Canon XF 100HD or Canon EOS 7 d?

Good friends

I had a JVC HDY U100 camcorder and I used it to turn some music videos, short, I sold it, I was not very satisfied with the quality of this one, I used several parameters and the ways to take 5 mins songs, but I finished not very satisfied, I used HD30p (720 p) and SD, but at the end I noticed that my Sony PD170 does better than my JVC.

Now I plan to buy a new camera, I thinking about buying the new Canon XF100 or Canon D7 (although XF100 may are not yet out)

All I use is for short video clips, obviously I'll shoot HD for YT and etc, but ultimately I have to convert back to the DD.

The 2 models sounds good or you might have a suggestions.

Any help or ideas will be appreciated!

It's a zoom lens, then yes it can zoom in and out.

On SLR zoom is controlled by the lens itself is not as if the camera could not simply to prevent zoom in video mode, then it is all manual, Yes when shooting video, you will be able to zoom in and out as you please.

  • Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update Canon EOS 80 d

    Hello

I am trying to import RAW + JPEG images of my new Canon EOS 80 d in Photos. When I try to choose images-> use BRUTE as the original , I get the following error message:

    Cannot switch Original.

Pictures cannot move to the original because the RAW is not supported.

I wonder now if the current version of Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update includes the 80 d EOS, and if not, when it will be updated.

    My version of Photos is:

    Version 1.5 (370.42.0)

    Digital camera RAW 6.18.1 (831)

Digital Camera Support RAW 6181 (207)

    Best,

    Chris

I have not seen the 80 EOS D on the RAW supports list - Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

Support of Canon is generally fast so I hope that with the next RAW update

  • Canon Flash 430EX 11 to go with my Canon EOS camera D 70 with a 18-135mm lens.

I bought a Canon 430EX 11 Flash to go with my Canon EOS camera D 70 with a 18-135mm lens. Flash displays the icon confirming the auto zoom only intermittent and when it isn't, twist the zoom of the camera does not appear on the screen of the flash.  The batteries are charged and the flash is locked on the camera.

I'm not entirely sure I understand your question.  The 430EX II has can be put in a mode where it automatically follows the camera zoom (within the limits... 24 mm to 105 mm), but you can ALSO put it in a mode where you manually control the zoom flash.  If it's in the manual control mode, so it won't automatically zoom.

It is important that the 'broad' Panel not in use (if you go out and go back to the bottom of the Panel then flash will go to wide angle and zoom not EVEN if it was in auto mode.)

Press the Zoom button, then use the - / + keys to change the zoom.

When under manual control, there is a black "M" icon that appears the word "Zoom".  If the "M" is not present then it is auto zoom mode.

Finally... When you change the zoom on the camera lens, generally nothing will happen on the flash UNTIL you wake up the system by doing a half - press the shutter button.    When the camera wakes up to the meter and focus... it is when she allows to set the zoom on the flash head.

  • Canon EOS Rebel II value?

I'm having a lot of trouble finding my camera on the internet anywhere. I want to sell online but don't have an idea of what a fair price. With it, I have a unopned new duracel battery, a can of unopned 35mm film of York. There is no lens, but the camera itself is in excellent conditon. I can't find a model number, just a reference number? stamped on the bottom.

    Here's what I know:

It says Canon EOS Rebel on the front and the front corner, there's the Roman numeral II (two).

On the bottom it says Canon Inc.   Made in Taiwan 5216757 that's all.

I'm totally confused, please help so that I can sell this product at a fair price to someone who will get use out of it! Thank you!

P.S. I can post pictures using html if this will help

    Hello, CraigslistCam!

Take a look at this link

In the list on the bottom, it shows the Rebel II as one of the 'alias' of this same organization (EOS REBEL II [A] / EOS 1000 N [E]: without QD and function of flash).

    We hope this helps!

  • How to add a mic on Canon EOS 1200D?

    Hello

I belong to the consumer of the Canon EOS 1200D with EF 18-55 MM Kit lens. I noticed that it doesn't have an audio input. However, I like to record the audio of my table mixer and video of my digital SLR simultaneeously without video editing. Is it possible to add an audio input to the camera?

    Thank you

Negative results.  You must save your audio separately and then use video editing.  Use a digital slate on audio and video synchronization.

  • can I know the reason for the change of color in the image - canon EOS rebel T5

Hi, I am using canon EOS rebel T5... Recently whenver I clicked on an image using this device, I get color variation in the image that I've highlighted in the image below... It's because of the lens or the camera settings... Pls help me to get a clear picture

What are compression of camera settings, for example, I use fat with Fine quality

This 478KO scares me, it's really small for a 4000 x 2000 image. You use too much jpeg compression which is ruining the image. You need to set a level of quality JPEG 9 or 10 - it will result in larger images, but as you can see, throw the data has detracted from your images.

If you want to send pictures, decide first the smaller number of pixels you can hang out with and then use just enough of JPEG compression to get the size you want.

  • Canon EOS 600 d producing dark tones of RAW images (.) CR2)

    Hello

I'm new in the world of photography, using my Canon EOS 600 d for these past two years. I have turned off later just started shooting in RAW (.) CR2) format, mainly RAW + L. What I see is that all my CR2 files have a blackish tone added to them over the same JPEG formats. All images are all taken in manual mode.

Could you please help me with the below.

    1. There is a problem with the Canon EOS 600 d model. Friends of my friends with Canon EOS 600 d are complained of the same show.
    2. If it is not a problem with the camera series, is there a solution ready? By changing some settings or...
    3. If so could someone please share the same with me in this forum.
    4. If it cannot be resolved by simple change of parameters in the model of camera, can anyone please provide some resolutions in adobe photoshop, cameraRAW, adobe LightRoom or any other software.
    5. Discuss about it with some friends of friends who have had recourse to Canon EOS 60 d and 5 d series and none have faced the same issue with RAW formats.

I stuck a few examples below. I was unable to view images of CR2 in this forum, just open images using picasa and taken screenshots and paste as simple images.

Any help will be much appreciated and really useful for me. Please ignore if I am sounds very stupid, I am new in this field.

    Thank you

    Boissière

I think that Picasa is your problem.  All RAW converters are different.  Mr. Martin is correct to a point, but most of the converters apply the settings that you have made in your camera in a tag file.  This is how a RAW file can even be posted. Otherwise, you can not view a RAW file.  IMHO, Adobe is the best RAW converter.  It is a view shared by photographers professionals and laboratories.  You can certainly use PLR as your RAW converter.  After all, it's own Canon, and it's free.  But I recommend you get one of the programs Adobe Photoshop Elemets 6 Lightroom or Photoshop full blown.

Even some of the free converters are better than Picasa.  GIMPshop for example or Darktable (Mac).

Remember that it is always better to get the right settings in the camera rather than rely on the post to do.  ACR 9 will apply these settings for beginners.

  • Used Canon EOS 40 d 10.1 MP Digital SLR Camera body or new Canon EOS Rebel T3

Who is a better camera? Used camera Canon EOS 40 d DSLR Body 10.1MP or new Canon EOS Rebel T3 12.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR digital (box)

    You are a pixel-peeper?

If this isn't the case, I doubt that you can see the difference. I guess that's what you're talking about since you did mention the MP of each. The MP of a camera is not the single assessment point as the 40 d is a fine camera better than a rebel.

The 40 d leans more towards the pro series cameras and the Rebel T3 is more towards the amateur line. IMHO, as always.

  • Canon EOS 70 d giving garbeled photos

My new Canon EOS 70 d gives didital garbeled photos. This happens for ~1/20 I took photos. A strange thing about the preview just after a shot of 'bad' looked OK / normal did once later on the camera or download the distorted image appear.  Curiously, if a bad photo to save the photo thumbnail to my desktop icon seems OK

    Photo Details: 5472 x 3648 pix jpeg

Before contacting Canon it is a problem with a simple solution?

Low level format your sd card and change your way to transfer your pictures from the camera to the computer. If the photos looked in the camera and you can enlarge in the problem is being transferred.

  • Images showing red blue spot and they are not sharp at all - Canon EOS 600 d

    Hello

A month ago I bougth Canon EOS 600 D with 18-55 mm and 55-250 mm lens and everything is fine I capture images of the Moon and wildlife photography.

But now I am facing a problem with it.

Recently, I tried to capture pictures with my Canon EOS 600 d and suddenly, I noticed that the pictures are not sharp at all and the images show task red and blue. I don't know what to do I'm just an ammature in the present.

Please can someone help me with this problem.

It is chromatic aberration, it's a type of distortion that exists in all optical components to a certain extent, but varies depending on the lens.  In general, the less expensive lenses will be more CA, especially something like the kit lenses.  You'll notice more in high contrast situations, like a brilliant white on a black background.  You can fix it to a certain extent in post with programs like Lightroom or Photoshop.

  • My Canon EOS 20 d is not connecting to my computer?

I'm trying to connect my Canon EOS 20 d to a computer I use at school. I'm in the directory and need to transfer photos to the computer. Computers are Alien Ware running on Windows 7. What should I do? When I plug it in, it says install Canon digital camera and when it ends, I can't find the files anywhere! I've looked everywhere!

In the camera menu change type of Communication to the MTR.  But you are better off getting a card reader and simply remove completely from the 20 d CF card.  Your school or the computer should already have one.

  • Canon EOS 1000 d does not work

    Hi all

I have a canon eos 1000 d and the use of the camera for a shot on a 64-bit windows computer 7, everything worked fine until I took a photo and the program has stopped responding. I finished the program and disconnected from the camera, after that if I try to connect the camera to the computer again it starts to install drivers so windows says the device has malfunctioned and was arrested. I tried to connect to another computer and the same thing happens, I also reinstalled the firmware (1.0.7) and has not touched anything. The camera still works fine on its own. Help, please.

If you haven't already done so, I recommend to download and reinstall the drivers from Canon and the software on your computer. I assume you are using EOS Utilities for remote shooting... Perhaps that has been corrupted in some way, on your computer is the main I would update.

If this does not resolve the problem, I try another USB cable and carefully check the cable to the computer and the camera shots.

I hope that this action has resolved the problem.
