Cannot switch on Tecra M5.

Hi all
Can not turn on my * Tecra M5 *.
as he flashes a led power supply - + 2 short 1 long 1 1 long 1 long 2 short short +.
It means? provide information of _ANY_ on this issue.
thx for help.

Hello

It seems that a hardware problem has been detected on the motherboard!
The blink code offers a type of failure.

Long, 1 short means 0

> 2 short 1 long 1 1 long 1 long 2 short short.

This means; 0010 1100
Cause the least significant bit, to read by behind; 0011 0100
means of 0011 0100 34Hex

But please don't ask me what that means 34 h.

I think that the Toshiba service partner should be able to help
But note; the motherboard needs to be replaced in most cases this can be a costly affair.

  • Tecra S2 cannot switch to the external display

With my Tecra S2 and when it is docked in the Port Replicator APR - III, I used to be able to connect my external (via DVI) display so that it was to automatically screen output to we by default, not only to the windows startup screen (Yes, I noticed the topic on the forum at the start of windows) but also when display login screen and beyond.

Only problem now is that there is no more than anything, she now only sends the output to the external display when starting and then switches back to the computer screen displaying the screen Windows login and when you are connected to Windows.
Also after commissioning and connection, FN + F5 does not at all, even when you switch to DVI, display does not illuminate.

I feel that either the nVidia properties settings (double screen, unique, etc.) or the Mobile Extension Manager have something to do with it.
Anyone who knows the answer / solution to this problem?
Experts on the Mobile Extension Manager or several monitor in nVidia settings with of Toshiba Tecra?

    Thank you

    Hello

Well, as I know it is not possible to set the external monitor as a default monitor.
I use a Satellite phone and sometimes I plug it into the external monitor and use the extended desktop option.
During notebook startup procedure the windows boot image will appear on the second screen, but the user name and the operating system appears on the screen of the laptop.
I think you can use the external monitor but you can't set it as a default monitor and you can use it if the operating system has been released.

  • Cannot switch between multiple Time Machine backups

I generally save my 2010 Macbook Pro to a 2012 Time Capsule, which is attached to my router via an ethernet cable (most recent) wireless. On a trip, I make the additional backups on an external hard drive. However, when I go home and try to return to the TC, my internal HD is now on the time Machine "Exclude" list and cannot be removed (greyed out). When I try to save, I get a message saying "no disks are available to back up."

What has happened a few times, and the only solution I could find was to delete my original Time Machine backup and put a new (which took forever).

Any ideas why my HD internal is added to the exclusion list after using Time Machine with an external hard drive?

Time Machine backups on a network drive or a disc attached locally stored in different formats. Switching between them was not in the overall theme of the design of this service of OS X.

I suggest that you set up Time Machine to use multiple disks.

FWIW, in my case, I backup destinations, Time Machine on a Time Capsule and an external hard drive of 2 bolt of lightning. When both are available, the time goes 'take turns' Machine backup on each drive.

If a disk is not available, it backs up to that which is, and which ignores the backup of the other. When the two are connected again, backups continue on both.

  • Cannot find drivers Tecra R940

    Hi team,

Need help. My Tecra R940 with windows 8 has two things does not:

    Finger scanner printing and webcam.

The finger print scanner I see it needs drivers from Device Manager
BUT the webcam is not there on Device Manager as there is no. To make it worse the toshiba site doesn't have the drivers

    Help!

BUT the webcam is not there on Device Manager as there is no. To make it worse the toshiba site doesn't have the drivers

the unique webcam driver is not available for win 8 / system Win8.1 or win 10 because the device should be recognized automatically by Microsoft OS.

You need to install is the driver for the Toshiba System...

In addition, in most cases, the webcam should be enabled in the BIOS... sometimes its possible that the webcam is disabled in the BIOS and that's why the system cannot recognize the internal webcam

  • Cannot connect my Tecra A7 to Internet

Hi, can anyone help with me here?

I have laptop Tecra A7 and had to reformat Windows XP. I'm not really good with computers. I follow the instructions online on how to reformat Windows XP and I had done it correctly. But the problem is I couldn't connect to the internet.

And when I checked also the sounds and audio devices, it has not worked. I don't have the drivers more. Please help me what to do.

    Thank you-Rizden

Install WXP using this original Toshiba recovery image. After this check, if all the hardware components are preinstalled correctly (Device Manager).
If everything is OK there activate WLAN (switch and FN + F8) and scan the area for your router.
Log into your router and I hope that you will be able to use the Internet.

In General, this is simply. Actually, what is your problem?

  • Cannot access BIOS Tecra M11 - 11K times supervisor password has been programmed

    Hello

I have 10 laptops Toshiba Tecra M11 - 11K here and they all have the same problem. If they lit and I enter in BIOS to make adjustments for the first time, it is good but if I want to go back to the BIOS after a few restart (or even one), what happens when I press F2 is the screen flashes and the computer restarts. It does on all 10 laptops. Someone knows what to do with it? Flashing the BIOS means that I have to configure each one until I can do that, which is somewhat a burden and I have no warranty, it will work. :/

    Thank you

    J

    Stand by.
    What does this mean exactly?
I understand you have made some changes in the BIOS, but after a few restart, you can enter the settings of the BIOS again.

This means you are not able to enter the BIOS or you need to switch the phone OFF, wait a bit and then it still works?

When you set the default settings for the BIOS (if possible) this problem persists?

I have two user accounts on my Windows Vista Home Premium system. Both have been implemented as administrators, but one account was changed to the user 'Standard '. Once this change has been made I could no more switch users or make other changes to the users. Given that the current account is only a Standard user, it can only perform basic functions so I can't try to restore the system before the change. If I try to change the only guest user I give is of the ASP.NET Admin account asking for a password that I don't have. Via Explore, I can see users, but cannot access that I see the guest of ASP.NET.  How can I pass on my admin account?

  • Cannot switch the language layout with wireless keyboard

I do a sort of a media center for my mac mini. So far, everything is great, except for one very annoying thing. I bought this wireless keyboard and it's working great, although there is a problem with the layout language switch. When I change the input language - it is off, according to the change of language icon, if a text input is always in English. I'm quite confused and don't know if it's related to the keyboard itself or it's a question of OS (same behavior was on yosemite, before I've upgraded to el capitan)

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you talking about the little flag in the menu bar? This has nothing to do with the language itself, it has to do with keyboard layouts. Any reason you need to switch the layouts?

If you want to change the language of the menus and other system, then you must go to

System-> region and language preferences, then change the order of the languages.

  • cannot switch between iPhoto libraries

Just recently, my mac made me create a new library for iPhoto. I don't know why, maybe my first one was overloaded, because I have a LOT of photos and videos and we used only. But after that there is a new one (which is of course empty), it won't let me come back to my old one. When I go to the tab to switch between libraries and click to choose another, I can still see my original library. But whenever I click on it to switch to him, my computer does not respond. It doesn't do anything. I think that all my old content is still on my computer, I just can't access. Can someone help me please? I have a lot of media that I need!

    1. will never be your Mac 'make' you do whatever including create a library - what exactly makes you think that the Mac done you this?

    2. what happens when you double-click the iPhoto library in your pictures folder?

3 - what version of the operating system you have and what version of iPhoto?

  • Cannot connect my Tecra M2 to Internet

    Hello

My son has recently replaced the "Virgin Media Super Hub" with a "router Apple Airport Extreme 802.11ac" and using the Media Virgin Super Hub purely as a Modem.

Subsequently my Toshiba Tecra M2 laptop with Toshiba G86C0000X510 802.11bg wireless card will not connect to the router from apple airport extreme 802.11ac, although my Satellite L755 connects without a problem.
I tried several wireless cards, in :-G86C0000C810, G86C0000X310 and the G86C0000X510 installed, although without success and the same message that appears in:-'Windows could not connect to the network', and while troubleshooting, problem found to be:-'problem with wireless adapter or access point '.

Any advice / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks and regards,
    John P.

    Hello

I can't say with certainty why your Tecra is unable to connect to the new router but try it please check WLAN card properties and do not forget that, under the "Wireless Mode" option, all the modes are enabled.
And also remember that identical methods (a, b, g, n) are also enabled on new router.

Start please by that and send please a few comments in this regard.

IM obviously something wrong. Is it everything I need for my Tecra? I have a wireless adapter as well - do I need a card slot wireless network? I'm really confused! To be on the safe side, I had to get someone to help tomorrow, that Im not happy not best subject - I don't really like strangers looking at my PC.lol! So I need to make sure I have everything ready for when it comes along. Thanks for all tips greatly appreciated

    Hello Sarah

First of all it will be interesting to know if you have the same problem with other PC connected to your router or simply with your laptop Tecra. I guess you use LAN connectivity and want sign Tecra Netgear router.

I hope that your router is just configured, then set it to PPPoE (dynamic connection type) and you don't have fixed IP address. Check please LAN properties and do not forget that in the properties TCP/IP IP address should be set to obtain an IP address automatically.

Please also check the State of LAN card in Device Manager and do not forget the network card is installed correctly, listed and also allowed. Please go to control panel > network connections, click with the right button of the mouse by connecting to the Local network and check the STATUS. What is shown here?

If you have the wireless network card you can also establish WIFI connection but this is another theme.

  • Cannot restore my Tecra A10 from recovery disc

    Hello

I'm having a problem restoring my C disk from a disk image. The Toshiba HARD drive recovery utility seems to have disappeared from my computer.
When I followed the instructions for restoring (be it by pressing 0, or F8 during startup to access the HARD drive recovery utility) I finally get a message saying

"The creation of means of recovery is impossibe! File recovery HARD drive on the second disc of the first hard drive not found. There is no valid disk HARD recovery environment on this computer. »

(I get a similar message if I try to open the Toshiba recovery disc creator in the start menu)

Because this does not work, I tried using recovery discs that I have made previously using the same utility. I insert the disk and start the computer (according to instructions), but nothing happens and it starts Windows normally. How can I use these discs?

My laptop is a Tecra A10 16 d Windows vista professional.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

As much as I know saved on HARD drive recovery image can't disappear. I guess you did a few exchanges of structure of HARD drive and now recorded image is not found by the wizard of HARD drive recovery or Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator. Both of these tools know where to look for it, but if they do not find specific markers you will get this message.

Now the only option for you is the use of recovery disks.
Do you use this disk for the first time now?
When you check the contents of the disc in Windows Explorer you will see the content?

Then try to boot using the created disc. Start Notepad, and then press F12. When the boot menu appears on the screen, place the disc in the ODD, choose the CD/DVD drive on the list and press ENTER.

What happens when you do this?
