aspx?type=Hardware&s=FreeAgnet%20Go&page=2.  I could find several FreeAgent Go drives (I'm not sure you have) and all I saw were compatible, but I couldn't find Lightroom 2.0 (so maybe that's the problem - simply because that isn't on the list doesn't mean it is not compatible - only that is has not been tested and that often means it can be a problem).

  Have your tried using the standard Windows Explorer to erase the images of the player?  That work, or is it a problem there too?  If Windows Explorer cannot delete images, then try to use one of the following free products to remove the file/folder.  Unlocker to: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml or file Assassin http://www.malwarebytes.org/fileassassin.php (with or without forcing the deletion: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/27/force-delete-cannot-delete-locked-or-in-used-files-or-folders-with-fileassassin/). • Cannot remove \windows\system32\%APPDATA%

  Somehow, I have a directory called c:\windows\system32\%APPDATA%.

  Now, I get various errors of various different programs, saying that they cannot access %AppData%.

  I checked the registry and key AppData is correctly pointing to c:\users\chris\AppData\Roaming

  I can only assume that being \windows\system32 in %path% then the machine looks like \windows\system32\%APPDATA% rather than increase %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto in the correct path.

  I guess that this will be solved if I can delete the system32\%APPDATA% directory, but I can't.  rmdir will not work because rmdir he thinks there are files, del believes it is not all the files it.  Windows Explorer cannot delete or rename it no more.

• Windows 7, cannot remove the burn files after back to the top

  I have a 64 bit Windows 7 laptop. A year ago I started a return upwards to put on a disc. The backup failed at the time because I ran out of records to put on (had no idea that it would take as much!).

  Since then I tried to delete these temporary burn files from the F drive, but every time I click on the option, it breaks down and wrote files are used by another program. I went through and individually deleted most of them, but I still have a few huge to get the judgment and cannot remove the program (86), or on the desktop to the top, mean that they are used by another program.

  I burned a CD of all these left during the backup of files and that worked, but the files are still sitting in my drive F, I still can't delete the temporary versions... its taking a lot of space and I got the bsod a couple of times.

  I also tried folder in the start menu and delete the temporary files in this way, but it did not result in the F drive.

  I tried to rename the temporary files so that I could remove them too, but not to chance it.

  I have disc clean up all the time, this doesn't always help with the F drive.

  Your opinion would be appreciated!

  I'm emptying all trustpoints on my ASA to reconfigure the phone ASA-proxy. However, I can't delete the file asdm_CTL_File ctl.
