  Sorry if Im this ad in the wrong forum, but I just got a new HP laptop and I can't use the touchpad in now the keys down. I'm playing a game that requires the touchpad to look around, but I can't. Ive already tried disable palmcheck and only allowed me to look around for a second short before the cursor locked up and I wouldn't be able to look around again until I wasn't pressing the keys.   Normally, you just have to disable SmartSense or PalmCheck Control Panel of Synaptics - but from what I've seen, it seems no longer works for Windows 10 versions of this driver.

  You may be able to work around this problem as follows.

  First, download the Synaptics driver on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  Version of the Synaptics 17.0.18.8 driver

  Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

  Open Control Panel, open programs and features, right click on the Synaptics driver and select uninstall.

  When finished, restart the laptop.

  When windows rebooted, open your download folder and re-run the installer of Synaptics - when it is finished, restart the laptop.

  Open the Synaptics settings panel, disable SmartSense or PalmCheck , then check if the touchpad works now with a key on the keyboard is pressed.

  If so, turn on your wireless card and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the Synaptics driver.

  I recently got a laptop hard drive to my Qosmio f60 replacement and windows had to be reloaded.
  Then my cell phone worked before I could two fingers scrolling on pages and others.
  Now, I can't, and I can't find a setting for this anywhere.

  Ive downloaded a driver called "scrybe" that allows me to do this,
  but I'd rather widely does not run a processor extra and just using the default function of portable.

  Can someone explain why my laptop before do me that and now cant? and how can I solve this problem?

  I downloaded new drivers but still no go. When I press FN and F9 together there is no response. I unplugged my Qosmio laser mouse. Restarted but still no go...

  In some cases, the BIOS displays the option to enable and disable the touchpad (pointing device).

  Have you checked whether its active in BIOS?

  You did not mention this program what happens to, but even in the case of the office, there are standard methods to adjust the zoom level with the keyboard.

  I m not very well what's causing this, but it might be possible that you have activated a touchpad option that could cause this.

  Please check the option in the control panel-> mouse->-> settings (or properties) pointing device
  There you should find the Synaptics touchpad options

  Check if you can find some options that may have an impact on this issue.

  If it please be aware that FN + space keys would change the screen resolution too.
  Maybe you enabled it.

  I just bought the laptop of HP Envy 17 in Windows 8.

  One problem I have is when running games such as Call of Duty, I need to be able to use the touchpad with the keyboard to control the game properly.  It seems that, once I have a key that is pressed, the computer does not accept any entrance of the touchpad until I release the key.

  Will there be an option in the Panel, maybe I need to change to enable the simultaneous entry of keyboard and the touchpad?

  This problem may be caused by a touchpad setting which is intended to avoid any accidental activation - for example if your Palm brush the touchpad when typing.

  You can change this as follows.

  Open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  In the new page layout, select the entry of Synaptics.

  The hardware/software version will depend on real option that you're looking for (see the example below), but it is usually called 'check' Palm or Smart Sense'-disable this function and apply the changes.

  Go to start /Control Panel, and then double-click the icon '' mouse. '' When this window opens, select the tab "Touch Pad" at the top. There's a box near the bottom called "Touch sensitivity", click on that. Change the settings a little bit lower than what they are currently at.
