Cannot run VMa 64-bit compatibility confusion

I just installed VMA on my ESXi server, but when I run the client to Red Hat Linux OS I get "Your CPU does not support long mode". when I look at what I found the following thread. [ http://communities.vmware.com/message/1320585: m-1320585] so I usually the processor does not support Intel VT

However, my processor is an Intel Xeon E5320 and on http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=28031 & processor E5320 = & spec-codes = SL9MV, SLAC8, SLAEL suggests that it does support Intel VT.

So I'm a bit confused.

Concerning

Eugene Gill

Have you enabled Intel VT in the BIOS of the host and the system rebooted cold?

  • How can I create a Setup program for my project that can run on 32-bit Windows, if I have Windows Vista 64 bit?

    Hello

I did a project in LabVIEW that works perfectly and made an installer for it. I tried the installer on my own computer and everything worked fine. The purpose of my installer has been putting it on several computers. So I tried to do it on another computer that has Vista 32 bit and he told me that the installer cannot run on 64-bit computers. I tried to choose to install the 32-bit runtime and it has not changed anything, there was still a message to tell me that this Setup program can be run on 64-bit computers. How can I make an installer that runs on 32-bit computers?

I'm trying to run an operating system 64-bit Linux on VMWare Player (Linux host), but I keep warning against long mode not supported.

    Welcome to the community,

Please double check if 'Virtualization technology (VT - x)' and 'Execute Disable Bit' parameters are available in the section 'Security' of the BIOS. If so make sure that both is 'enabled' and - after saving the BIOS settings - make sure that power you cycle the system (power power off)!

  • Cannot run the moment TV/Radio Internet USB Stick in 64-bit Windows 7

It was a gift and I want to play with it! The brochure says it will work with Windows 7. There is no apparent technical support available. The driver loaded OK. Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

It is a game that was intended for Windows 95, so I don't know if you will be able to install it on a 64 bit Vista computer.

    Vista64 has a 32-bit compatibility layer to run 32-bit and 64-bit
Apps/games. A few tips for the games under Vista in general, do not install games
the default folder of Programs (X 86) as long as it is a protected and some
older games cannot write their save games here, install the latest version of
DirectX because Vista comes with Directx10 and a file is missing a few
older games need (install the latest version of Directx will put this file)
and in place) and some games need administrator
Access (right click the exe of the game and select run as administrator). Lack of admin
access may be your problem. I have HL2 on Vista64 and it works fine.

  • Cannot run FIFO host vi

I tried the example FIFO to http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4534 and built a very simple FIFO vi.  However, whenever I save after all after the application runs without a problem, when I open the project, host fpga and vi vi vi host cannot be performed.  However, if I open a new white vi and make copy / paste everything in the original host vi, the new program vi will be able to run again.  I'm confused, what's wrong with the host vi.  I have attached the fpga and host vi below and I have also attached a few screensnaps errors list.  It basically says that almost nothing is taken in charge by the current target.

Another issue is that the parameter of timeout in the FPGA vi has unity 'beat of clock.  What exactly is the beat of clock and what is it in seconds?

Are there any individuals books published by OR who have a complete teaching on FPGA programming that you can recommend?  We use PCI-7833R.

Thank you much in advance.   I appreciate your help.

You must join your project of LV with the rest of the files also. I think the problem is that your host VI is under your FPGA target in the LabVIEW project, which is not the proper context for the host VI. The VI of the host must always be under the point work stations, not the target FPGA.

The reason I think this is your problem is that when I looked at your error 4 photo, it shows your host VI in the context of the target FPGA. You can find out by looking at the title of the window of the VI, you will see "on the analogue input 2-R Series.lvproj / FPGA target." I expect to see "analog input 2-R Series.lvproj / My computer.

In summary, try moving your host VI out below your target FPGA and directly under the element of the workstation.

  • No XP (service pack 3) or run as Administrator program compatibility options.

Another issue is before you install a program that I downloaded, I right click it and go to properties > compatibility and under run this program in compatibility mode for: there is no option for Windows XP service pack 3 or run as Administrator option. It lists only older versions of Windows and Windows NT 4.0 (service pack 5). I doubled checked that my OS is XP (service pack 3) and my account has administrator privileges, so it's really confusing me! Any clarification would be much appreciated!

    -Eva :)

Have you tried just downloading, just empty without trying to run it in compatibility mode? I don't think you'll find an xp in the drop-down list entry simply because you run a xp machine and there is no place to enter xp when you try to run a compatible software xp on a xp machine.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline 400: Cannot run SFC/scannow

"Windows resource protection could not start the repair service."

I restored Windows 8.1 at the factory of HP with the same result.

I tried using 'Online Dism/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth' and get:

Maintenance of the images of deployment and management tool

Please use the version of DISK that corresponds to the architecture of your computer.

Anyone can get an idea as to why ' sfc/scannow' and the DISM command does not work?

    Thank you.

I suspect that the recovery partition is corrupt and that it would have to use HP recovery discs.

If you want to order and if you live in the USA/Canada, call this number 1-800-334-5144 HP and see if you can still get a set of recovery disks.

I have another solution that doesn't cost anything.  You can download and burn an ISO of Windows 8.1 from the following site.  He won't get the HP software or bloatware, is a commercial version.  Have on hand your license key:

If you can, back up your data.

  • Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process

My computer was working fine until last night. Now when I connect I get a blue screen saying that the computer shuts down to prevent further damage from happening. I tried to restore to an earlier point in time when my computer was working but then I get the error:

The OS disk (C :) has errors.
Windows has detected corruption on OS (C :) file system. You should check the drive for errors before you can restore it.

So I'm going to run the chkdsk utility, and I get the error:
Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. You want to schedule this volume to check the next time the system restarts.

I'm confused because the chkdsk unility usually works, and I have no idea why she is being used by another process. I am clearly not very good with computers. I tend to do a lot of spywear and adwear on my computer. I have Spyware Doctor that removes any infection.

Help, please. I've tried everything. Thank you.

    Asha22,
It appears from your last post why chkdsk did not run on reboot and you gave an incorrect message is that you did not a space between the volume and the f number.  The correct syntax is:

    CHKDSK c: /f

You can also run the utility disc in this way:
    http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/bc1393cf-9f9c-79C7-0f91-9337c2c41f811033.mspx

    1. open the computer by clicking the Start button, click computer.

    2. right click on the hard drive you want to check, and then click Properties.

    3. click on the Tools tab and then, under check for errors, click check now.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select automatically fix file system errors. Otherwise, the disk check will simply report a problem, but not to fix them.

To perform a full disk check, select search and attempt to recover bad sectors. This scan is trying to find and repair physical errors on the hard drive itself, and it may take much longer to complete.

To check for errors file and the physical errors, select both automatically fix errors in file system and search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

    4. click on start.

Depending on the size of your hard disk, this may take several minutes. For best results, do not use your computer for any other tasks while it checks errors.

Note: If you select automatically errors in file system of fix for a disc that is used (for example, the partition that contains Windows), you will need to reschedule the disk check for the next time you restart your computer.

The reason that it says that the disk is in use by another process is because it is in use by the operating system (Vista), and that's why it must be run at startup, before the operating system loads fully.

Another utility, you need to perform is the System File Checker, if you can get your computer to start, either normally or in Mode without failure.
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
Right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
At the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved.

Let us know what these tests are and how we can also provide assistance.
    Thank you
