Cannot return in Google search engine

I just restarted Firefox after a crash and now the search engine is set on Yahoo and I can't find a way back to Google. I've been hacked? Mozilla do that for me?

Thanks much for the reply. I'm sure I've tried all of this. After several weeks of crashes, hogging massive memory, futzing endless, given my settings changed by updates, this proved be the drop of water and I migrated to Chrome.

We had a good race, FF. All the best.

  • When you click the back button in Internet Explorer, I went back to the same page, I am already on. Problem seen in Google search engine.

Problem seen in Google search engine.

I used Google for years without problems - I work from home as a freelance journalist.  But this last few days, if I search for something on Google from IE and click on a result, I can get the page I want upward.  But then, if I want to go back to the same Google search page to check the other results, I can't go back by clicking on the button 'back' at the top left, as I always did.  If I click it, it just keeps returning me to the page I'm already.  I find no mention anywhere using this problem or any means to remedy.  If I have the cursor hover over the arrow bak, the address of the current page appears rather than the original Google search page, so there is obviously something wrong.

    Thank you

  • How can I change instead of change from Bing to Google search engine?

    Hello

I want to ask you about customizing the search engine, instead of default search engine as Bing change the google search engine? either way, I'm using Firefox 8.0.

    Thank you

When you get to the options, you should see bing in the menu. Highlight bing and type google.com and ok on the bottom then it should replace bing. If you can't find the Tools option go up and do a right click and menu check mark to display the toolbar.

  • In the google search engine lack of research (and other) bar

A number of search engines have disappeared. I guess I can add those that I added in the past, but Google is missing and I don't know how to add.

Try to restore default search engines by selecting "Manage search engines" in the drop-down list beside the search on the address and then bar by clicking on "Restore Defaults", it will attempt to restore the default value of Google search engine to the list. You should now be able to choose Google as search engine, even if it can remove those that you added previously.

  • How do to block the Google search engine returns the results of the advertising?

I use currently Google as my search engine, and whenever I use it I get a rash of crap advertising unwanted at the head (top) of the search results. I know that I can update my preferences 'interests' in Google for 'target' ads, but I want to get rid of these pesky nuisances altogether.

Anyone got any suggestions outside of switch to a different search engine?

    Thank you

Adblock Plus removes these ads. However, you must open its settings and both make sure that you are subscribed to a filter (simple list, that's what I use) and uncheck the "allow non intrusive advertisements.

  • Cannot change my Yahoo to Google search engine.

    Hi all.

I have a Macbook Air, mid-2013, running OS X 10.11 (el capitan). Whenever I'm meeting in (9.0.3) Safari preferences to change the default search engine, the browser never made the change from Yahoo to Google. 'Google' appears clearly as my selection in the menu dropdown. I have not tried anything after that. Any pragmatic solution would be useful. Thank you

    1. Disable Extensions and test them.

    Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Select extensions, uncheck 'Enable the Extension' and test.

Enable the Extensions one by one and test.

To uninstall any extension, select it and click the "Uninstall" button

    2 safari > Preferences > Search > search engine:

    Select your preferred search engine.

  • For some reason any ASK became my main search engine for FIREFOX on FIREFOX start page how can I find my GOOGLE search engine

For some reason to ASK is become my search engine for the main home page of Firefox search bar, I want to return my search engine on Google. How is that possible?

This looks like a problem maybe caused by adware on your pc (oracle is group the ask toolbar in its critical security updates if you don't mind a disselect for example).

Please go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, the things that you have not installed intentionally, I don't know what purpose they serve, etc.). also go to Control Panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there.
Remove a toolbar that has supported your Firefox or the homepage search

then install the reset search addon - he'll come back more often customizations make these adware programs in default firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/
