  I bought a new laptop from toshiba with windows 7 comes with a lot of bloatware.
  I am trying to delete it all, but I can't get rid of this series of very annoying 'place' on the desktop.

  I deleted the program using Add/Remove programs.
  the desktop icons remain.
  When I double click on one it says application not found.

  Thank you for your response. I had ran several different scans & did the system restore... It turns out it was my wireless mouse. Replaced the mouse & everything will work as before.
