  • Cannot run programs or restore Windows - error not able to detect options or environment variables

    original title: HELP!

My netbook has changed, windows is no longer genuine, I can't run the tasks, restoring, recovering, absolutely nothing, not even download any help whatsoever.  I need help, I don't know if I was in charge by another entity, a virus or what, but I was totally disabled.  I can always get on line and access basic information about my computer.  An error message that comes up often is "not being able to detect options or environment variables.  In my view, that it is a virus that has locked all forms of assistance and recovery.   What can I do?   Help

also I can't turn on my firewall and my current antivirus says that everything is ok.  It is not the case.  This problem started when a website popped up and said that I had been infected that I have to pay and download their program to save my computer.  This program would go not far, my current antivirus, locking and it kept popping up again and again until finally I ended up with a green background and disabled the system.

This problem started when a website popped up and said that I had been infected that I have to pay and download their program to save my computer.

You can also communicate with the gateway and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

It should be a small cost involved.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

  • Win 7: incrementing error backup and restore previous "Windows backup has not been implemented" and that "Windows cannot find a backup for this computer".

    * - Title original - Win 7: incrementing previous backup and restore

Last week, I did a "backup and recovery" on my Win 7 64 bit computer, create a folder WindowsImageBackup 118 GB on an external HARD drive.

I like incremental backup the same material on a base weekly, I tried to do the first incremental backup this morning.
However, my "Backup and Restore" menu control configuration\systeme and securite\ tells me that "Windows backup was not put in place" and that "Windows cannot find a backup for this computer", even if the external HARD disk is attached and recognized.
How can I set B R & to realize progressively the same backup that I did last week?  I don't want the schedule to run regularly, but will do it manually.

  • Vista backup error: cannot run the RPC. (0x800706BE)

Hey there, I have a question about windows vista. I'm doing a backup of my system. In the end, I get an error saying: "cannot save settings to schedule automatic backup for the following reason: cannot run the CPP." (0x800706BE).

However, I don't want to schedule an automatic backup. I want to make a single backup. I tried to change this in windows Task Scheduler, but I can't because the WindowsBackup folder is not listed. Probably because there is no backups on demand. But I can't schedule backups since I get an error at the end. So the WindowsBackup folder does not appear and I can't change the settings. Someone knows how to fix this?

To be clear, I want to make one backup of my system.

When I go to services.msc and scroll down to the remote procedure call and watch 'Status' it says 'Started' or 'Released' (not sure since I have a Dutch version of Vista).

Also, windows backup is not calculating the number of necessary for the backup dvd.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the help. But Vista gave me more problems, not just this one. A few days ago, I decided to upgrade to Windows 7. Problem solved.

  • Cannot run the Windows backup utility, error: "a file already exists (0X800700B7)."

I have a Lenovo Think Pad with Windows Vista.  When I try to back up the computer, I choose backup and the location of tools accessory system configuration.  Then I run a backup to start and identify a DVD RW as the location of the backup files.  I click to start and a screen pops up saying

A file exists already (0X800700B7), and at this time it cannot be saved.

OX800700B7 is not a file name. It is an error code.

What follows is a response to the same problem. The person who had the problem was using 64-bit. But that makes no difference in this case. Follow th step by step posted by ABC_george and see if that fixes the problem.

  • System Restore cannot run ' do allow you the program following an unknown Publisher to make changes to this computer: rstrui.exe '? "

I'm trying to run a system restore, and I have Windows 7.  The problem started when Yahoo hacked my Google with Firefox search engine.  I could not understand how to get my search engine to Google, so I tried to do a "system restore."  I get a message from "user account control" who says: ' do you want to allow the program following an unknown Publisher to make changes to this computer: rstrui.exe Editor: unknown origin of the file: hard drive of this computer. "  I think that rstrui.exe is actually the Windows program for the restoration of the system, but I don't think I should get a message like "Editor: unknown."  I ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Spybot, but came to nothing.  If my system restore has been disabled?

    Hello

This can help you, because these are a few reasons for problems with SR:

    1. If you are using Norton, you should disable Norton inviolable Protection before using the system restore.

  • Cannot perform a backup with Backup and Restore (Windows 7) error 0 x 8100019

I was able to run a backup on one of my other external hard drives-, but he did not have a sufficient space to manage the size of the backup that I specified. I recently bought a 3 TB hard drive to store a backup copy of my 1 TB hard drive Dell XPS 8300, and now I get error 0 x 8100019. I'm not the most technically inclined, reading in the nets of the past is like trying to read Sanskrit. I wonder if anyone has found a definitive solution to this problem, given that most of the answers seem to contradict one another?

  • Cannot run command - drive did not come online. check the configuration/hardw

I have a Scalar i500 on a Linux host attached via fibre channel. I accept all work to automatically mount the drive. I can't make it work.

I can use the web interface of the i500 and then put a tape in the drive. I can then mount the drive from a secure backup and mount a back very well. Yet, I can not run a backup without a mounted tape. If I choose "load Volume (by car)...." I get the error ' cannot run the command - drive did not come online; check the configuration/hardware.

I can the inventory of the library and do anything except automount readers. I run an audit and configuration back with no errors. I tried to use the SCSI settings in the obl0 and obt0 and obt2 without success. I tried to use the/dev/sg raw without success paths. Same mistake.

It is an upgrade from 10.1 to 10.3 installation. I tried to do a clean install with the same question. I've restored the installation and then run an upgrade with the same question.

    I'm stuck. Please help :)

    Thank you

It seems you have the DTE is exchanged.

Swap the DTE # assigned to objects device disk and try again. This could happen during an upgrade if you reassigned the scsi settings and features obt0 and obt1 swapped the scsi settings when they ran the last things.

  • Unable to overcome error - "the startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition.

    Hello!

I'm trying to install Windows on my iMac (late 2013, running 10.11.6) without success.  I created the ISO to a flash drive, but when I try to use the Assistant Boot camp, I am referred to the following screen:

I did my best to study solutions. The cause, by apple support discussions, is that there is another partition of pre-empting (stop) the wizard boot camp partitioning the hard drive.  I studied the partitions on my HDD after unplugging all devices and found this:

This shows the main partition: Macintosh HD, the bootcamp partition: BOOTCAMP; and 2 unknown partitions: "Apple HDD ST100DM003 Media" and the same * M004.  I was able to delete the first Apple ST100DM003 HARD disk partition and ran first aid on the fusion drive after that the second he would not remove.  Also, I can't delete the boot camp partition.  I keep getting the same message when I try to install windows on a partition of the fuser unit using Boot Camp Assistant - "Startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition".

    Any suggestions?

Please after the release of the following OSX Terminal commands.

    diskutil list

    Cs diskutil list

  • change the backup/restore disc

can I change this disk will my backup/restore point to? He uses my external drive now even if I didn't change it. I have a laptop & cannot bet that the external drive connects or is connected.

    HI RJHinSA,
You can go there. This is guidance on how to change to the high places.
If you need more information, simply open help, support and type "how to make the backup.
Change when you save your files

When you configure your computer to automatically back up files, you specify a location where the files will be stored. You can change this location if you run out of space in the current location or you want to change the type of storage location (for example, a DVD, a hard disk on your computer or a shared folder on another computer on a network).

    1. Click to open the backup center and restoration.

    2. Click on change settings.

    3. Click on modify backup settings and follow the steps in the wizard. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  • ACS 5.5 (3495) Backup / restore

Problems with backup & restore on ACS 5.5 running on the platform 3495.

Incremental backups are scheduled every day at 02:00.  Full backup will be held each week at 06:00.  Scrub data is scheduled for 04:00 (by the system - cannot change this value).

Log Collector crashed a few times when a full backup is attempted (manual or automated).

TAC a move us the database file in a repository and then clean the database.  After the own incremental backups running sometimes at 02:00 as expected, then at 06:00.  No idea why.

The job of purging of data failed.  I don't think that it is running more.

Failure of the incremental backup at 06:00 yesterday (21/01/15) because "another backup or restore was already underway".  Incremental backup was not supposed to operate at 06:00.  Apparently, this caused the system turn 'off' scheduled backups, so now the backups are not running at all.

Everyone knows these issues?  Y at - it a known solution?

I have a similar problem where scheduled backups suddenly stop working and I login to find the incremental backup is off and no one has turned it off.  5.5.0.46.7 and happened in older versions... you got an answer to this?
