Canon MP510: Printer does not

Hi, everytime I go to print from my laptop, the printer status bar says "printer not responding do not" and I tried everything, as far as I can see and it is not simply have it all.


Please help, I need to print for a Uni project this week.

Two things come to mind. First of all, your print spooler works, and in the second place, is your printer driver to day?

To start, go to control panel, click on devices and printers, click your printer. Is there a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark above (right click, and then click Properties)? What information it gives you? If your print spooler does not work, which is usually corrected by restarting your computer.

Then go to canon.com, click this ilnk; http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_mp_series/pixma_mp510 . This will take you to the drivers for your printer, and you can download the latest driver for your operating system and Bit depth. Alternatively, you can contact Canon directly support from this page so enter their user forum.

    On my Xp computer the canon i865 printer works perfectly, however this computer is old and regularly stops. My son had his old computer that uses Vista, but the printer will not print at best, black. According to microsoft, the printer is compatible and I downloaded the recommended driver, tried to intervene on the settings, uninstalled and installed several times, etc.
    Is there a fix or is it possible to transfer the Xp from my old computer to replace the Vista?

    Unfortunately not. I just posted a question on drive C of the computer Xp through the copy on drive D of the computer Vista and boot of it, that is to say use it with Xp. Maybe this is the way forward and I prefer Xp anyway.

    If win7 drivers/software are available they will be freely available on the support site for Canon, as the manufacturer of your hardware.

    I lost instructions and can't download the manual though, like many others I tried for hours!

    This is a question for CANON - those who make and take over the device in question.  Everything you describe indicate that this is NOT a computer / software somehow problem and the problem would be the same if the device was not connected to any computer at all, an OS X one or a Linux one...

    I suggest out of ink, check you removed all the "stickers" on the ink that * need * to be removed to work properly and make sure that the ink properly.  Print the pattern check nozzles and then to make sure that everything is installed properly:

    1. Make sure that the power is turned on.

    1. Load a sheet of A4 or letter paper format in the front tray.

    1. Open the output tray extension, open the paper output tray, and then extend the output paper support.

    1. Print the nozzle check pattern.

    (1) press on the button in Maintenance for poster has.

    (2) press the color or black.

    I got the Pixma MG5320 for a few years. All computers are connected by wifi. Not had any problems until yesterday. The printer is displayed in offline mode in all computers suddenly and nothing can be sent to the printer. I tried to turn the printer off and on several times. The printer itself seems fine. I did the same thing to computers. The printer does not appear in network. I use Windows 7 and Windows 10.

    Anyone know what is the problem and how to fix it? This is the problem with the wifi the printer component and is it replaceable?  I have a lot of unused cartridges. Just too lazy to replace this printer yet.

    If I connect the printer to my laptop using the same USB, it works.

    Suspect the driver probs.

    I have a home network with a router of Time Capsule.

    I connected my Cannon MX920 wireless network.

    The printer worked very well for my MacBook Air, my iMac, my Windows laptop, 10, my iPad and my iPhone.

    There are no known pending software updates to devices.

    I connected my HP OfficeJet 6500 (E709a) for the MacBook Air via USB and it works very well.

    I installed on the portable Windows 10 Hello and I can print to the printer OfficeJet @ MacBook Air laptop Windows 10 and the iMac (and of course the MacBook Air) very well.

    In Safari / Bookmarks / Hello on the MacBook Air, ONLY the Cannon printer is listed.  The OfficeJet directly attached via the USB port does NOT appear.

    My QUESTION is how can I make the printer OfficeJet @ MacBook Air appears as option in the printer Options / recent printers of dialogue so I can print to it from my IOS devices?

    This seems to be a pretty simple configuration problem, and I don't see the need to spent $ 20 on the App Store to make it work.  I see some comments along the lines of this problem, but the solutions are quite difficult to follow and seem to depend on having the printer appear in Safari / Bookmarks / Bonjour list.

    I'll appreciate any solution (or explanation as to why it isn't a).

    Thank you for reaching out to the Community Support from Apple. I know how useful it can be to have all your devices on the network with a central printer, and I'd like to help offer a glimpse into what could prevent your of you using to print to your HP 6500 iOS devices.

    In order to print from a device iOS, the printer must be connected to the same Wi - Fi network and supports the Air Print feature. After some research, it seems that the 6500 HP does not support this feature directly. You may be able to find a solution based on HP in the App Store app, but this printer does not have Air Print capacity based on support documentation, that I could find at HP.

    Try a reboot.

    Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

    Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

    Isolate a problem by using a different user account

    If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.
