Cannot send or receive messages with Windows mail

Have been using Windows Mail without problem for more than a year.  But after the creation of a Windows Vista mail 'rule' we are no longer able to send or receive any mail either. Of course, we have created the rule of the 'bad' :)   It doesn't seem to be a way to cancel this 'rule' in Windows Mail?  If there is, we can't find it.  And there is nothing that our ISP can do to help.    Thanks in advance, Pat in Minnesota

According to Bruce, there is no rule that will prevent you from using WinMail.  One of the main issues however interference from antivirus software translates a corruption of the database.  Check if antivirus alteration (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3) and also try to compact and repair the database to see if it is resolved to the isssue (use www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).

This account worked until recently? If so, it is probably due to an update of your antivirus software. Completely uninstall and restart. Now, do a custom installation and uncheck e-mail scanning when it is offered.

Analysis of electronic mail is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. I'm not a fan of the AOL software. Personally I would not use AOL as my Internet service provider. I only had a close encounter with the AOL software in recent years. Finally, the problem has been solved and it was not caused by the AOL software but he could have easily.

AOL has always provided a brand of software developed by others. Thus, they mark Outlook Express and all changed the menus etc then any that have a reasonable understanding of Outlook Express met with unnecessary difficulties trying to solve a problem. It was of course on a Windows XP platform.

With AOL, another problem is that they are slow to update their versions software brands and users to register on AOL in the retail stores are supplied with CD/DVD with versions to software. What I suggest you do is confirm with AOL that you have the latest version of their software for a Vista computer. When you ask pointed questions you get better answers.

The software for AOL email on a Vista platform is based on Windows Mail. Do not confuse Windows Mail with Windows Live Mail, which is part of the package available to you if you sign up for Windows Live Essentials. They are not the same.
    http://explore.live.com/Windows-Live-Essentials-system-requirements

I don't know how Windows Live Mail would work with AOL as Internet Service provider, change to unknown software in a difficult period for your mother could create problems when his thoughts are elsewhere.

My following link can provide a way to correct the problem. My hesitation is that you're dealing with a customized version. Before you try, it checks if there are messages in the Outbox.

If the KB 941090 solution does not work, it may be that a solution that worked with Outlook Express might be interesting to try.

  • Cannot send and received the error windows live mail 3219

Cannot send and received the message of error windows live mail 3219 how remedy

You use a hosted Microsoft e-mail address.

Microsoft doesn't want you using a program like WLM.  I know, they created it, but they changed their minds.  They want to be able to use their webmail system so that they can put ads in your face and you profile by reading your emails.  They try to get you migrated to Windows 10 and the e-mail program integrated here.

Most of my clients with addresses hosted Microsoft migrated far by pulling on the other non-Microsoft like Gmail or Yahoo mail addresses.

WLM will work perfectly with these addresses.  Well more than half of my computer 150 customer use WLM 2011 version and it works very well.

At this account worked before and this just started? If Yes...

    1. It could be the server itself.
    2. Make sure that the Outbox is empty.
    3. Reset your modem and your router if you have one.
    4. See if it will send with your security program off to eliminate the e-mail scanning.
If it ever worked, don't forget your account settings to match the settings of POP here.

First check that your ISP has no problems with his server.  See if you can connect via webmail, if you have this ability.  Otherwise, go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties together correctly and the credentials it.  There is a problem when you get prompt that is not save information, so set correctly before you check mail.  If there are still questions, then find the interference antivirus (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3) and compact and repair the database where it is a problem (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).

  • Can't send or receive messages in Windows Live Mail

    Hello.

I recently bought an e-mail domain. The site that I bought since provided tutorials to add the Outlook and Windows Live Mail account. Unfortunately, I can't send / receive messages on either. I gave up Outlook and now focus on Windows Live.
The message remains in the Outbox, and nothing happens. I already have an account of personal mail there, which works very well. I can send and receive mail from that. The new e-mail address (which is my business account) is totally ruin. I tried to add by using IMAP and POP, without success. As I said, the message remains in the Inbox, and I get various messages indicating that the connection information is invalid. However, I can connect perfectly to the Webmail service condition when I bought the domain.
The strange thing is though, if I delete my business account on Windows Live mail, the original message, I tried to send stays in the Outbox. I then close the program, and he asks if I want to send my e-mail by default (personal). I click Yes and it sends?
I read all the tutorials and troubleshooting guides, modified and verified details my, and there has been no success. Can anyone help?
    Thanks in advance.

How embarrassing: I solved the problem. One of the symbols of my password not recognized: to change my password, it worked. Apologies and thanks for your response without worrying.

  • The user incorrect name/password when you attempt to receive messages on Windows Mail

For the past 2 years my email worked fine and now all of a sudden I am unable to pick up E-mail from 2 to 5 email accounts that I have set up on Windows Mail. The exact error message is:

Account: * e-mail address is removed from the privacy *', server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, server response: '-ERR [AUTH] wrong username or password.', Port: 995, secure (SSL): Yes, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC92

I have 3 other accounts on the same server and they all work very well and the properties are the same on all 5 of these accounts. I have not installed any new programs or updated anything before it happens. It's already happened and I just deleted the account and readmitted, find something has been altered, and then it worked fine. This time I tried to remove the two accounts and readmitted them and they still won't work.

It's very frustrating and any help would be appreciated. I'm under Visa SP2, Internet Explorer 9, Windows Mail 6.

Winmail opener has a number of issues, in particular with antivirus software (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).  What seems to work for some is to delete the account completely and then close WinMail and reopen it, then add the account back once again, as you did.  It can help to compact and repair the database first (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  Also check via webmail account is functional.

  • difficulties to send and receive emails in windows mail.

I have problems to send and receive e-mails.  They appear in my Outbox but are not sent.  Spend half an hour with the Road Runner.  They said that it is a problem of microsoft.  No errorl signals apprear.  Items appear in shippers sent box, but I do not receive them.

In addition to Brian's suggestions, see here: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 after you disable e-mail analysis, then delete your e-mail account, compact and repair the database of WinMail (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) then add your account to e-mail back again.

You can also test it out yourself copy emails you send and then see if you receive.  You can also connect to RR via the webmail interface, I think and send and receive from there to ensure that it is not not a RR problem.

  • Can't send or receive email on Windows Mail

Account: 'pop.oneandone.co.uk', server: 'pop.oneandone.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, server response: '-ERR failed authentication ', Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC92

When you try to send and receive e-mails, mail request my user name and password to connect to pop.oneandone, it does not recognize my name of user and password. I tried to use the system restore, it makes no difference. I also tried to adjust some settings under Tools > my accounts > properties; I've checked and unchecked my server requires authentication.

  • Send and receive problems with e-mail messages

When you click send/receive status shows received mail line, but it does NOT appear in the Inbox. My ISP has recently changed their security settings, but the old version or settings of the server (110 and 25), nor the new SSL (995 and 465) settings seem to work. Some test messages and view the web messaging server but not downloaded

Talk to your service provider. Ask a technician to help you. Changes have been made. They should be able to help you.
