Cannot start Oracle Application Suite

I installed Oracle Application Suite on my laptop and tried to access it and immediately I get the following error:

8088 / olt /-> "cannot display the page.

I checked through the entrance of the local hosts and 127.0.0.1 pointing to my local host.

In trials, I did try telnet localhost 8080, but that does not work either?

I don't know what the issue or am I missing something?

Appreciate your help in this matter.

OK that's the good news, we know what is the problem!

Make sure you have the file jboss - 4.0.2.zip somewhere in your system, the file should be of about * 59.2 MB *, I saw some JBoss installations, which were not due to a corrupted file.

Then go to:

Start to -> all programs -> Oracle Application Testing costumee- Tools >-> day Oracle Application Testing Suite Application Service

Then point the wizard to the folder containing the file zip, not to the zipfile itself.

This process should update the application server.

Note also that it should be JBoss 4.0.2

Good luck

This application is not known to me, but I think you should check the application developer / support manufacturer page how to install this software...

It seems that there is a location on the HARD disk that is not available for a common user...

But generally, you can start each application with the admin rights.

Right click on the exe file and in the Security tab, you will see that access to the right for all users of accounts available on your laptop.

    Hello Astroguy,

Thank you for your response back!

Good to know that you have done a repair install.  What I would do is run the SFC scan, because you performed the installation of repair recently the chances are that the SFC scan should be good.  If there is a problem, it will signal you when finished.

Then I would go to Windows Update to check if he has new updates and/or try to update all those who did not.  If you still get the updates that do not please let us know what he's trying to put up-to-date and error.

Now, I'm not yet able to test the Web Service as it fails with the same error.

Is there any solution for this? Please give me your feedback. Thank you.

There is a bug in JDev 11 g that prevents you to run a single application that has a Web Services and the ADF page.
The solution is to create an application that has Web service - and run it.
Create another application with the parts of the ADF, and then run it.

  • Cannot start the application because (dacCom) is not properly installed on XP

When I'm trying to click on component above services error I m get.

    Pls help me...

    Hi laetitia Ganji,.

-Were you able to start Services previously with no problems?

-Are you connected to any network domain?

If so, contact the system admin of the respective service.

If not, follow these steps and check if it helps you fix the problem:

    a. Click Start. Click run. Type cmd and press ENTER.

    b. at the command prompt run "msdtc - uninstall" without the quotes. This removes the MSDTC service control Panel Services and the hive of service associated with the CIDs and CID.

    c. at the command prompt run "msdtc - install" without the quotes. This will reinstall the MSDTC service and registry hives above.

    Hello everyone.

As I said in the title of the topic, I can't launch Metro apps once I updated my laptop. Here are some photos and a video to explain more: video

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

You may experience this problem if the system files are corrupted or due to changes in the resolution of the screen on the desktop. I want you to know some basic information for the modern user interface to work properly on Windows 8 / 8.1:

    > User account control settings need to be enabled.
Note: User Account Control (UAC) notifies you before changes are made to your PC that requires administrator-level permission. By default, UAC is set to warn you as soon as apps try to make changes to your PC, but you can change how often UAC notifies you.
    > To align the apps, you need at least 1366 x 768 screen resolution.
    > Requires Microsoft account.

Follow these methods and check if that helps:

Method 1: brand 'x' in the lower right of the app. This behavior may be the result of a problem or error when an app package has been installed or injected into the Windows 8 or 8.1 image, or it may be the result of the outdated software. Follow the steps in this article:

Windows 8 app tiles have an 'x' in the lower right corner

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2832072/en-us

Also, try changing the minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 and check if it helps:

Get the best display on your monitor

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/get-best-display-monitor

If the problem persists, proceed to the next method.

Method 2: Try installing the latest graphics card drivers and check. I also suggest to visit the manufacturer of computer technical support site and install the latest graphics drivers.

    Download and install the drivers

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/all-drivers

If the problem persists, proceed to the next method.

Method 3: Run the Troubleshooter of Apps. This tool can automatically identify and fix problems with the applications.

Note: This utility automatically corrects some problems that may prevent your running applications, including the suboptimal screen resolution and security or incorrect account settings.

Please consult the following link for troubleshooting if the troubleshooter does not help:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/what-troubleshoot-problems-app

If the problem persists, proceed to the next method.

Method 4: I suggest you run the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker and check if it helps. The tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker scans missing or system corrupted files and repairs them.

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833/en-us

I hope this helps. If you need help with Windows, let us know and will be happy to help you.
