Cannot send fax LaserJet Pro M1212nf

Help me please correct.

LaserJet Pro M1212nf. analog phone connected via the "phone" on the back panel port.

In the manual to read:

===================================================

Send a fax in composition from a telephone connected to the fax line
Occasionally, you can dial a fax number, a phone that is connected to the same line as the product. For example, if you send a fax to a person that the device is in the manual receive mode, you can precede the fax with a voice call to inform this person that the fax is coming.
NOTE:
The phone must be connected to the port 'phone' product.

Load the document into the document feeder.

Pick up the handset of a telephone that is connected to the same line as the product. Dial the fax number using the phone keypad.

When the responses from the recipients, give instruction to start the fax machine.

When you hear fax tones, press the Fax theSend, wait until the connection is displayed on the screen of the control panel and then hang up the phone.

====================================================

But, when I hear fax tones and press the Fax button, no message connection on the screen, but I see Incoming call, and try to fax receive faxes, do not send.  Faxing via the digital button on panet before M1212 isn't a problem, everything ok.

What's wrong?

so I understand my mistake, document MUST be in the document feeder, no scanning no glass.

Thank for the help ^)

I can't send faxes to high feeder if I place the fax on the glass. Message I get is always "the fax storage" and the makers of fax to be sent. Updated firmware to date with no solutioin.

Welcome to the HP community @perlfather,

I read your message on the message "memory fax" you're noting on your LaserJet M1536dnf and no faxing. I suggest you power reset of the printer and to make sure that the printer has a connection directly to a wall jack, avoiding power bars and surge limiters.

    • Turn on the printer.
With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
      Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

  • LaserJet Pro M402n: Cannot print on LaserJet Pro M402n on port TCP/IP for Windows 10

I'll put up a new workstation Windows 10. It is brand new with all updates applied. The printer gives me fits. I tried to install as myself (with administrator privileges), 'run as administrator' and logged in as a local administrator and I got the same results each time. I used 'install' and 'non-installateur' version of the most recent drivers.

The printer is a HP LaserJet Pro M402n. I'm installing a Standard TCP/IP Port. I can ping the printer. I can get on the printers web interface. Likewise, the installation program detects the printer and gives no error. But when the installation is complete, and I try to print a test page, nothing happens.

The same printer is configured the same on my old Windows 7 workstation which is still on my desktop and connected by the same switch and on the same subnet as the new work center. It prints very well.

Any ideas to get this to work?

Got, it works. It had to be that something gimped upward in the initial installation of Windows. I've reconfigured on the PC and was able to get the printer to work first time.

  • HP Laserjet colorMFP M475dn: cannot send faxes from my mac after the upgrade to yosemite

I used to be able to send a fax from my Macbook Pro using an excerpt and then print the PDF file to the fax on my Laserjet M475dn colorMFP function.

After installation of OS X Yosemite:

    • a dialog box says that "some of the software of the printer is missing."
    • When I clicked on the button install, then said "you must install the software to use this printer...." If the software is not available in software update, contact the manufacturer of your printer"
    • Then I downloaded the .dmg for laserjet and officejet files (I also have a photosmart that I use for scanning)
    • I deleted the printers and tried to re - add
    • When I add printers laserjet, fax does not show up on top of the list of printers.
    • How can I get the fax driver to install on OS X Yosemite?

OK, mission accomplished! My ability to fax works on Mac OS X Yosemite!

So to sum up, here's what I did, although not necessarily in this order:

1 reset the printing system, which erased all of the devices in the list Printers & Scanners

    2 install the software utility package HP = HP-LaserJet-SW-OSX - Mavericks_v12.34.34.dmg

3 install the package for the HP printer software update 3.0

    4 restarted my mac

5 entered in Printers & Scanners and when the dialog box pops up, added the Fax with the driver for Fax selected in the drop-down list to use as directed by the dialog box illustrated by TeK_AcE

6 tested the fax print in overview and selecting 'Fax PDF' in the menu drop-down PDF. I sent a fax to the fax number of the HP test at 1-888-hpfaxme or 1-888-473-2963

    7. Add the printer again, the driver Laserjet and not Airprint

    Hope this helps someone else.

  • Cannot send faxes with activated delivery receipts

  • Cannot send faxes from Fax Console

I have a problem with my fax services.  I went and updated windows for my windows xp.  I downloaded the fax software, but it does not allow me to install it.  Then, I went to the control panel and clicked on Add/Remove programs and then I checked the fax services on windows components area and he told me that I have a service pack 3 and insert the cd. My computer came with any cd or boot disk.  There is not that it is installed on my computer that I bought at Best Buy.  They said that computers are like that. I find that hard to believe, at this time, it's true. However I need help to get Fax installed.  I have a modem with the cable operator and told me that I could run fax over there.  I am naïve when it comes to all these stuff Setup. Please help because I need to fax to work.

In order to send and receive faxes, you need a conventional fax modem
with a direct phone line attached.  You can use the broadband unless you
use a web-based service like eFax fax:
    http://www2.eFax.com/eFax/TWA/page/homepage

Or consider buying a regular fax and connect it to your phone
    line.

If you check receive a fax, the modem starts and a fax tone and a tone can be heard but still sending does not.

  • LaserJet Pro M1212nf does support WPS?

The specifications of the printer said it built in ethernet and network ready, but there is no specific instructions or information about this printer Advisor if she supports the WPS installation & configuration of the network. This is a second laptop, and a printer that I use in a different field than my desktop. The laptop IS connected to my network, but can't find this printer. I can around duty set & print using the USB cable on the model M1212nf? All the literature is for the 'family' of printers and not this printer.

I checked the specifications of the printer... it does not support WPS.

    Note:
Although I work for HP Imaging & Printing Group, I speak for myself and not for HP.

  • LaserJet Pro M1212nf MFP: There is no installed TWAIN compatible device.

Since the upgrade to Windows 10, my scanning function produces the error message in the subject line.  The printer was working after the upgrade I don't analyze that often, so I did not immediately notice.

The system now lists a "other device" called HP SCAN that has no attached driver.  The HP print and scan doctor identifies the HP SCANNING as a unit without a driver, but it will not fix.

This PC is my home office autonomous with the printer connected as a USB device.  I didn't lose the functionality of the printer, so I downloaded the latest driver Windows 10 available for this printer and re-installed, using the option "fix."  Without success.

Should I run the installation executable and choose to install a new printer?  Or someone has a better option?

    Thanks in advance.

    Greetings @tjd48,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! By your post, I see that you are missing the drivers scanner. Please provide detailed information of all that. I'd love to help you.

I suggest to delete the preinstalled Windows driver and download and install the latest drivers: LJM1130_M1210_MFP_Full_Solution.exe

Immediately after connecting the USB cable, follow the steps described in this paper: A Fatal Error displays during Installation of the software. Do not take into account the title. It's just to make sure that the correct drivers settle for the printer and is not hanging up.

    Test the printer.

If you enjoy using, click on 'Accept as Solution' and 'Thumbs Up' buttons. Please hold me. Kind regards

    WIN7 OS

error message below in the text

    No change, install new

I'm angry against HP before even getting the thing completely uncompressed.

WHY HP is too cheap to provide a USB cable?

OK, have to run out to the store.

But, in addition, I power up the printer and I am getting a memory error. It says "memory error 10.1000 supply."

HP made a final inspection, or am I their unpaid final Inspector?

There is a paper tray, presumable to capture the output of the printer. The only problem - he obviously does not anywhere, ridiculous installation manual says nothing about this, and after downloading the user manual, which says nothing no more.

Nowhere in the manuals gives error codes.

Just to add insult to injury, there is no registration card. HP guarantees this thing? With these many problems, why t - you buy HP?

    Someone at HP read this, or am I just whistling in the wind? Yes, I'm upset. I've never bought a printer before who has not just plug the supplied cables and WORK.  {Content deleted: legal discussion}

    Hi pilotgeorge,

I can understand your frustration with this issue. After reviewing photos it seems that you have the correct output tray for this printer. Below, I have included a link to a video that will guide you through the installation of the paper output tray.
