Cannot switch on Tablet K1

When I went on the shelf earlier this evening, the battery showed he was still 38% of power in it.

When I can come back half an hour later, the Tablet has been turned off and I can't turn it on. Even after plugging in the power plug, no indication that he is still in charge. When I plugged the USB, my laptop doesn't save even the Tablet when it used to.

I just received this for a week and it no longer works.

First turn off do you know if the battery level has dropped to 3%, which forces a stop down. Plug it in and recharge. Sorry for what is obvious. If you encounter the problem that others like me to wake up, then hold the power button for 6 seconds to force a shutdown of the system. Then hold down the power button again for another 2-3 seconds to turn on the tablet. If it works, you have the problem of awakening. See no difficulty for questions of "waking sleep ' and ' Reboot random»? I usually just stop all the time because the 2-3 seconds of startup is better that the 6 seconds + 2-3 seconds. Otherwise I would call for support. Good luck.

  • Portege M200: the screen is blank when you switch to Tablet mode

    Hello.

Have a problem with my Portege M200 and after hours of searching for a solution, I'm still at a complete loss as to how to fix it.

Essentially, when you attempt to switch to Tablet mode - or if I press the button cover closed 'sensor' on the far right, which is essentially the same thing: the screen goes black.

This means that I can not in tablet mode at all.

What happens across multiple operating systems and will happen even before that an operating system has started. Of course, I checked that when in Windows, the option "When I close the lid" is set to do nothing and I even checked for any cable setting in bios but saw nothing relevant.

As far as I know this has only started happening since I sent it for repair with toshiba a month or two back (motherboard has been replaced I think).

No way to control it via software or am I'm going to have to send it for repair again?

You description, it looks more like a hardware problem as a problem of software because this happens before an operating system has started. That's why I would exclude a software problem.

In your case I would recommend you to contact the ASP again and explain the whole situation with your laptop.

  • Cannot switch between multiple Time Machine backups

I generally save my 2010 Macbook Pro to a 2012 Time Capsule, which is attached to my router via an ethernet cable (most recent) wireless. On a trip, I make the additional backups on an external hard drive. However, when I go home and try to return to the TC, my internal HD is now on the time Machine "Exclude" list and cannot be removed (greyed out). When I try to save, I get a message saying "no disks are available to back up."

What has happened a few times, and the only solution I could find was to delete my original Time Machine backup and put a new (which took forever).

Any ideas why my HD internal is added to the exclusion list after using Time Machine with an external hard drive?

Time Machine backups on a network drive or a disc attached locally stored in different formats. Switching between them was not in the overall theme of the design of this service of OS X.

I suggest that you set up Time Machine to use multiple disks.

FWIW, in my case, I backup destinations, Time Machine on a Time Capsule and an external hard drive of 2 bolt of lightning. When both are available, the time goes 'take turns' Machine backup on each drive.

If a disk is not available, it backs up to that which is, and which ignores the backup of the other. When the two are connected again, backups continue on both.

  • Cannot switch the language layout with wireless keyboard

I do a sort of a media center for my mac mini. So far, everything is great, except for one very annoying thing. I bought this wireless keyboard and it's working great, although there is a problem with the layout language switch. When I change the input language - it is off, according to the change of language icon, if a text input is always in English. I'm quite confused and don't know if it's related to the keyboard itself or it's a question of OS (same behavior was on yosemite, before I've upgraded to el capitan)

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you talking about the little flag in the menu bar? This has nothing to do with the language itself, it has to do with keyboard layouts. Any reason you need to switch the layouts?

If you want to change the language of the menus and other system, then you must go to

System-> region and language preferences, then change the order of the languages.

  • cannot switch between iPhoto libraries

Just recently, my mac made me create a new library for iPhoto. I don't know why, maybe my first one was overloaded, because I have a LOT of photos and videos and we used only. But after that there is a new one (which is of course empty), it won't let me come back to my old one. When I go to the tab to switch between libraries and click to choose another, I can still see my original library. But whenever I click on it to switch to him, my computer does not respond. It doesn't do anything. I think that all my old content is still on my computer, I just can't access. Can someone help me please? I have a lot of media that I need!

    1. will never be your Mac 'make' you do whatever including create a library - what exactly makes you think that the Mac done you this?

    2. what happens when you double-click the iPhoto library in your pictures folder?

3 - what version of the operating system you have and what version of iPhoto?

    Hello

I used a Tecra S4 (with Windows XP Prof.) with monitor 3 + and with an external 19 "Advanced Port Replicator. If I connect my laptop with the Port Replicator, it will automatically switch to the external display. I have to use the function "FN" to move."

I signed up the external monitor with "use this device as the primary monitor.
I don't have this problem with my other laptop Toshiba Tecra A3.

Now, I think the problem is the geforce graphics card.

Does anyone have the same problem?
Thanks for the help and sorry for my bad English; (o)

  • Tecra S2 cannot switch to the external display

With my Tecra S2 and when it is docked in the Port Replicator APR - III, I used to be able to connect my external (via DVI) display so that it was to automatically screen output to we by default, not only to the windows startup screen (Yes, I noticed the topic on the forum at the start of windows) but also when display login screen and beyond.

Only problem now is that there is no more than anything, she now only sends the output to the external display when starting and then switches back to the computer screen displaying the screen Windows login and when you are connected to Windows.
Also after commissioning and connection, FN + F5 does not at all, even when you switch to DVI, display does not illuminate.

I feel that either the nVidia properties settings (double screen, unique, etc.) or the Mobile Extension Manager have something to do with it.
Anyone who knows the answer / solution to this problem?
Experts on the Mobile Extension Manager or several monitor in nVidia settings with of Toshiba Tecra?

    Thank you

    Arjen

    Hello

Well, as I know it is not possible to set the external monitor as a default monitor.
I use a Satellite phone and sometimes I plug it into the external monitor and use the extended desktop option.
During notebook startup procedure the windows boot image will appear on the second screen, but the user name and the operating system appears on the screen of the laptop.
I think you can use the external monitor but you can't set it as a default monitor and you can use it if the operating system has been released.

  • Cannot switch to Win 7 SP1

I have a HP Slimline s5670t. When I recently tried upgrading to Explorer 11, the installer told me that I have Win 7 SP1. The computer came with Win 7, but not SP1. I did my utmost to update and install SP1 only to find out that it will not be installed because I need a newer version of the graphics driver intell (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2505743). Well it turns out that intel is unable to update the graphics driver on my hp because hp installed their own version of the innovative of it. I checked the hp driver updates intel graphics on their website and there is not a more recent available. So without an updated graphics driver intel HP, I can't upgrade Win 7 SP1.

What I've read, SP1 fixed a number of security issues. So now it seems that I'm stuck with a computer that is not secure. You think that I should give her medicine for anxiety?

Seriously, all the suggestions and help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Doug

    More like hit a dead-end.

Thanks Big Dave! This more or less worked, although I have not exactly follow your directions.

I started with a factory reinstall and reinstalled the chipset intel and graphics drivers intel as you suggest. The only thing that I do not have to uninstall the graphics driver intel because I was afraid of not being able to see anything! Then, I did all the updates of Windows.

After the adjournment, I reinstalled the original intel chipset and drivers graphic once more, to make sure.

One thing I should mention is that SP1 has never as a possible update by using Windows Update. I guess it's smart enough to not to suggest a undate which cannot not be installed.

I also found a page of windows support thereon (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2498452) and took his suggestion (method 4) to install an update for the graphics platform (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2028560).

Because the SP1 is not an option under Windows Update, I downloaded and installed separately, and it installed! As a result, it's about 60 updates, and now I'm good to go!

Thanks again! I would have given up without your help.

    See you soon,.

  • Cannot switch between windows without minimizing everything.

Recently (as of 02/10/2010 on Windows 7 x 64) when I have several windows open, whenever I click on another application open on the taskbar instead of the window popping up, the part of the taskbar just flashes orange. (This is equivalent to 'Flash' which occurs when something has changed on a window not displayed.)

The only way to see the window is to hit 'show desktop' and re - click on the item in the taskbar. (I note that the question becomes then solid orange until I open it).

Even Alt + tab doesn't do a thing! (However, switching Aero 3D * fact * work)

However, this is obviously a major nuisance. I am very computer savy, so I looked for registry items suggested by other forums/issues; However, I can not find the question. Oh, and I can't find any software, I installed before you see this question.

Help, please! This is obviously a MAJOR obstacle for me. (I'm a software engineer that usually passes between many applications...) Thanks in advance!

Wow... the process of any connection was totally useless and glitch.  Incredible.

UH I just had the same thing happen as above and it took about 10 attempts of different search on bing (really google! lol) to find this single cry for help.

It's the second time that this has happened for me.  I think I figured it out - like the suggestion of system restore - why not simply tell it to reinstall windows?

As I said, after several useless research, I found this, and when I was trying to read that I realized it was a floating 'OPEN' or some other "INVITE" button floating on my screen on the top of my window - it was white and not easy to see and well, it seems to have been of Microsoft Security Essentials - I had 3 programs that run and each attempt to access everything that wasn't on top , gave the orange flashing only that you can't see "!" @# ! #@ "unless you minimize etc.

Once I clicked the button 'OPEN' - Microsoft Security Essentials popped up on top and he asked me to do a scan.  He did not appear as a running program in the bar as he is in try it then... no task button to select.

I think she appeared and I was doing something (gosh why a program just pop up when I type and steal the objective?) as I say I was typing so almost immediately, he was pushed to the background - except for the small white floating on my word doc - white button almost invisible.  Once this State took place that I have been unable to pass the task until I hit this button.  When the user minimizes the task switch function works, but there is no way to see that MSE is the question.

System Restore... Yes that corrects everyting

  • Cannot switch to windows 10.

I have upgraded to windows 10 late last July, but found windows 10 was slow, so I went back to windows 7.

Early last month, I wanted to try again, but it says that my gpu will not work with it when I know that it will work as it did when I upgraded.

    Can anyone help?

    Try to upgrade manually:

    Task of pre-required

When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

    then

    then

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times, and then try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
    • If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
    • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account.
    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).
