  I have a windows 2008 R2 server with 5 licenses of Terminal Server. I set it up so that users can RDP to the server using RDP and access other machines via VNC, it's not connetced to a domain or whatever it is.
  All users can connect using any OS - Win XP, Win 7, but a user cannot get to their place of work - I can connect from home, of Germany, etc. using the same user name and password, but they can get on the server but their access is denied.

  I understand how to connect to an existing site with Dreamweaver, it seems that the previous functionality to use BC modules in DW has disappeared. Is my only option to go beck to an older version?

  Effective in 2015 CC, Adobe dropped the Manager extensions and stopped further development of the Extension of the BC.  To proceed you must now log in to the servers of BC with sFTP.

• Is .shtml necessary when using includes with Dreamweaver?

  After 4 years using FrontPage, I made the move to Dreamweaver CS3. I'm working on a new website, the test page so that it is currently at http://www.hwedfund.org/index.shtml. All the sites I have created up to now with FrontPage are based model and use includes the navigation system. I want to do the same with Dreamweaver, and at first blush, it seems to only work with serverside includes. What I get on the Help menu, it's to work, I have to use the .shtml extension. I was hoping to just use .htm, or at the worst .html. . Shtml is really necessary? Is there a way I can do and have .htm as an extension?
  
  Another thing that I learned is a tool called 'library elements' that sounds like an inclusion for me, but I've not experimented with it yet.
  
  That would you suggest is the best route for me to take?

  I worked with technical support to my host (WestHost) who helped me to make changes to the file Apache located in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf (your location may be different, and too many files of your Apache). The article that I have worked with looked like this before the change:

  # AddType text/html .shtml
  AddOutputFilter INCLUDES .shtml
  #

  And then after the change:

  # AddType text/html .shtml
  AddOutputFilter INCLUDES .shtml .html .htm
  #

  I returned and changed the file .htm extensions, and it worked.

  PS, I was asked what I don't like .shtml, and I guess the answer is that I'd rather have the shortest extension possible. In the grand scheme of things, it's not a huge problem.

  One of my friends told me that he has disabled the software of the Webcam at MSCONFIG startup and after that he has no problem using cam with other applications. You can try to test it.

  Better to try something like this:

• A FTP with Dreamweaver CC transfer constantly hang up

  I'm a long time Dreamweaver user.  Try the evaluation version of DW cc.  I'm on an Imac, new installation of Yosemite - no previous version of DW on this machine.

  When you download the files to my remote server, if intermittently connects to the server.  Then, if not intermittently from connect-it downloads files - usually it says "file transfer" then stops and says ftp cannot be completed-check firewall.  I have all the firewall off.

  I enabled FTP options in the section more options of the server configuration tab.  I deleted the MacFileCache.dat file... I have re-set up my remote server a bunch of times... Still does not work.  I really don't see myself paying for this software if it does not work!

  I have no problem downloading files with TextWrangler, so I guess it's a matter of DW.  I spent at least 15 hours dealing with this issue - HELP!

  I have no problem with the FTP of DW, but some people have reported problems with some hosts.  Make sure that you send to the correct site root directory.  Passive FTP mode seems to work for me better.

  There was a bug fixed with rhapsody in the latest firmware. format the device by using the settings menu, upgrade to the latest firmware using the post at the top of this map and reload your content.

• FTP with Dreamweaver CS 5.5 connection problems

  I was fine with my monthly updates of web to some web pages I'm grammatical when all of a sudden, my FTP connection stopped working.

  I have tried everything and know that everything is connected.  I was Obamorized so I can't afford to upgrade to a newer version of DW; I don't have the money. I can only work with what I have: CS 5.5.

  Please email me some suggestions or ideas. I have a monthly audience ranging between 40 000 and 60,000 visitors a month and need to get these updates made...

  I had several problems with DW via ftp. I use DW as it was a Macromedia product and am familiar with the server settings. etc.

  The biggest problem comes from my using DW at work and also at home. Changes to the work, and then when you work at home I try to 'get' a particular folder so I have updated code, and DW fails as follows:

  These errors occur with computers Mac 10.7 and 10.8 that connect to different Internet service providers, and I work with the hosting company to see if there are questions, but earlier I made a change to a file and tried to download it.  DW has failed several times.

  I work with, say, entry.php, live on the site.  I want to rename my local file to entryR0 and save the file as, but does not have downloaded from the site, that at the local level, so I have to add a space or something so I can use Save, then perhaps that the file is downloaded.

  I passed, that works perfectly, but I don't want to stop my workflow to use for a single file.

  Any suggestions are welcome with gratitude!

  Thanks for your help.  The server has just been migrated and file transfer issues no longer exist. I left the settings that 30 second timeout and pasv FTP option.  There is no problem now trying to 'get' a large file on the new server files.

  My ISP has been proactive in the migration of the server, and everything by not telling the old server was the problem, it would certainly seem the root cause.

  and the Windows partition. I made my mistake checking on Windows & FF
  Any ftp site, including sao - ftp.cfa.harvard.edu gives the time limit check error message.
  Checked the window firewall and config port 20 and 21: NO DIFFERENCE

  Responsible for FireFTP and tried above sites: get the message unable to connect, please try again

• Since I updated to Firefox 8 on Mac OS x 10.4.11, Firefox does not open more (not same previous versions downloaded via Safari). I get the error message "You cannot use Firefox with this version of Mac OS x" (translated from Dutch).

  I tried to create a new profile, the problem remains the same.

  None of the 3 accounts on this desktop computer can use Firefox. This has never been a problem. Today (14.11.11) I've updated Firefox to 8 and nothing more. Via Safari, I downloaded Firefox 7 to reinstall, same error message.

  From Firefox 4, Mac must have an Intel x 86 processor (which you do not have) and OSX 10.5 or higher (version OSX 10.4).

  The good news is that Firefox 3.6.24 still support OSX 10.4 and Mac with the PPC Mac architecture. The bad news is that the support for Firefox 3.6.x series is likely to end in the first quarter of 2012.

  Try to disconnect all the external devices and install Windows from the Toshiba restore CD.
