  I have a model of Macbook Pro 13 of the retina (mid-2013) .

  A few months back the display has stopped working, but when I hooked to an external monitor everything worked as expected except the screen of course.

  I took it to the service center and a descent computer repair shop and they both said that display connection with the logic board is fried and they need to fix the logic board that retina display is fine.

  The price they are quoting is about $ 900, which is not fair.

  The logic card cannot be repaired?

  anyone else in a similar situation?

  If all the otherwise failed I think I'll delete the entire display of macbook. Someone knows how to do this?

  Because of the tiny parts and connections on a logic board, repair is usually not an option. I don't say it can't be done, but it's hard to find someone who can / will work on resolder delicate bits on a LB (redistribution) without making a mess of labor law.

  You live in the United States? If so, ask about a "repair." Instead of working on the computer in the Apple Store, they send to Apple rehabilitation center where they pretty much fix everything what they find wrong inside (with the exception of the display unit itself) for a flat rate that is much lower than the cost that you quoted for repair in the store. I believe that the current price for this service is approximately US$ 315.

  The only downside I see is that the repair takes about a week, largely during the transportation to and from the depot.

  If you are not in the United States, ask anyway. I don't know what Apple has implemented for this kind of repair outside the United States.

  I use Oracle 10 g with forms 6i. I had a requirement where I gotto choose the latest ten records and view the sorting in the opposite order.say for ex.
  

  Cursor C is select * from (select ename,sal from emp order by sal desc) where rownum<=10;

  But my problem is all the time that I came to know that we cannot use the order by clause in the view of a cursor line in forms 6i. Think it's one of the limitations of forms 6i.so u can suggest me what I can do to get the expected results? do we not have any alternative?

  Forms 6i must be with an older version of SQL and PL/SQL (8.x).

  To keep it simple create a VIEW in the comics with your as its source and the use of the VIEW in the form. As you noted, it works in 10g and exploit it.
