My Canon EOS 20 d is not connecting to my computer?

I'm trying to connect my Canon EOS 20 d to a computer I use at school. I'm in the directory and need to transfer photos to the computer. Computers are Alien Ware running on Windows 7. What should I do? When I plug it in, it says install Canon digital camera and when it ends, I can't find the files anywhere! I've looked everywhere!

In the camera menu change type of Communication to the MTR.  But you are better off getting a card reader and simply remove completely from the 20 d CF card.  Your school or the computer should already have one.

First thing to do is to check its compatibility Vista at the link above, and if not to see what are the solutions/patches are available from Canon.

If it's Vista compatible > uninstall it, if installed > Re-download/save to your desktop > right click on setup.exe O run as admin.

  • Envy 15 t-j100 Select Edition: the device is not connected to the computer. Please insert the authentication device.

    Hello

So I'm working on a LT desire that has been upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10 recently and it is this message on the login screen "the device is not connected to the computer. Insert the authentication device. We can't identify what it means or what needs to be done to clear the screen. The user States that the fingerprints of impression of BIO sensor doesn't seem to work either. I looked in the Device Manager, and I see a Synaptics PS sensors (WBF) listed here and is properly installed. I even updated the driver of sensor ep on the support site of the desire, and we still see on the login screen.

Y at - it no information or help to clear this message?

We also note that the number on the keypad lock seems to be disabled during startup of windows 10 upwards. Before on windows 8.1 has been activated. Is there any setting to 10 to keep the active number lock.

The user says if 10 can be made to work well, then we can go back to 7 or 8.

    Please notify.

    Thank you for your time.

Seems to have been resolved in re - install the software HP Simple pass then go and reconfigure the settings. Message no longer appears on 10. User LT installed with 7 however. Best decision.

  • Example: officejet j4580: why my printer say my appears not connected to my computer

Why my printer say my appears not connected to my computer

    Hello @momodeda!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I don't know why the computer does not show the printer offline, but I would be happy to provide help to try and get communicating them again!

The first thing I would suggest is to power cycle all the devices.  Remove the power to the printer, shut down the computer and remove the power to the router.  Wait 20 seconds, then reconnect the router.  Wait for the lights on the router to return.

Plug the printer in and turn on the computer.  Once all devices are back on, try printing again.

If this does not work then I would recommend uninstalling the HP software.  Once the uninstall is complete, it would be wise to perform a cleanup of the computer disk. A disk cleanup will improve the performance of the computer and remove the temporary files that may cause problems during the installation of the software. Once disk cleanup you must restart the computer and reinstall the HP software.

To uninstall the HP software, click here: uninstall the HP software

To perform a disk cleanup, click here: perform a disk cleanup

To download the HP software, click here: HP Officejet full feature and driver software

If please, after back and let me know how it goes!

  • H233H"cable not connected" with the computer is turned off

My H233H monitor displays an annoying blue "cable not connected" when my computer is off or in stand-by mode.  Monitor works find out otherwise and all the buttons on the front panel work.  But impossible to find a setting that will turn the monitor off when the computer stops sending a signal.

If I unplug the cable from the monitor to the computer's HDMI, should not the monitor eventually fade or go to sleeo?  Or will she continue to display this message "cable not connected" blue indefinitely?

    Thank you

Well, I realized that it is a problem of Acer monitor with HDMI input.

There is no problem if I connect my H233H monitor with VGA or DVI cable.

Just thought I'd come back and answer my own question if someone ever comes back here with a similar problem.

    Good luck...

My Sony HDR-CX150 is not connecting to my computer and when I select "USB connection" said preparation... and stay that way for hours without success. Someone can help me.

    Hello Mohammad.
Welcome to the community of Sony.

The camcorder appears above all by establishing the connection with the computer. Depending on the speed of the computer, the time to establish a connection can vary. If the problem is still not resolved, connect the camera to a different USB port on the computer. Additionally, make sure that you use the dedicated, supplied with the camcorder USB cable to connect it to the computer. Alternatively, you can contact our team of technical support for additional troubleshooting steps.

  • HP deskjet 3050 series suddenly not connected to my computer

Model number J610a - I installed this a couple of years ago and had been fine up til a few weeks of work (scanner and printer) with wireless connectivity. I use Windows 7 Home Premium

Firstly, he said that the scanner was not connected and that I needed to download the software. Whenever I tried to do, he tries to download the software but failed. Now, the printer does not work - it says that the software is installed, but that the printer is not connected to my computer. When I try to follow the steps to connect using the USB cable, the computer shows that the usb cable is connected even! I tried to use printing HP and Scan doctor but that doesn't work either!

    Help, please!

    Hi mpele,.

I found something that I am confident will help. Please try the following:

    1. Make sure your virus checker is updated and then run a full virus scan.
    2. If you do not have a scanner of Malware such as Malwarebytes (www.malwarebytes.org) I would be one to install and run a full scan and remove any malicious software that is found.

After these two steps restart then try a fresh uninstall and reinstall.

You can't send a FAX via a connection to broadband. Fax is essentially specialized phones and requires that a service composition is used at BOTH ends.

You can buy an analogue Fax/modem (USB types work well enough) or use a service to convert fax email...

  • Canon EOS 1000 d does not work

    Hi all

I have a canon eos 1000 d and the use of the camera for a shot on a 64-bit windows computer 7, everything worked fine until I took a photo and the program has stopped responding. I finished the program and disconnected from the camera, after that if I try to connect the camera to the computer again it starts to install drivers so windows says the device has malfunctioned and was arrested. I tried to connect to another computer and the same thing happens, I also reinstalled the firmware (1.0.7) and has not touched anything. The camera still works fine on its own. Help, please.

If you haven't already done so, I recommend to download and reinstall the drivers from Canon and the software on your computer. I assume you are using EOS Utilities for remote shooting... Perhaps that has been corrupted in some way, on your computer is the main I would update.

If this does not resolve the problem, I try another USB cable and carefully check the cable to the computer and the camera shots.

I hope that this action has resolved the problem.

  • Canon EOS 400 d/XTi not recognized on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

When I plug my Canon 400 d on Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate N, Windows detects a new device which is indicated under "Devices and printers", "Not specified" as "Digital camera Canon", but it fails to load/install the drivers to make it functional.

    Hardware ID are:

    USB\VID_04A9 & PID_3110 & REV_0002
    USB\VID_04A9 & PID_3110

Is there no workaround solution to manually tell Windows to use a generic driver.
I also installed the software of my Canon Solution Disk Canon (and - later - same Canon EOS Utility 2.6.1 upgrade) does not.

As mentioned above, you can use Windows Virtual PC.  On my Win 7 64 bit, it was already installed.  Maybe it was a result of the optional updates of windows I've done.  There should be a folder in 'Start-> all programs' near the bottom of the list.  Select "Windows XP mode" here.  If you do not, just Google for "Windows Virtual PC" and d/load for free on the MS site of.  Installation is quite simple.  Then start Windows XP virtual session.  It will take time to given itself the first time you run, but in the end that it will look and function exactly like Win XP in a window and it will be able to run most, if not all, older programs that do not work under Win 7 including EOS utility.  There, you can install the Windows XP drivers for your EOS camera from Canon site.  Restart the session Win XP (and not on your computer), connect your camera and on top of the virtual screen XP, you will see the USB pull down.  Under USB, you should see Canon digital camera.  Select 'home '.  If it works, you know that the driver is correctly installed.

Then install your EOS Utility (in your session Virtual PC XP, of course), do the update of the site of Canon, and all features are available.  Including the command remotely via the USB port.

PS You can install EOS utility update even if you do not have the original CD.  Update is complete installation.  It simply checks if EOS utility has never been installed before.  And it's just a metter of a coupe of parameters in the registry to trick the it.  Google for 'EOS Utility installation' and you can find it.

    Good luck!

  • HP DESKJET Ink Advantage 2135: My printer is not connecting to my computer

I get a weird message from windows 'the last device you connected is not recognized by windows. I don't know how to solve this problem. Help, please

    Hello Kostas2

Usually, the best way to resolve this type of problem is to uninstall the printer and then reinstalling it again.

Download the full recommended software here...

    DJ2130_61.exe (115.8 MB)

Turn off the printer, then unplug the USB from the computer.

Right-click on Start, choose Control Panel> programs> uninstall a program.

Uninstall everything about the HP printer , including the printer, HP image zone, Director of HP's image, or what is installed on your system.

Also uninstall all other printers (if any) that you do not use.

Restart the computer and the printer (do not connect the USB cable again).

Right-click on Start and choose Control Panel> hardware and sound> devices and printers and make sure that the printer is no more. If that is the case, then right-click on it and choose Remove the instrument.

Install the downloaded software and drivers from above. Follow the instructions that it will ask you to plug the USB cable into the computer.

Let me know how it goes.
